The bid came back totaling more than 15% LOWER than the bid from the bay area company. We signed a contract, and the installation process was unbelievably smooth, they took care of everything from start to finish. The installation crews we're professional, knowledgeable, considerate and friendly. They have the highest qualified electricians working for them, ensuring only the best for their clients. Always checking with us and explaining any concerns that we had. So, I started a fire and the room and house smelled like smoke. I couldn't see an obvious place that smoke was leaking. I called and spoke to the manager who came right over and evaluated it and thought it all looked fine and that maybe it all escaped when I built the fire. ..Well, that night it was horrible. I couldn't see clearly - I opened the door and smelled "camp fire" - One thing all of you should do it purchase a carbon monoxide indicator - I was afraid of the smoke and had been very sick the previous day so I ran to get monitors and they did show a tiny bit of gas but way below anything scary. That night I called and left a couple messages - obviously afraid and upset. The Owner came out driving all the way from Montgomery Creek! He climbed up and found the flu topper completely plugged (even though smoke was coming out). He climbed up and cleaned it then came in and cleaned the flu part in the house - (with some hot coals. He was great - the company stood behind their work and I appreciate that very much. When the two technicians came out, they looked at my system and ran some tests (15 minutes total) and then accidentally turned off my system. Unfortunately, my refrigerator turned off. I called the owner who was helpful and walked me through how to turn of the system back on. The owner suggested I buy a $100,000 new system. I can't afford that unfortunately. As a result, I received a bill for $500. When I called the office, they told me that it was for driving time for 2 technicians. I told the office that didn't seem right but that is their business practice.

We had various companies come to our home for presentations and quotes. We finally settled on Westhaven Power. We liked the fact that they had been in business for a long time and they oversaw the project from start to finish. Our system is working great. We have experienced four blackouts by PG&E, which didn't affect us since we have the battery backup. A company is only as good as it's staff. We had excellent people from Westhaven working on our project. I want to give kudos to all the people we interacted with: We had John who was our salesperson he was always there day and night to answer our questions and take care of problems. The team leader for installation was Jerry. He and his team did a great job. The final inspector was Jason. All are great representatives for Westhaven. I also want to give special Kudos to Grace who works in administration. She notified us at different points in the installation to let us know when things were going to be done. She was also our contact for warranty work.

They put holes in the ceilings and didn't patch them up, i had to.. The vents are uneven where they installed the inside filter looks so crappy my four-year-old could've done better. They actually used the breakers/fuse to my power outlets to my plugs in the house so half of my plugs in the house don't work anymore instead of putting in a different/larger breaker, Pg&e came out and flagged my gas because they hooked it up wrong , Pg&e had to come in and redo the whole gas line, never once did I get a call from Managment, bosses, nobody they will call and make me do my appointments because I prepaid for the service, and threaten me with voiding my warranty.. but actually getting customer service is nonexistent . Now that they have my money, it doesn't really matter to them. If I had the funds, I would 100% take them to court !!!! If you want to save yourself money and a headache do not use this company! As a single mom paying $16,000 for a new HVAC system and getting the crappies job done is heartbreaking. Unfortunately the loan is through a third-party so they got paid for their horrible job while I am paying out of pocket to fix their mess.

Management says 10+ people needed their air conditioner installed. Did they also have their appointment canceled the day before? Funny you say that is how you do business. When the inspector came out to inspect the system he stated that had he known you did the work before the permit went through he would've fined you for that. Lastly I recently found out that they disconnected my ceiling fan from the power source. And also that they lied to the inspector about how the system was powered. They said they hooked it into the existing power, which they said they couldn't because it was 110, and the system is 220. Reality is they hooked it up to the 220 that I had PAID an electrician to hook my dryer to install. So my dryer didn't kick off the breaker every time I used it with something else. I just figured that out when I was using the dryer and the mini split at the same time and the breaker tripped.

I would have given them a 5 star review if not for two disappointments given at the bottom…read more I went with Chico Solar Works because they could also replace the roof (Chico Roofing Company) and I was willing to pay a premium to have a single company to deal with if anything went wrong. Also, they have been around for quite a while, I knew a few people who had used them for solar and their prices weren't out of the ballpark. Once the installation began it went quickly and smoothly, taking only a couple of days for installation and PG&E approved the installation within a few days. Note that they also had to upgrade our breaker box to 200A and they did a great job of matching the adobe texture and paint color where they had to cut out for the larger box. There were two things that were a bit disappointing. One was that the monitoring app showed incorrect "Consumed" energy information. It was including the produced power so when the sun came up my Consumed power went up at the same time as the produced power from the panels went up. According to Enphase this is a rather common issue and yet it took a couple of weeks to get Chico Solar to recognize there was a problem, which included my talking to Enphase a couple of times. Even after it was agreed there was a problem it took another month to get the issue resolved. It was disappointing that the people who do the installations couldn't recognize there was an issue even when I described it to them. The second issue is that (at least) one of the panels has a scratch a couple of inches long. At least initially this is not going to be an issue but I suppose it could lead to early failure. I have not reported that to Chico Solar. I should also mention that all the installed equipment was as quoted except for the panels. The panels were from a different supplier and had an additional 10W output with nearly the same specs otherwise.

They owe me 12k the difference between the financed price vs the cash price since 2017 the one year anniversary of the system I got in March 2016 . * Because I thought the two sales guys where very knowledgeable and helpful , friendly. I told them to add $500 for them to split. Thus the financed price was to be 39,000 plus the $500 totaling $39,500 which I paid thinking I would get the cash difference once the Hero program informed them it was paid in full . The county refunded their Hero set up fees around $3000.00
