A trap was set and we had Bucky the groundhog the next day. Matt closed up the hole for us. When we heard it again a few days later, Matt came back. There was nothing, so we think Bucky's SO escaped for good. Matt is responsive, responsible, changed his schedule when I asked if he could come a day early and he got the critter. It was time to call a wildlife specialist. The positive reviews I was reading for Upstate Pest & Wildlife Control were convincing enough for me to call them. They were able to schedule a visit for the next day. Jake from UPW&C (no relation to Jake from State Farm) arrived on time and assessed the situation. He was friendly, very informative, and knowledgeable. The cost for the services he proposed and explained was reasonable. He was able to set traps that same day. Jake returned after a couple of days to check the traps. While the traps had not caught anything yet, and we hadn't heard critters any longer in the ceiling, he made modifications and adjustments to the traps and planned another visit the following day. Today, after assuring that there were no more squirrels in the soffits, and no new points of entry, he removed the traps and sealed the soffit hole. (Note: one trap did have part of a squirrel's tail.) I definitely recommend this family owned business if you have problems with wildlife pests.
