Found Chris via Yelp while I was out getting bids on repairing the deck lid on our 2017 blue Ioniq. Clear coat had bubbled off in areas and the paint had begun fading. Sent Chris photos of the affected area and he called me back promptly. His bid was 20% under my body shop quotes and he was able to do it the following day. He and his Silverado showed up ready to roll at 9 AM and he was done by 12:15. Taped everything off, hand sanded, mixed the paint (auto paint is shockingly expensive), and applied several coats followed by four clear coats. Came out great. If you are looking for someone who works weekends, look somewhere else. I asked to schedule a weekend appointment and he said he could come to my work instead during the week. Said yes, trying to be accommodating. 2 hours after my appointment time, I reach out telling him we need to reschedule. No communication from him that he was running late. On the phone later he tells me "I'll reschedule, anytime & anyplace". We unfortunately had to reschedule my Sat. am appt due to weather (not his fault) but when I suggested some dates he just shuts it down with no alternative availability, just pushing to meet at my work again, which I decided against due to working at a professional office where they probably don't want someone working on a car in the parking lot. About a month ago, I contacted Chris Accu car paint to touch up a bumper that had minor damage to it. Just to preface, I come from a car industry where I spent 20 years in the service department. so I would say I have expertise in the area. I was going to take my car to the body shop that offered the same price, but I thought I'd allow Chris to take care of the small damaged area on the bumper for the same price of $375. Primarily due to convenience. Anyway, he came out. He sold me on doing a larger area so it will not be as evident that the repair took place. I agreed to that. I made it clear upfront, since this is an expensive vehicle, that I do not want to see any orange peel or texture that does not match the original when completed. However it was immediately evident that the bumper looked worse now than before. as the whole area that was painted now, had really bad orange peel, and heavily textured. Look at the pictures yourself. Following, I gave him two opportunities to correct the problem. However, in both cases, it looked awful. I personally would never recommend this guy to anybody that I liked. In the industry, we call people like this hacks. read more
