Every three months is when I get my haircut and Shear Synergy Salon is where I like to go but specifically to Anita. Lovely Anita who does the most amazing head massage while she shampoos you that makes your toes curl while sending you into a slight orbital coma onto another galaxy and into another time. Situated in the east side of the Dragon City Mall in the heart of pulsating Chinatown, Shear Synergy Salon is the place I go to get beautified. I usually will whet my haircut time with a dim sun lunch at the Regency Restaurant and then top it off with a delicious bubble tea. Shear Synergy is so conveniently situated too, I simply have to take the number 3 bus a block from my home and I land smack dab in front of the Dragon City Mall. My haircut lasts usually anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes for a mere 30 dollars and I believe Shear Synergy has 3 stylists to choose from, I am a loyal client however to Anita who simply understands Asian hair, when leaving other hair salons in the past I am usually very dissatisfied with my haircut simply because they don't understand the properties of Asian hair and its temperament and I usually end up walking away looking like my uncle. But Anita does it just right, she's hip to popular Japanese hairdos and has a knack for the anime. So if you want a stylish trim or an all out make-over try Shear Synergy Salon.

The first two visits were with Cassie, who is their junior stylist. Sweet girl, good stylist, room to grow :) I had my third appointment scheduled with Cassie for Sat April 21st at 10 am. Due to a scheduling conflict (I was climbing the bow building downtown for charity), I had to reschedule to 1 pm. As she wasn't available, I said I would be happy to take an appointment with whomever was available. Cassie promptly called to say she had a 3:15 available, which just didn't work with the rest of my days schedule. Thought that was perfectly acceptable. When I came in at 1, I brightly smiled at Cassie and said hello. The response was abrupt, and she wouldn't look at me. The stylist that did my hair Chrissy, snapped at me while I was trying to explain what I wanted done. She continued to speak highly of Cassie while being a tad unpleasant throughout the appointment. Wow. All over a rescheduled appointment. I was going to go back to Cassie for further appointments as I thought well of her personally and professionally, but feel that your salon doesn't deserve my $60 every 4-6 weeks. Best of luck.

I was for a few hours so I saw quite a few people filter in and out and all of them were regulars. the atmosphere was so welcoming, and in the end my hair was exactly how I wanted, and felt even healthier than before. My hairdresser Cassie, was so nice to me and told me everything she was doing to fix my hair to make sure I was comfortable with it. She was so nice and it was definitely a breath of fresh air to go to such a nice salon where they care about you hair and it's needs.

I said it hurts, but she ignored me and kept grabbing on to my hair and pulling it...I was in shock at how this behavior seems ok by them... Back home now and my scalp is still red and my head hurts.
