The office floor was so dirty from previous days I doubt it has been mopped or swept all week. You would think a health clinic would smell sterilized and clean. The manager here named JENNIFER is so very unprofessional. She doesn't treat her employees with respect, empathy, or consideration which is such poor behavior from a manager let alone a "professional" in the healthcare field. This business needs a better management because some employees are REQUIRED to do others work with no acknowledgment, no raise, and no thanks. I took my partner here for urgent care when she was having difficult, very painful breathing due to an unknown source. She was treated very rudely and roughly by the tech who took vitals and a chest image, when she was so weak she had difficulty just walking and standing. Ultimately, she was advised to go to an ER. Her exit paperwork said she was offered an ambulance which she "refused". This place actually LIED on that paperwork. SHE WAS NEVER OFFERED AN AMBULANCE! Had one been offered, she would have accepted that offer! We ended up driving to an ER where she received competent, compassionate care and her lungs are now improving. I booked a Appointment for my daughter who was having eye issues on Sunday April 30th 2023. The 1st appointment we had was telemedicine and over the phone. The Dr. named Patsy was rude and would never meet with us because she couldn't figure out how to process the insurance. Then we went into the clinic and ran into the same problem. While the staff was decent, they didn't know what or how to run insurance. I actually found them on my TriCare/ Humana app. I know 100% that they take our insurance. I called the insurance company on May 1st Monday and ask them about this company, they said they couldn't understand why they had issues but they have be informed about Access Medical having issues in the past not knowing how to use TriCare. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place for that reason alone. But another reason is the bad customer service throughout this process. They wouldn't even listen to me as I was trying to help them. Also, my daughter had eye issues. Her eye was red and leaking and they wanted to run multiple costly tests that weren't related to her eye issues. I left and took my daughter to a Integris community hospital and they took one look at her and said she has pink eye. They didn't do any extra tests like Access wanted to do and has zero issues running and processing our insurance. We were in and out with great customer service with Integris. While I will never be back to Access Medical, I will continue to support Integris. If you're Military and have TriCare don't go to Access Medical. read more

Amazing!!! Awesome!!! Astounding!!! I can't say enough great things about this clinic. I took my son there for the first time after visiting Mercy convenient care and being told it would be a LONGGGGG wait. We left, called his primary doctor & were told they couldn't see him in the next 24 hours. With the threat of strep throat, we decided to try Access for the first time. We were NOT disappointed. Evenbei g first time patients, we were taken back quickly for vitals, and they went ahead and swabbed his throat to check for strep so that it was checked while we waited for the doctor. The wait for the doctor to come in was a little long, but he confirmed it was strep and did a short workup to ensure there wasn't anything else going on. We were pretty much impressed with everything happening at this clinic and will definitely choose it over the Mercy clinic on NW Expressway (west of Council) for future needs. read more

I preregistered online. Because there was no transparency with prices and I thought it would be cheaper to pay cash pay as I only wanted a COVID test. Their website said rapid testing and although I knew the antibody test was less accurate it would give me peace of mind before being around family on the weekend. I called on my way to ensure cash pay would be cheaper and was told to call my insurance. I called my insurance that said I'd have a small copay plus the cost of the test if it was antibody and free if PCR. When I arrived early as directed on the website, I had to repeat all my information because they have "2 systems". I then had to wait for a nurse to call and get my symptoms. No one collected my insurance card info. I was told to drive around to the side and wait to be tested. I did and waited another 10 min where I was asked to repeat my symptoms yet again and then was swabbed for flu and Covid. I was told I could wait 15 min for the flu results but explained I had a phone meeting and zoom meeting coming up and had to start heading home and could I please be called with the results. I was told yes. I explained the insurance scenario and instead of taking my card before I left, I was asked to call with the info. I called the clinic 3 times before getting a generic number who reluctantly took my info down. I still don't know if they charged my insurance or credit card. I called the next day for my flu results and was told it would take 4-5 days. I said "not when she told me 15 min". He said well I don't know what to tell you when that's what the computer says. He said I will have a provider call you. I said "you all were already supposed to call me and that never happened, so can I speak to someone now?" and he said no. I said "so if someone doesn't call then what do I do, call again?" He said, "I guess so." So sure enough no one called and I still don't know my results. Whole process took an entire hour, which isn't horrible, but I expect price transparency, more efficiency, and above all honesty. These are MY medical records! Update: no one called that next day so i called and they said someone would call. No one called the third day either. Finally I found out my flu was negative but the COVID test that was being quoted as 2-5 days has now been 8 and no results yet. I did find out that they did charge my insurance Update 2: 13 days later no results so so called. Before going to urgent care on the 21st I called my insurance to to verify my benefits and I was told that the PCR test would be paid for but that the rapid screen would not. Today, the fifth call to the urgent care, they told me that they needed me to go to Labcorp and get retested and that they would do the rapid screen. I explained that I am not going to do the rapid screen because it is less reliable and I refuse to go back and I would like a refund as they charged me for the COVID test and I never received any results. They refused to transfer me to their billing department and said I would need to call the lab. She stated "I refuse to argue with you" and she hung up on me. What is my recourse? read more

My daughter went in for a very sore throat and exhaustion. She was given a prescription for "magic mouthwash." They didn't call it in. A paper prescription. So now we are on the hunt to find a pharmacy to fill it. Guess what. No one in the OKC metro is a compound pharmacy that we could find. One pharmacy said had access just prescribed another kind, they could have filled it. I tried calling back the next day. You can't actually talk to the urgent care you went to. Their "customer service" would talk to me because I'm not the patient and wouldn't allow me to add my daughter to the call so they could speak to her. I will never again go here. With our co-pay, we got nothing but to go on a wild goose chase. I feel like the clinic should know that there is no one to fill this prescription. And by the way, literally a paper prescription and sent us out the door. Good luck! Wish I could give it zero stars. read more

I get it, Covid has created mass hysteria and an incredible demand. But this place makes it absolutely ridiculous. No appt needed, you can "walk in" signs on the door say call the number to make an apt though. Their online system tells you which number you are in line with a wait time for walk-in and appt holders. The nurse tells you the wait time means nothing. So then you wait outside because there are no further directions then you wait until they call you to get triage information. They tell you to wait in your car because the line that has formed outside means nothing. So then you wait until two medical workers come out and use the same gloves on everyone. One checks your temperature and the other swabs your throat. You don't get to double check your name or information on the swab like they do when you get blood drawn. You haven't signed any paperwork, they haven't told you the cost, they tell you results will come back in a couple days. Off you go. They haven't gotten your address or copy of your drivers license- nothing normal places do. Called back after no results for a week and they say 7-10 days. Not what they told you when you took the test! 10+ days later still nothing. Other places are getting results back in 1-4 days. What broken down 1 man lab is this place using? Overall I'm pretty impressed with this place. My one year-old ended up having pinkeye and a respiratory infection. I called our regular pediatrician that morning and their offices were closed for the remainder of the week. Not knowing where to go, i discover this place is in network as it's affiliated with integris hospital. Little tip you can make an appointment and check in online which will put you a priority before walk ins. The check in paperwork was only two pages easy. Our entire trip there was about an hour and a half. Their waiting area and entire facility is super clean which i always notice in places like these. They even had complimentary bottle water for patients. The staff of doctors and nurses could have been a bit more talkative and personable as they weren't the most friendly. It did take a while for the doctor to come back after diagnosis and his entire diagnosis wasn't that descriptive he was very brief and short. Overall, if you need an antibiotic or just want a simple flu or strep test done this is an easy place to do so. read more

The clinic provided by my work is closed on the weekends and on Sunday morning, after i had been running a fever since the morning before, I decided to find a doctor to see. The staff here was pleasant. The RNA and PA were both nice. The wait was a little longer than I liked, to get in, to see the PA, to get the shot, to get the paperwork, to leaving. There was a significant amount of wait time in between each of those I just listed. I was sick and feverish, pouty and achy...so needless to say, the wait may have seemed like torture to me. Overall, I would go again if needed. Hopefully that won't be needed anytime soon. read more

This place is a completely unprofessional. Trying to get a rapid covid test done in order to travel to a state that requires it. They told me they would be available at 2:30 pm the first day I went, I call when I arrived at 2:45 pm and they said they were all done doing rapid tests for the day. Next I call to check in, after being on hold for over an hour I was hung up on. Upon calling back I tried to ask the person answering a question she cut me off and with a wildly unprofessional attitude says "you're going to the back of the line". I've had to go to this location twice now for COVID-19 testing and both times was terrible. I understand delays, hold times, and that they're trying to get as many people in as possible and thats not why im giving a one star review. Im giving a one star review because of the lack of communication. Ive called the number on google and apple maps to get information and its not the number for the actual location, its the number for their customer service. When i asked to be transferred to that location they tell me they're unable to transfer me to a specific location. I ask if they have any rapid tests and if I could get one tomorrow (Saturday 8/08/20) and they told me yes to both. I show up Saturday morning at 8am, call the number on the door, and they tell me they don't do rapid testing on the weekends and I could take a standard test that takes up to 14 business days, or wait until Monday. The first time I went, a few months prior, they were out of rapid tests that Monday, but they said they were expecting a shipment and it would arrive the next day, Tuesday, before noon. We called every hour (like they had instructed us to do) to see if the tests had arrived. At about our 6th call and 3pm on Tuesday they said they had no idea where the shipment was and they would get them the next day, Wednesday, before noon and to call. Same exact thing on Wednesday. We ended up taking the longer test. We got the test results back the A week and a half later on a Friday. When they called they weren't able to give me any information over the phone (understandable) they told me I could pick it up before they close. It didn't look like i was going to be able to get there in time so i called the number and got ahold of someone in customer service. I asked if it was possible to email the results. They told me "absolutely" and that they would contact the location and get it sent. A day and a half later and many inbox refreshes later, i went ahead and called the location (my girlfriend had their direct locations number saved) and they told me they couldn't email it and that i had to pick it up. Me picking it up didn't bother me. Getting told multiple different things is what ticks me off. I really hope nobody has to go her for an actual medical emergency. Remember... I was having COVID symptoms, so I thought this would be an easy way to get tested. I called like they say to online, since I didn't want to infect anyone and there were no appointments on their site for the next few days. I waited 30 min on hold, then decided since I live 24 minutes away to start driving while continuing to hold. Once I got there, there were signs on the building saying not to come in and to call the number I was already on hold for. I went to a clinic for a sinus infection. Because of the headache and 99 fever associated with it, they sent me for a Covid test. I get it. I'm cautious. HOWEVER, I had my test on July 5 and it is now July 16 and I still don't have results and can't get treated anywhere until results are in. What the heck?!! read more

Would not recommend! Extremely disappointed. We made an appointment but still had to wait over an hour and a half & had to stand outside in the 90 degree heat instead of waiting in our vehicle. We were told they had rapid COVID19 tests & everyone ahead were told they would get same day results (whether they had an appointment or not), they gave my husband the test, asked no questions & said he'd be notified if results in 5 days. As far as Access goes, this one is actually super nice. I've been to some crummy locations but this one is the best by far. Everyone is super friendly and they usually get you in and out pretty quickly. The only reason I might not frequent them as often is due to my copay, but that is no fault of theirs. Terrible customer service. I called before I went to make sure they were taking walk-ins because the last time I tried to go there it was appointment only. The receptionist on the phone assured me they were. When I walked in, the waiting room was empty, but the receptionist was so distracted by her cell phone that she didn't even notice me. She was very rude and told me that they were appointment only. I explained to her that I made sure that I had called to verify that they were taking walk-ins and they told me they were, she said that the call center is in Arizona and she didn't know why they keep telling people that. I explained that I had driven out of my way and arranged my schedule so that I could go there right then and I wouldn't be able to come back but she didn't seem to care at all. People in the healthcare field have it rough right now, I get that, I'm a nurse, but you still have to treat people with kindness and not like they're a nuisance and interrupting your cell phone time! And access urgent care, please, for the love of god, get your shit together so that you're all on the same page on whether or not urgent medical situations need to be scheduled! Not for me, I'll be going elsewhere from now on, but I wouldn't want someone else being turned away unnecessarily. read more

I have used this urgent care a hand full of times and normally I am very pleased. However, I came in two weeks ago due to a swollen throat that made it difficult to swallow. They ran a strep test on me, and it came back negative. To be fair the test for strep throat is not always going be accurate. My test came back negative, instead of running any further test or mentioning an alternative, the provider told me that test was negative but they knew I had strep. With this news, they sent a prescription for amoxicillin over to the pharmacy. Four days go by with taking the amoxicillin, but my body did not show signs of getting better. In fact, my body was doing the opposite of getting better, I began to get itchy hives/rash. I went to the urgent care again thinking maybe I was allergic to the amoxicillin. The provider saw and inspected my rash and said it must be a allergic reaction. They gave me a steroid shot and sent me on my way. The next morning I woke up looking and feeling worse than the prior day. I called the urgent care three times before getting through to speak with anyone and when I finally did they said they couldn't do anything more for me. In conclusion, I went to see a friend who works in the Baptist hospital's ER. I have mono, which is a viral infection because they gave amoxicillin which is for a bacterial infection the mono reacted to the amoxicillin. Leaving me with a swollen, itchy rash from head to toe. read more

I should've been treated for this 2 days ago. Horrible experience with uncaring staffs. I booked an on line appointment and arrived early. Spent over an hour trying to follow the on-line instructions which said to remain in my car. Finally got out of my car and was told to get back in my car and keep calling. Another hour goes by, I go to the front door and knock. A rude denial opens the door and say your supposed to stay in your car, I attempt to tell her I've been calling for 2 hours now and just keep putting on hold. She responds are you calling the right number, I showed her the print out And she told me "yeah we not using that number we posted a different number" The note on the front door is typed in regular size typing!! No one could read it that from their car. Then she tells me they are not honoring the on-line appointments, even thought they sent me a text telling me I was 15 mins late for checking in.
