If you want wine and maybe more, then you can't beat Accent on Wine.. ove had ice wine here this deep in the south.. if you choose to sit outside theb don't expect great service but that could easily be a sign of the times out door smoking. The cute tasty miniwhiches were not quite enough so ordered a three meat two cheese and one item to surprise. Ill let you know how they do.. very tasty. DOon't be fooled by thinking you're not going to get much with the small, 3 piece charcuterie platter. We selected 2 cheeses and 1 cured meat thinking that we just wanted a light snake. It was huge! I dare say it was almost too generous. It was loaded with generous portions of the 3 items we selected along with some pickled veggies, dried fruits and nuts and about half a loaf of French baguette. We couldn't finish it. A minor complaint is that the baguette was a bit meh. It was just there. Not perfectly fresh, but not bad. It would have been better toasted or substituted with some good quality crackers. Otherwise, a heart place to hang out. Will definitely revisit. read more

We kept ordering bottles and glasses of wine and that cranberry goat cheese is so good. The employees were so pleasant and patient. I had some wine that was good the whole night. All was well until a group of snobby folks came who clearly doesn't know how to have fun and was saying stuff out loud like they could not hear themselves speak. BE WARNED: I really like this place. In fact, I voted for it in the Summerville Journal Scene Best Of competition in a couple of categories. But I and my friends are now torn as to whether or not we'll come back again. I was FLOORED watching as an AOW bartender or owner, not sure which, refused service to a male, African-American customer who was wearing a Trump hat this past Saturday in an act of ultimate discrimination--discrimination against his right as a citizen to silently support his President. It was a red hat that simply said Trump, and the AOW person repeated himself a few times that he "didn't want any politics in his place." He also explained AOW has easily triggered Customers--whatever that means! So if you are a customer here, you have to leave your first amendment rights in your car as relates to what you wear or be refused service as this Gentleman was. Response to AOW: Thanks for the response. Discriminating against that customer's right to free speach is what I watched happen though. It isn't my viewpoint. It's a fact. He was told to take off the hat with the President's's name or to leave, and I heard it and watched it happen. So please don't cloak this in opinion. That's not what this was. And then three other people watched while the owner told us we could wear gay pride hats if we wanted, but not patriotic ones supporting the President. It was shameful. You owe that customer an apology, and the public a true commitment to the peaceful self expression you squashed. People here are intelligent enough to see the PC noncommittal in this answer. read more

What a great wine selection! They have wine for everyone taste and budget. By the glass or bottle. Wine bar or pick up and go. Prices are pretty reasonable, but dont fo there expecting it to be as cheap as your local Total Wine. They offer an amazing selection of beer as well. You won't find your local domestic drafts here, but a great selection of imports. I found the "wine by the glass" selection had a very wide variety. It was definitely great for everyone. The cheese boards looked amazing, so I'm going to get one next time. They offer seating inside and out, which offers a great view for people watching. The inside has lots of seating and it looks amazing! What I didn't like was our menu...it was super dirty and stained. Kind of gross. But overall a pretty good experience. Although a beautful interior we had horrible service while there. We went to celebrate my mother's birthday. When I told the server it was her birthday, she said a very unexcited happy Birthday! When ordering the wine, I mentioned to my mother to order the red wine she liked which earned me a nasty look from the server. we were there for two hours and had ordered a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board. I can even tell you my favorite region thanks to accent's diverse tastings and knowledgeable sommeliers. That's one of the best/only things to do in Summerville, so fair warning, it draws a huge crowd. I think any other nights besides Tuesdays and third Thursday's, you can find seating easily.
