Isn't elaborating on your health issues exactly the point of the intake during a first appointment?? Isn't that her job to find this out, during our limited one hour, $400 dollar consult? Ghandi came off like a machine, very fast (too much coffee!?), cold, seemed totally lacking empathy (arguably the most important quality in a doctor), and proceeded to overwhelm me with about a dozen handouts, (without adequately and clearly explaining them!) touting products/treatments/therapies for my health issues that ran into hundreds of dollars right off the bat, that naturally, they sell or provide in the office. It was only then that she ordered a comprehensive lab panel to be done at Quest. And I felt like the minute I told her I needed to be ''budget conscious, she she was became even more bitchy and dismissive, as if ok, 'this patient doesn't have deep pockets, and can't afford us, so buh-bye.' The whole visit seemed incredibly impersonal, and I left feeling wham- bam- thank- you ma'amed, overwhelmed, and not feeling at all confident about getting my health issues being helped by her anytime soon. Got the distinct impression this clinic is set up to make money for whomever owns it. Positioned just over the bridge from Palm Beach, it would seem only those "on the Island" could hope to afford the exorbitant fees, supplements and treatments they purvey. Are they getting to the root cause for any of their patients? I don't know, but you WILL spend A LOT of money from the get-go if you follow these doctors' seemingly impersonal, fomulaic one- size- fits -all advice. $800 for a doctor to merely order tests and then sell you their formulas seems like a rip off, no?

Once I went to a real functional medicine Dr they discovered what the cause of all of my health issues was in one visit. I really enjoyed seeing Dr Singh, unfortunately she prescribed me a new medication at every visit. Prozac, Wellbutrin, adderall, Xanax, etc. A functional medicine Dr does not polydrug their patient to mask their symptoms. Then came my 4 year long journey of withdrawal due to Dr Singh abruptly taking me off all the antidepressants she had me on. She has done this to 2 other people that I know personally, and they have suffered equally as much as me as a result. When I realized that I was in withdrawal, her only response to me was "want me to send you another prescription for Prozac?" I stayed off all the meds and finally made out of the withdrawal hell, battled severe withdrawal symptoms including depression, suicidal ideation, panic attacks and horrific akathisia just to share a few and I now feel strong and amazing and I am returning to warn others and perhaps educate the Dr herself of the damages that overprescribing can cause. I think Dr Singh has good intentions and I really loved the aspire health model. I suffered so much from the effects of her negligence that I would feel terrible not speaking out.

I realized most of what I was reading was either contradictory or unrealistic and I needed someone to help me. She definitely was the right choice. First, she demystified my metabolism by putting me through a painless 10 min breathing test-- yielding a report that broke down exactly how many calories I should eat in a day across a range of scenarios. Next, she took that along with some other biometrics, health history, self-reported exercise and eating patterns and preferences and went to work. She came up with some excellent recommendations for me to get the most energy, stamina, balance and joy out of my day.
