I called Fix Auto Carlsbad to get a second opinion about how another collision business was handling my incident. I needed to know what might happen with the insurance company's actions and our options going forward. When I called, I realized that speaking with Griselda was different. I could tell that she actually cared about my situation and talked me through a few options and even invited me to stop by the shop with the car. Once there, Dylan explained what most likely would happen and how to counter the insurance company so that we get an amicable solution. Both of these employees took time out of their day to assist us with our situation, despite not being a customer of Fix Auto. I was in a hit and run incident with a jerk on a motorcycle on 6/18. He either hit or punched my passenger side mirror, completely pulverizing it. Mirror and mirror cap shattered. As stressful as the accident was, the next step was equally dreaded. Finding a shop to fix it. Being a female, experiences with shops and workers can be stressful. It always has been in the past. Well, everyone at Fix Auto from the front desk to the mechanics and other staff were nothing but friendly and helpful. The work was done super fast (they had to order the mirror set and have the paint matched) and cost way less than I thought it would. Place sucks. They can't get any of your info correct and like to hide your car info if you have your spouse take a car in for you. The lady in the front is sensitive and you can't have an adult conversation with her cause she'll cry and call her manager. The manager is also cries to your insurance and lies on your name telling them you cussed at him for an obvious frustrated conversation. Everyone in that shop are a bunch of sensative cry baby adults. Yeah wouldn't recommend and I'm making a desperate instagram post on my profile. read more

I took my 2015 Audi here after someone side swiped it while it was parked on the street. They were very friendly when it came to setting up an appointment for an estimate, then setting up the appointment for the repair. The lady who worked at the front desk is extremely sweet, and friendly. They also really did handle my repair through my insurance with ease, I didn't have to do any follow up to make sure everything was handled correctly and my insurance got everything they needed which I appreciated. The work looks awesome. Overall I was happy with the final result, it looks like it never even happened. I'm giving them three stars even with my below complaints, since I am happy with the overall final product. However, my 1st complaint was they gave me one date (a Monday) it was supposed to be ready by, and they require you to give them advance notice if you will be even a day late to pick up your car, yet, they ended up calling me 3 days early (on Wednesday) saying my car was ready, which essentially ruined my out of town plans land I ended up having to cancel my plans due to their lack of communication and not giving any heads up. No one likes to have their week planned out and then have to rearrange your whole week because they couldn't give you notice, even a day's notice would have been appreciated, but I wasn't given any heads up, just called the day of at like 3 in the afternoon, I wasn't even given the courtesy of an early morning call to let me know. It just frustrates me because it's not like they didn't know it would be finished that day, it shouldn't' have been a surprise to them when it was done ya know? My 2nd complaint was I could tell they went through my car.. which left me with an uneasy feeling. We all know how we can sometimes leave personal things in our car, (thankfully I had gotten all of that kind of stuff out ahead of time) but literally everything in my car seemed to have been moved slightly or just put back in ways I wouldn't have left them, and this was all throughout my car like under my passenger seat, and in my door compartments, not just near where they should have been working, on the driver side front/side panel. I guess overall, my car looks perfect like it did prior so small trade off I guess, just maybe get anything out of your car, or at least be warned they may look through your entire car. read more

I was so impressed with Fix Auto Carlsbad. When my car needed body work I was able to get in the next day. When I dropped off the car they explained how the process works, and the steps needed to repair the car. When the car rental place was running late they drove me across town to pick up my rental car. A shout out to the front desk for being amazing, and to Alejandro. He was knowledgeable and very good at keeping me informed on the progress. My car was repaired in less than a week. I hope I don't need any more body work on my car, but if I do this is the place I'll return to. read more

Go here if you want a quick in and out and don't care if the paint matches the rest of your car. My fiancé brought her car here after someone hit her based on insurance recommendation. Clearly a shop that goes for volume and why you should get multiple quotes (any other shop is better). Once she brought her car home, I looked and saw very basic issues with their work. The hood nor lights were aligned, clear coat dripping and color simply didn't match... I was shocked they gave her the car back in that condition, I thought it looked better with the damage from the accident. I went with her the next day to show them. They didn't dispute what I saw, they tried to fix it on the spot and actually made it worse (scratching the bumper) and offered to keep the car / provide a rental to make it right. They called a few days later and said there's nothing else they can do and we need to take it up with insurance. Hours wasted. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves... go anywhere else. My high school shop class did better work. We've tried to work with them, their front desk is really nice. Seems like their ownership is only after screwing people over. read more

Blown away by the service at Fix AutoBody Carlsbad. Within one minute of seeing my car, Dylan, the manager, asked if I'd had a prior repair done to a specific section. Without any history of my vehicle, he immediately recognized the issue was related to a previous insurance repair at a different shop and suggested I go back to that shop to have it corrected. When insurance allowed me to get the repair done at Fix instead, Dylan worked directly with the adjuster to demonstrate proof of the bad repair and get the payment approved. He could have easily taken my money for the full repair. It would have been a lot less hassle on his end, and I was ready to pay. Instead, he went out of his way to help. The repair was done quickly, and there was clear, consistent communication throughout the process. That kind of honesty and customer care is rare. Dylan has earned a customer for life. I never really write reviews but i genuinely had a great experience and i feel really grateful for being able to get my car worked on by fix auto! My car had been hit and I was really stressed working with insurances and thinking I had to do a bunch of paperwork (this was my first accident ever ) or make calls but it was the most simple situation to deal with and fix auto took care of pretty much everything for me between contacting insurance, and quoting me, my rental car and even paperwork. My car was done 2 days early and they blessed me with fixing a spot that I did that was unrelated to my claim. I'm so impressed with the service and kindness of this shop! Thank you Angelo!! I was in a collision in where I was not at fault. I went through insurance and was able to win my claim. When getting everything coordinated they referred me to Fix Auto in Carlsbad Village. ( I live in Down Town San Diego) so for a minute there I almost went elsewhere, so glad I didn't! The people who I spoke to since the beginning to the end were all very, very helpful. I believe I spoke to Kyle 1st, he was very helpful and accommodated to schedule me with a date that would work and fit in between my work schedule. When finally the day came to drop off my Honda, the women at the front desk (didn't get her name, sorry) was also helpful and made everything an easy process, she also requested for the rental agency to come pick me up, didn't have to worry about that, she was on it! I was told it would take roughly about a week and 1/2 I dropped off my car on Monday the 16th and my car was fixed and ready by Wednesday the 25th of the following week but couldn't pick it up till Thursday because of my work schedule (remember I live in DT San Diego) so technically my car was fixed in exactly a week and 1/2 !! During the time my Honnd was in the shop I believe Craig or maybe it was Kyle (I specifically remember those 2 names lol) anyway, they called a few times and gave me updates regarding my car. That was very nice, when the car was ready for pick up, I believe Craig was the last person I spoke to (or maybe it was Kyle LOL!) he was super nice to let me know that if he had to stay after business hours because of my commute/traffic, he would! and would wait for me! Now that's some pretty freaking amazing customer service!! Glad I came here, they left my Honda spotless inside and out. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! I spoke to somebody who told me to bring the car in at 10 a.m. Thursday. This was one week from my original call. They turned me away and said they had no record of me. Although I have proof I spoke to somebody via my phone history, they would not take the car and said I would have to wait 3 more weeks. Instead of empathizing or trying to find a solution, the receptionist was intent on explaining how I was wrong. This is not how to handle customers. I do not recommend a business that cannot admit to a fault but rather insisted I was mistaken. I guess being busy means you do not have to make an effort. Wow. This is my first truly negative review but really, how can a business take that stance in today's economy? Awful. read more

This time around, Fix Auto was able to replace a headlight, bumper, repaint it all, and have my vehicle CLEANED (inside and out) and ready in 27 hours!!!!. (Dropped off at Thurs 2PM, picked up on Friday 4:30PM) Then as far as their communication and coordination with my auto insurance, it was a breeze. You would think USAA and Fix Auto were partners at how well everything fell in place... After a little incident where a pole jumped in front of my car while parking, I needed some body work done. I called several places and ended up going with Fix. They were always friendly on the phone and helpful when it came to explaining the process. I also received helpful texts keeping me updated on the work. I went through my insurance (USAA), but I would recomend them even if you have another provider. Once the work was done, they cleaned out my car making it look brand new, and I even got to leave my rental there. I can't recomend them enough! read more

My car had debris hit it on Mother's Day. It was scuffed up on the windshield, the hood, the mirror and more. I filed a claim and chose Fix Auto who had repaired my daughters car years ago. When I got to the shop they were friendly, and took a look at my car right away. The customer service agent, Kyle, took one look at the car and informed me that what I thought was damage was actually transfer and that it could be buffed out. Moreover, Kyle then proceeded to buff it out on the spot, first by hand and then with a buffing wheel. Not only was the car looking spectacular, he would not charge me for the service. Warning! Warning! Warning! Watch-out San Diego! Do not leave your vehicle here! Consumers beware! We were referred by friends. My son brought his brand new Tacoma here, our insurance was not responsible for repairs, the person who hit my son, their insurance was/is. After they accepted and started work on my sons Tacoma, they found additional work that needed to be done. Above and beyond the original contract. Repairs exceeded the original estimate. Under California Depart of Insurance Consumer Protection Agency subpart Laws and Regulations subpart: State Law Div. 33/Bureau of Auto Body Repair & Replacement Parts (BAR) -It's The auto repair shops responsibility to contact the insurance company to get the appropriate documents and signatures before they start work any additional repairs or maintenance to a consumers vehicle. Unbeknownst to us, we didn't know they didn't do that... We got a call from the secretary and said that truck was ready for pick up... Kevin the manager came out and said he could not take his truck until they got full payment, the rest of the payment from the insurance company. He explained that they had problems with slow pay from this particular insurance company... But that is not a consumers problem... but they are making it ours. We asked to speak to the regional manager, he had no couth either, disappointing. Fix Auto agreement to have their license obligates them to follow the law... Fix auto is not exempt because they don't like the insurance company! I am filing a complaint with the state of California Department of insurance/auto body repair shop report form. You can too: www.autorepair.ca.gov So, we learned from the insurance company agent, only just today Fix Auto submitted their paperwork to them! NOW it's going to be 3-5 days before they can get an insurance adjuster out... And the insurance adjuster has a greed to the additional work that needed to be done...And only then will the insurance pay only with an approval from the adjuster... And that will take weeks!!! FIX AUTO are not doing the right thing by the consumers!!! Watch out!! read more

If you have been referred to this shop by USAA Insurance, ask USAA for additional shops to consider. The service and communication here are flat out poor. My vehicle was damaged by an USAA policy holder, and USAA has Fix as one of their preferred providers (PP). I kept my appt on a Thursday AM for an eval and estimate per the protocol, and met the estimator - he took a few pictures, we discussed damage and the incident etc. He said he'd email me the estimate and send it to USAA. As of Monday afternoon the next week....crickets...absolute crickets from fix Auto - except for the nagging texts asking me to just bring my vehicle in for repairs...no one does that (nor should they) without prior positive experience with a collision repair shop. Neither USAA or the vehicle owner (me) has been contacted about the delay or with an estimate. I let USAA know the service here is poor, and I was re-assigned to a different shop (one hour phone process). If service and communication is this bad, there's no way I'm leaving my daily driver here for collision repairs. One never gets a second chance to make a good first impression huh? read more

The employee took pictures, wrote an estimate, and told him he would forward the information to fix Oceanside. I had an appointment for drop off 2 weeks later in Oceanside. When I arrived fix Oceanside informed me that they had NEVER received any information from Carlsbad. I immediately called Carlsbad the man that did my estimate informed me that there is no record of the estimate. I told him I have an email of the estimate that was sent to my insurance company. He double down on never having done an estimate. Long story short everybody at this company has come up with a lie after lie to pass the blame on to other people. They refused to accept responsibility that they never contacted the Oceanside location like they told me they would. They made up lies about taking parts from other orders to expedite my service. They made up lies about Oceanside calling me twice to get me to bring my car in earlier to order parts. Do not trust fix auto Carlsbad. I understand we are all humans and mistakes happen, I would be willing to let it go if they would apologize and except responsibility. However they refused to do so. Save yourself a headache and only go to fix Oceanside Their negligence is costing me hundreds of dollars in rental car fees which they refused to reimburse me for. read more
