We have had them for several years and they always show up on time, spray with non-toxic chemicals, and the results speak for themselves... less insects. However, we recently discovered a bee problem and I gave them a call to see how much it would cost to take care of it. Surprise... it was covered under our plan! They came in less than a week and did whatever magic they do to get rid of the bees nest in our roof underhang sill. It isn't cheap, but I sleep better and night (and play better in the basement) knowing that there are a lot less creepy crawly things about. read more

A salesperson convinced us that for $5366 they would make my residence completely insect and rodent free. I went for it and agreed to have quarterly inspections. Because they were initially paid with a check, they would require the initial quarterly payment at that time on my credit card. I compiled so they would be automatic after each inspection. When the first quarterly inspection was made the inspector just walked around the house perimeter. He was going to leave without inspecting the attic, basement or garage. I had to ask him to do so. After checking my card,I discovered they had charged me for his inspection after paying for it at the time of initial service. The worst part is they would not drop the charge. I signed up for the best, most effective rodent proofing of my home about two years ago when a mouse ran over my foot. I had 3 different companies come in for estimates and review. Only Meerkat found a dead mouse and showed me selections and ideas for permanent rodent removal. It works. We had a small repeat problem but that proved to be our doing, not theirs. Called another establishment, and they gave me price on the phone, arrived next morning, and fixed problem in less than an hour, for what looks to be 50% less than what Meerkat and others charge The Meerkat person on the phone also sounded very upset with all the questions I asked, like she had something better to do than talk to potential customer. I checked Yelp reviews and found that Meerkat had a pretty good reputation so I reached out to them - through the Yelp contact link - expecting to have them contact me to make an appointment and quote a price. Much to my surprise I heard back from them - through Yelp - and a woman by the name of Jessica responded by telling me how I could deal with the issue myself vs. paying them to do it. I was blown away by her honesty! The valve was later removed and that area sealed. It's just a lot of money. Silicone sealant and a $30 bat valve (google 'thebatvalve') and a few hours of your time weighed against the ease of using Meerkat.... But when you discover bats, you are emotional and upset and may not research this stuff. Your call! read more

They came out, inspected and told us what needed to be done. To say the least, never had a problem again. I went on their maintence program and they come out every six months to service both my homes. Easy communication and great people to deal with. Never, ever had a problem with Meerkat. Been reading some of the reviews of people who were not satisfied and the only thing I can say is, "hey, things sometimes happen" and lack of communication or something but these guys are top notch. Whoever trains these people are doing the right job. They are all good! No need to even bother with anyone else. They know that reputation is everything and with today's "social media", word of mouth travels at super sonic speed. It will make you or break you. This wasn't the case..I got an email back in a half hour. AMAZING that they work on a Sunday. I emailed the lady and got a conformation that she'd send a guy over the next day after informing her what hours I was available. The guy John who came was professional and courteous. He did a thorough job in conducting an inspection of my home for ants. After we sat down and he informed me of the price, even though not highly priced, it just wasn't in my budget at the time. We recently had an issue with someone dumping their unwanted rooster and hen in our yard (we have our own chickens). We tried for a few days to catch them because we had someone who would have taken them but were unsuccessful. A woman called me back right away and, while they couldn't help, I appreciated the call back and she googled some things while we were on the phone (I had already exhausted that route) to see if she could give me other suggestions. I contacted Meerkat because I had a problem with a mouse. I was informed by the company that my service contract did not cover rodents so I would be charged $125 for the call. The company said that it would be sending someone who would be able to solve the problem quickly. When the serviceman arrived, all he brought were mouse traps which could be purchased at any hardware store. He placed them around the house and applied peanut butter on each of the traps. Then he told me to wait a few days for the traps to work. The service man told me that he would be back in a few days to remove the traps. He called Meerkat and the company told him that I would have to remove them myself. If Meerkat sent someone over it would charge an additional $ 125! I was surprised and annoyed. I couldn't believe the company was going to charge a total of $250 to a customer just for placing and removing a few traps. I could have just gone to a hardware store and bought the traps myself. I decided to remove the traps myself rather than incur an additional $125 charge I can't believe how much the company charged just to do a simple and routine job such as that! read more

We've had wasps/bees living in the soffits of our back porch for a couple of years now. Each year, I tried the spray can of 'wasp killer' from the store. While that helped for a day or two, the wasps kept on coming back. So this year I decided enough was enough, and I called Meerkat to come get rid of the wasps. Russ was the technician who showed up, and he did a great job. He explained that we had "paper wasps," and while they won't rebuild in the same nest each year, they were likely rebuilding a nest next to the old one. Either way, I wanted them gone. And I'm happy to say they're all gone now! In addition to the problem area on the porch, Russ treated the entire perimeter of our house, shed and mailbox...and he even moved our son's toys away from the house so they wouldn't get coated extra spray. Russ also noticed another paper wasp nest up along the roofline in another part of the house. He went the extra yard by climbing up on the roof and scraping away that nest. This was done several weeks ago, and I haven't seen any signs of paper wasps again. We'll use Meerkat again for sure if they return next year though! read more

The package includes cleaning up the bar droppings which is a huge relief being that Nat droppings carries so many hazards on its own not counting what bats can do to destroy a attic. Meerkat did a great job resolving the squirrel issue in my roof. These guys are true professionals -- I was very impressed by their customer service, the speed at which they responded to my initial call for help, and the thoroughness with which they did the job. They knew exactly what they were doing, and confidently and successfully eliminated the family of squirrels living in holes at the top of my steep roof. Lynn and Evan were the primary guys who did the job, and they were excellent, polite, extremely thorough in patching up all exposures in my roof (going above and beyond what I thought the job entailed), and were good at communicating their plan to me. I previously used a cheaper company to deal with the squirrel issue, but of course the squirrels returned and made the situation worse than ever.
