Summary: Their installers lacked proper training, resulting in various problems with the AC units over the years, including falling units, condensation issues, and extensive wall damage. Accuserv only provided temporary fixes instead of addressing the root cause. Despite having warranty, they refuse to service properly and expect me to bear future expenses. Details: Accuserv informed me via email, they are dropping me as a client due to my "unrealistic expectations". Accuserv installed a brand new AC/HVAC 4 years ago. Unfortunately the installers assigned to my project lacked proper training and expertise. From the onset, there were problems with the install and performance of the AC's. Issues included AC head unit falling off the wall, improper insulation causing condensation, no peat traps installed, no heat in the winters, multiple head units leaking water that resulted in extensive wall damage. On one occasion, they dislodged a drain tube behind the wall that resulted in extensive water damage, where I had to replace drywall, insulation and paint. I have incurred thousands of dollars in expenses as a result of Accuserv's problematic install. Over the years, they have tried to mitigate these problems with temporary fixes, always coming for a service call, yet failing to address the root cause of the issue - their incompetent installation behind the walls! I have asked them to reinstall it properly but they refuse and opted for quick fixes instead, until today. I have diligently followed Accuserv's maintenance schedule recommendation since the onset. Shortly after the last cleaning, the AC unit heads were again leaking greasy grime and condensation was dripping down the grills. A service call was promptly followed by an email from Accuserv that states the following: "It is with regret that we have decided to discontinue our services due to the difficulties we have encountered in what we deem are unrealistic expectations. We understand that the system we installed is still under warranty, and we want to make sure you know that we take full responsibility for any legitimate issues that may arise during this period. To ensure that any potential issues are resolved, we propose the following course of action: if you encounter a problem with the system, we ask that you engage a third-party technician to assess the situation and determine the cause. If the third-party technician concludes that the problem is related to our installation, we would be open to discussing the possibility of reimbursing you for the expenses incurred in having the other technician fix the issue." According to Accuserv, having a problem free installation is an ''unrealistic expectation that installations should not damage my property' and I have to incur expenses for any future issues with the AC, despite the fact that I have an 8 year warranty remaining. I chose Accuserv due to 5 star reviews and warranty. If I was going to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a AC/HVAC install, I wanted someone reliable, and knowledgeable. A company that takes responsibility and stands by their work. The 12 year no lemon warranty seemed to provide the security I needed to trust the installation to Accuserv. I did not want to cut corners and pay the price later. Yet, despite all this, I have been paying the price dearly by choosing this company. My Scenario. Electric hot water tank goes and I need to shut it down. Called Accuserv from the Web. Usually you think you're getting a call centre, or business message system. I actually got a person working at Accuserv Heating and Air Conditioning, and I called on a Saturday! I ask about this 24 service. There were good options, from emergency to appointment. I was able to get a Monday morning appointment. On Monday, 2 troubleshooting technicians arrived. We discussed the symptoms and it was clear to them and me that the tank had reached a age where the heating chamber inside cracked and not repairable. Now I discussed their schedule if I go with having them to do replacement. The on-site technicians got in touch with head office by texting and were able to provide a quote. I was interested in immediately being replaced, so I asked for ASAP, they gave me Tuesday morning. Accuserv was able to find 9 - 11 am slot for me. I am located in Leslie - 401 area. I was happy with the quote and the details of the product being provided. A deposit is always required and was provided. On Tuesday at 915am I had two Accuserv Water heater tank technicians here to: Drain the old tank, disconnect and remove it from my house and install a GSW electric hot water tank. I had previous had provided the information of what I wanted and they found it and completed the job in 48hrs from the time my electric hot water tank was done. The new electrical hot water tank was installed and running in 2 hrs. That is great need, especially in the winter when this happened. Hot water is so important. From my first time customer experience, I would highly recommend giving this company your business when you need such a device replaced quickly and professionally. The two crews were professional, courteous, and mindful of the disruption to your home. That is great customer service you need when having any major home installs done. Keep in mind price includes inspection, product and labour. I got a good warranty of parts and labour, typical of this product. read more

It's extremely rare for me to give a perfect score/rating that's why it's only 4 out of 5. Our A/C stopped working and we figured after doing our own trouble shooting the blower motor had failed. I called up Accuserve and they had a technician here the next day! We were right! Blower motor stopped working. Luckily (for us) the temperature dropped so we weren't melting. Long story short, it only took a week (part needed to be ordered and we had the inconvenience of this occurring right before a long weekend) and everyone at Accuserve was extremely professional. There was a slight mishap with the billing but it was cleared up/rectified all within literally 15 minutes! I'm hoping I won't have to call Accuserve again for anything but just like I told Amanda, I certainly WOULD recommend them! -----side note------ if you get their answering service, just remember they're just a service. They may say something not totally accurate so be sure to take their names so that James (I *think* maybe the head honcho??) can follow up and straighten them out!!! read more

On this website in the past 4 years we have received 19 separate consumer reviews. Some of those reviews are from regular local yelp reviewers. We have spent considerable money with yelp and now feel this site is extorting money by unfairly posting negative reviews on our business while choosing to ignore the majority of high quality consumer experiences. this is the only site that our company has a poor reputation on. We are certainly on board with consumer protection and we agree that all customers should be able to voice their opinion and rate different businesses but this clearly a very flawed processes of contractor rating from a company that seemingly has an agenda outside of conveying the true reputation of the contractor or business. It's never a great week when it starts with your hot water heater failing, especially when its only a few years old. After a difficult time trying to find a service contractor through the manufacturer I ended up finding Accuserv on my own. Expectations for a simple repair were very low. So I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received from Accuserv. Aaron and Rahul, the service techs who were dispatched, quickly found the partial cause of the unit's failure and clearly explained what work would need to be done and what the approximate cost would be. It quickly became clear that replacement would be the most effective course of action. Aaron recommended a model and after some research and price comparison Accuserv proved to be the best candidate. Aaron and Rahul were back by the end of the week to install the new unit. Their diligent work had the unit in and hot water restored by lunch on Friday. The service technician was extremely curtious and friendly. No complaints at all with him. Very honest. However, they tried to charge us $150 for a $15 oval run capacitor. Really? I get marking up your parts to make a profit but thats ridiculous, and is taking advantage of the average consumer.
