As with many Florida tradesmen and businesses, I have found some less then preferred, with only profit being important. Our homeowners insurance provider, USAA, referred me to Accutech following what should have been a relatively minor bathroom restoration project. While their "back office" team is very friendly on the phone, their internal communications and ability to manage very basic projects including associated charges/billing was horrible! We were initially charged over $450 for someone to paint the ceiling. In addition, when we expressed concern that the bathroom ceiling lighting/ventilation system may have experienced water damage, we were told it was a non-issue. Now, only a few months after the project was finished, the fan doesn't work. This is despite the bathroom not having been used. Oy!!!!! read more

After an a/c leak soaked the carpet in two rooms, we called a nationally known company that does water damage repair and restoration. They started the job, and gave us a low-ball estimate before they came out and then tripled the estimate and said that was a minimum. They refused to tell us what the cost was based on or any other information. They wanted us to sign a contract that gave them a blank check. When we refused and demanded more info, they pulled the equipment out. We finally got a bill after asking 3 more times over 5 days that was high even though the work wasn't finished or done properly. After this run around and being over charged by the competitor, some one recommended Accutech Restoration. What a blessing! Accutech took steps to properly and thoroughly dry out the carpet and floor underneath by lifting up the carpet in the whole area where the floor was wet/damp, instead of just a small corner like the prior company had done. They didn't use more equipment than necessary (so they didn't overcharge). They also checked on the job daily, removing equipment when possible to further minimize the cost. Every person we dealt with at Accutech was extremely diligent and professional: the owners, the managers, the office staff and the guys who came to the house just about every day to check on the job's progress. They were nice and caring and HONEST. Accutech also handled re-stretching, re-installing and cleaning the carpet. Finally, the carpet was dry and looked like new. And the price for everything was the same as the first company tried to charge us, even though they had not completed but about 1/3 of the job. Overall, we are very happy with the work, and the price from Accutech. We gladly recommend them for any water damage restoration and similar work. read more

This contractor walked off the job after being hired by my insurance company. Jeff Bloch treated me from the beginning as if he preferred he do whatever he wanted to my kitchen in hopes that I would have little to nothing to say about anything. And then acted as if I was being extraordinary, simply because I wanted explanations about what he planned on doing to renovate my kitchen. Literally. The communication was broken from start to finish and this was an obvious problem within their organization because the day the cabinet installers came to install the new cabinets they said "oh these aren't supposed to be here", referring to the old cabinets that were still mounted to my walls. Accutech then waited 2 months to remove my wet kitchen flooring and then told me the concrete was too wet to put new flooring down. Well guys, maybe if you had removed the wet flooring 2 months ago we wouldn't have this issue. Then, when the cabinet guy needed to cut 1.5" down my wall to install a cabinet, instead of cutting the wall that had 4", he took out the side that only had that 1.5" remaining, heading right into a half wall that had a countertop on it. Then he said "gosh, I hope this cabinet can clear this counter when opening". I said why didn't you cut the other side instead of cutting into the problem area? He said because he thought my cabinet would open towards my living room! So I'd have to wedge between a half wall and a cabinet door in order to get into my kitchen cabinet instead of simply having my cabinet open into my kitchen. Right, cause that would just make too much sense. After discussing with Jeff Bloch the details about how many drawers we needed to replace, we ended up losing SEVERAL that were promised as if they could just slip all these broken promises in there without me having any issue. Seriously? NOT happy at all with this contractor. Then, instead of taking responsibility and just fixing these issues, they run away as if the customer just wanting what he was promised is too much for them to handle. I just had an $80,000 remodel done on the other side of my house by another contractor. New roof, Master suite, hallway, laundry room, new concrete slab, block walls, new insulation, drywall, studs, ceiling, paint, etc. Never had any of these problems. They actually did what I asked them. NIGHT and day difference between 2 ends of my house. Only difference is the contractor being the differentiator. I mentioned a transition strip for my vinyl flooring they ordered that replaces the existing on on my step and Jeff Bloch said he'd never seen one of these in his entire career as a contractor and that they're unavailable. I ordered it myself from the flooring company they got the flooring from. Accutech removed baseboards, and damaged others when removing the flooring and then told me they weren't going to put in a request for new baseboards to my insurance company. After griping about this they reluctantly did. They simply just didn't like me being involved when they screw up so much. I mean, why would they? It's alot easier to have zero accountability. Instead of fixing these issues, they went and found me on Facebook and complained to my insurance adjustor that I tested positive for COVID and that's why they couldn't finish the job. They tried to lie and say that I was positive while they were here and I knew it. Absolute lie. My Facebook even shows that. Who goes on a customers Facebook anyway, unless the intent is to try and justify not addressing your customers issues, but trying to find ways to justify your bad business ethics to to yourself? I recommend a hard pass on this contractor. read more

Accutech installed a new engineered wood floor throughout the living areas of our house in Sarasota. Within a week or so it "popped" in several places so badly that you could see it move from across the room when anyone walked on it. Acetate's response was that they would replace the floor for $3.00 per square foot for removal of the badly installed floor plus the full cost of the new one. We had the floor repaired by another company and will not do business with Accutech again. read more
