I urge you to carefully consider this before contracting with any hospice provider. Unfortunately, our experience with Faith & Hope made an already painful situation even harder. In April 2025, my mom suffered a massive stroke. She was placed under Continuous Care (CC), which meant she required critical, around-the-clock nursing support. We were told her case would be re-evaluated after three days. However, the care was stopped in less than 24 hours and we were given only 4 hours' notice that services would be discontinued. At that point, it was clear our needs no longer aligned with Faith & Hope's philosophy of care. We scrambled to hire private help on extremely short notice. That night, my mom was in significant pain & experienced agitation. She needed her medication adjusted and an increase of the dosage frequency to help manage her symptoms. The next day, we made final attempts to Faith & Hope to reassess mom's eligibility for CC, even though the on-call night nurse, when we asked, did acknowledge that we were free to seek another hospice provider. We waited all day for a response from Faith & Hope, but heard nothing. Faced with another evening without adequate care, we transferred my mom to a different hospice. They gave us the right care without hesitation. Sadly, our mom passed away only 4 days later. The only positive experience we had with Faith & Hope was with Nurse Theresa. She cared for my mom with compassion, dedication and a true commitment to patient advocacy. Theresa's thoughtfulness and support helped guide my brothers and me through an incredibly challenging time, and for that we are deeply grateful.

As soon as we decided to switch to hospice care, we've been in touch with a few places but Maximum Care Hospice felt most transparent and comprehensive. Other places were a bit unclear about who is coming from where and what exactly is being provided with hospice care. Switching to hospice care was a difficult decision, but we are so happy to have chosen Maximum Care. We had a wonderful nurse Victoria. It was a short seven days but she provided all the support that we needed. There was no judgement whatsoever (my father was difficult) and she was very respectful and kind. We had a somewhat unusual circumstance, where the police had to be in touch with them (due to my father's passing as a result of a crime), but they handled it all very graciously. Equipment delivery and pickup was excellent. They are contracted with a place called St Joseph's and every staff from there was respectful and friendly. We also had a wonderful woman come to bathe my father before he passed away She was very thorough and efficient. I believe she isn't an employee but someone who is contracted to provide personal care to several hospices, but she had told me that she tries to take every job requested by Maximum Care because they treat her very well. When my father passed, Victoria came immediately and connected us with their recommended mortuary. My cousin, who is experienced with contacting mortuaries at her church community, was very impressed how seamless and "easy" Maximum Care made the process. Thank you again, and I will forever recommend Maximum Care Hospice to anyone who needs hospice care providers.

During my father's…read morestay, we experienced several serious issues that raised major concerns about both safety and overall quality of care. There was an AC intake connected outside of his room that pulled in cigarette smoke from a not designated outdoor smoking area. No patient--especially someone in a vulnerable condition--should be exposed to that. We reported this several times. More concerning, my father fell out of bed and had to call me himself. I then had to contact the facility to notify them, even though he was under their direct care at the time. This happened more than once. That level of oversight is unacceptable and deeply troubling. I was on FaceTime with him a handful of times and overhead the lack of bedside care from the staff. Walking through the facility, it's clear there are too many patients and not enough staff to properly care for them. The environment reflects that imbalance. If I could do it over again, I would have taken my family member out of state before choosing this place. I strongly encourage others to read reviews across multiple platforms before making a decision. It's unfortunate that this is considered a rehabilitation or medical facility. Patients and families deserve far better.

The last thing families need during these difficult stressful times is added stress from terrible cavalier, and lacking service. They refuse to accept their horrible mistake which is the TRUTH. I did NOT have a problem with mom getting discharge I am very thankful for it as I am thankful she transitioned from hospice to home health, I did have a major problem with their disgusting discharge procedures, their refusal to take responsibility for the wrong information Maria gave me would affect my elderly mom's well being. My mother's discharge was atrocious and very poorly handled, yes she was given a 2 week supplies and equipment after discharge however this does NOT excuse them for the terrible treatment the last day. I would even consider it inhumane. 2 days before the medical equipment was supposed to be picked up a nurse named Maria informed me that NO date was actually set for moms medical equipment to be picked up. (Wrong information) 48 hrs. later and about 1 hour before mom's bed time a receptionist by the name of Samantha informs me by telephone that law enforcement would be called out if I did not surrender the hospital bed, I was shocked and panicked and in utter disbelief. Yes I elevated my voice I was outraged for the handling of their mistake and the misinformation they gave me and to be told the police would be called out if mom did not surrender the hospital bed. I had to call public health to investigate their terrible discharge practices, ** the investigator advised me on 2/16/2024 to share my experience so others would be made aware of my experience. They did NOT care when I informed them that mom would be sleeping on the floor because of their terrible mistake, the case manager named Vera korkanovic declined to speak to me to defuse this matter, or to find a resolution. The owner Tali Fayfel refused to speak to me as well. She later calls screaming at me. The receptionist screamed at me talked over me and repeatedly told me moms hospital bed was going to be picked up that evening no matter what! In panic and in the evening hours I began taking out some medical equipment outside, I had no idea how mom's health would be affected sleeping on the floor that night. ****The only nurse that stood out from everyone was a nurse named DAMARIS she was consistently caring, professional, and patient. ** I did email hospice to let them know I would be sharing this horrible experience so other families would not have to go through this. Sorry if you view this as threatening. * Social worker did not return calls/ text messages for days. * Case manager refused to take my calls a number of times when I needed guidance for discharge. Forever Grateful to Healing Care Hospice for the Care They Gave My Dad…read more I don't even know where to begin in expressing the depth of my gratitude for Healing Care Hospice and their incredible team. When my dad's health began to decline and we were told it was time for hospice, my family was heartbroken and scared. We didn't know what to expect, and we wanted to make sure he would be surrounded by love, comfort, and dignity. From the very first moment Healing Care Hospice stepped in, we felt an enormous sense of peace. The nurses who cared for my dad were absolute angels. They treated him like he was their own family -- always gentle, patient, and respectful. They explained everything to us with compassion and honesty, making sure we understood what was happening every step of the way. It never felt rushed or routine; it felt deeply personal. Even during the hardest moments, their calm presence and kindness made such a difference. The aides and caregivers were just as amazing. They made sure my dad was clean, comfortable, and pain-free. They noticed the little things -- fixing his blanket, massaging his hands, talking softly to him when he couldn't respond -- small gestures that spoke volumes about their compassion. The social worker and chaplain also brought so much comfort, not just to my dad but to our entire family. They gave us emotional support, listened when we needed to talk, and helped us process everything we were feeling. It meant the world to have people who didn't just focus on medical care but truly cared for the human and spiritual side of what we were going through. One thing that stood out was the way the team communicated. They were always available -- day or night -- and made sure we never felt alone. Whether it was a question about medication, a sudden change in my dad's condition, or just needing reassurance, someone was always there to help with warmth and patience. When my dad passed, the hospice team was with us, guiding us gently through those final moments with compassion and respect. They handled everything with such grace, giving us space to say goodbye in peace. Even after, they checked in on us to see how we were doing, which meant so much. I can honestly say Healing Care Hospice helped my dad transition with comfort and dignity, and helped our family find peace in an incredibly painful time. They weren't just caregivers -- they became part of our family during those last weeks. To everyone at Healing Care Hospice: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made an unbearable time a little easier, and you gave my dad the care and love he deserved. We will never forget what you did for us. If anyone reading this is searching for hospice care for a loved one, I can say with complete confidence that Healing Care Hospice is the kind of team you want by your side. They bring heart, compassion, and genuine humanity to every moment.
