They didn't drag their feet or good off, so they could try to get extra money! As a military family, we've worked with many moving companies over the years, and this was one of the worst experiences we've had. The packing was disorganized, items were packed carelessly, and several belongings were damaged during the move. Most upsetting was that the movers broke my baby's dresser, which doubles as her changing table, leaving us without a changing station. They attempted a quick repair with wood glue, but the piece remains damaged. We also discovered broken artwork that had not been properly wrapped or protected. The damage wasn't limited to our belongings. We moved into a brand-new home, and the movers left dents, drywall damage, scuffs, and markings on walls, stairways, and door frames. They also left cigarette butts, pop bottles, and other trash on the property. After the move, I contacted the company, provided photos, and completed the claim form they sent me. Since then, I have been completely ghosted. Despite the extent of the damage, no one has taken accountability, offered a meaningful resolution, or even apologized for breaking our belongings--including our baby's changing table. Mistakes happen. What separates a good company from a bad one is how they handle those mistakes. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and customer service after the fact has been just as disappointing as the move itself. I cannot recommend this company based on our experience.

Had to rent a van for moving my daughters to their new place and this was a nice close option if…read moreyou live in or near Dearborn. First the positives. The van was newer, clean, tires new, it had about half a tank of gas, and the place was close. Now for the possible improvements for this location and U-Haul. I had to rent through the U- Haul app because there is no employee working that location on a Saturday. The app was fairly easy to use and managed but it puts all of the work on the customer. First, we did have a little issue getting the key out of the lock box because of the way it was placed and the door would not open properly (lucky my wife was with me and she was able to get it out with her small hands). Next, you have to take pictures of the entire vehicle to make sure that there are no issues or damages which took us about an extra 15 minutes to complete and go over the vehicle. One other thing that you need to be aware of is cost. U-Haul tacks on some other fees like the "environmental fee" that basically you pay to help keep their fleet of vehicles more efficient, and a recovery fee for whatever reason. This I believe is so that they can keep their advertised rental cost low. I do believe that U-Haul should actually offer a discount for those people who do this total rental process through the app because the customer is truly doing all the work. Lastly, I cannot comment on the location itself in terms of employees or the store itself because as I mentioned earlier the location was closed and no employees were present.

It was off about 30 miles, not to my advantage. I did'nt catch it until I left the storage unit. I called as soon as I caught it on Saturday morning. I was told to take a picture of the speedometer and it will be corrected on Monday morning. When I called Monday morning to let the staff know, who was Tory, I was a little upset, but I did not cuss or raise my voice. She decided that I was an irate customer and she was not going to let me get in her space and she would not talk to me any further. She was explaining to me the policy about checking the truck out before I left to see if it was OK. I really did not have time to do that in the parking lot before I left. I told her I had calmed down, however, she still refused to talk to me and hung up on me. I called back and she let it go to another location, I have been at this facility for 12 years renting trucks and storage space, I have never had any trouble. Good Customer service is rare. At this point I am trying to find the regional or area manager to make a complaint. They did correct the problem, but there was no reason for her to hang up on me.

I was able to get a pull threw for it but it really doesn't matter if its a back-in or pull through for me In order to get you a spot where you need first and last months rent and pay for 1 month, say if you just want 1-month rent @ $50 you need to bring $150, I'm sure he does this cause people have burned him in rent and I would too or you can pay for 1 year and get 1 or 2 months free.
