The install team worked efficiently, were kind and cleaned up after themselves. LG Kramer really took the time to make sure everything went smoothly. Even after a year, we are receiving great service. Recently we chose to update a bathroom vanity, which left a gap in the flooring. We had a rocky start with this company, but the manager made it good in the end…read more The scheduler really messed us up, setting up a firm appointment for an apartment carpet that we relied on with an incoming tenant. He called the day before the install, but acted as if he'd never heard of us and offered a date in the following week. When I explained he had already scheduled us and we had a tenant moving in, he effectively shrugged, admitted that he did schedule us, but said he never set up the job, so... nothing. Our problem, not his. I complained in a email to the manager, who confirmed that this happened exactly as I said, and she squeezed us in on the originally scheduled day. This created a LOT of disruption to my business and that maddening attitude of "who cares" from the scheduler didn't help things. But after all that, the manager was accommodating and made it right. Can't really recommend them after that, but if you're doing a Home Depot install in the area, this the company you'll get. It's not like you have choices. My suggestion is to work directly with the manager and confirm everything the scheduler says with her, when he says it, exactly as he says it. Then somebody who cares will be aware of the job and you'll actually get your carpet installed.

The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was that the installer refused to lay a wood threshhold and hide tv cables under the closet rug. Also the upgraded padding was not installed. With 2 trips back, I got my threshhold (which I bought and stained) and the cables hidden. The padding issue would've meant tearing up the entire 2 rooms of carpet. Purchased an expensive vinyl plank Mohawk floor four and a half years ago. Finally got rid of the…read moredated carpets in most of the house. Was in love with the floor itself. I was advised by Showplace to take out the original flagstone entry into living room and put the vinyl plank right up to the door. I had a funny feeling that I should not have done that and did question it at the time. Wish I would have went with my instincts. Now, unfortunately, water is coming in from rotting wood door surround, or so I am told and its wicking under my floor! Disaster. I was down at my house and noticed at the last minute, the thin threshold was lifting up. I called them about replacing that part or to investigate what I needed to do to repair it. After much aggravation from the office staff, I had to suggest ordering one. They didn't even give me a price and I never would have dreamed it was $139 for the piece and for ten minutes to put it down! I should have been told this but the owner was not in at the time. They also said I had to replace the floor there. If the original flagstone or a like replacement had been retained, this never would have happened. The slow leak would have went onto the stone and not under my good floor! What a mess. the nerve to charge $139 for this. I bet if I called Mohawk I could have got it sent to me for twenty bucks and had my own handyman put it down. He had to make money on this too and then pursued a customer who paid for such an expensive floor, making his office staff call me repeatedly to haunt me for the money, even when I told him I was going to pay. He still had them harass me. Things must be pretty slow. For shame.
