We then went in to meet w the hearing aid specialist, Chris O. He was very kind & thorough in his exam. He answered MANY questions. He was patient & I could tell he truly cared about helping my mom be able to hear better. My mom did a 3 week trial but they just kept falling out of her ears bc they'd get caught in her hair. She was worried she'd lose hearing aids that cost thousands of dollars. It'd be like losing a small used car. Also, they were too sensitive to touch for her. We returned the hearing aids & D was so sweet! She didn't try to make my mom feel guilty for not purchasing them. She was wonderful! She explained each procedure, which left me feeling relaxed & assured. And PA Brandon Lang was amazing & extremely knowledgeable! He actually took the time to listen to "all" my concerns. He performed the procedure to correct my vertigo. He repeated the procedure several times to ensure I knew what/how to perform it myself. Afterwards, I mentioned how, at times my inner ears itched. There is no way that I would proceed with a procedure with a doctor who could not be bothered to meet with me on my very first visit! I spent 3 years searching for a problem with acid reflux and Dr. Edwards was the first doctor to set me on the path to discovering what was wrong. Also, the staff, particularly the office manager, Ms. Ramirez, helped me once when I had a problem with my insurance. My insurance refused to pay the exam fee after I paid the office visit, so she worked out a self-pay discount for me for the exam fee when I unexpectedly had to pay for the exam fee. Everything was explained to my understanding of why something was happening and gave me reasoning to the prices and the benefits of the product. As for the hearing protection themselves, they have been working great. I work around fighter jets and the noise the produce requires double ear protection. the custom inserts fill that role and are more comfortable than anything else when I have my ear muffs on as well. They also go in and out of my ear with ease and are strong enough to block the noise for equipment that simulates some aspects of the jet engine which is plenty loud enough. I haven't tried them while shooting but I'm guessing they will do fine.
