This is the best watch shop in Orange county. I typically get my watch battery replaced every few years on my Swiss watch and I'm in and out of there in about 10 minutes. Thomas also replaces my band every few years because I'm pretty hard on my timepiece. He really knows what he's doing and he's been in business for a long time. I highly recommend him for servicing any watch. I'm trying to get my grandfather's old Gruen self-winding watch made in Switzerland in the 1950s because I think he's probably the only guy who can really fix it. I've taken that watch to some fancy jewelers by South Coast plaza and they couldn't fix it. Take it to this guy if you want your watch fixed properly. I'll keep you posted as to my really old Swiss timepiece that I need to get fixed. read more

Thats why I appreciate a good watchmaker. Luckily, I found a great one at Accutime Watch Center. His name is Thomas. Thomas has been my go to watch expert for years (17+ years). It doesn't matter what brand (Rolex, Cartier, Breitling, Omega, Tag Heuer, Baume et Mercier, and Hamilton in my case, so far:) or problem I have with my watch, he can fix it. Even when others failed. Yes, I tried other shops. You see, I used to live in Santa Ana by Thomas's old shop. I now move north to LA county. He has moved south to Newport Beach. Out of convenience, I had tried other shops. One by my house in Long Beach. The watch repair tech is very nice and accommodating. But after 6 times trying to reset a minute hand on the chronograph and fail, I knew it's time to make the drive. Once again, Thomas came to the rescue and fixed it, first try. I used to use Star Time in Costa Mesa, and they were great. $5 battery replacement for even expensive watches, and they would go above and beyond to provide extra services, usually at no charge, to promote customer loyalty. Visited Accutime Watch Center this afternoon for a band adjustment and a new battery. The business is a little hard to find, in the corner of a busy strip mall near the airport. The entrance is a little strange, with a small area with a cash register and a glass cabinet with leather watch straps, and a couch. Rather than being buzzed into the shop, you'll have to wait for someone to come out to find out what you need. I was quoted $10.95 for a watch battery. Okay, more than double what others charge, but I understand the markup. Then I was quoted $15.00 for a band adjustment (in my case, removal of a link). You have to admit, that is outrageous - for something with no parts cost, and which takes less than ten seconds of time to do. I paid it, but my advice to you, as a potential customer, is to look elsewhere. If you look in the original box that your watch comes in, you can usually find a link tool, and save yourself fifteen dollars. read more

Absolute stand-up guy. Came in a year ago to have my automatic watch made out of hand-selected ebay parts cleaned and fixed. (I had taken it to a mall outlet that shall rename unnamed to have the hands replaced and they completely bent the pinion.) He did a professional job, gave me a fair price, and was very responsive to my requests, especially considering the unusual nature of my watch. Came in today on a Friday right before closing time, just before flying to the east coast on Monday to get my watch regulated (it was running 20 seconds fast). Needed a battery watch replaced. This place is located near John Wayne airport, so not hard to get to if you are in the Irvine area such as myself. The watch had an issue with a screw on the back but the guys here fixed it with no problem and no extra charge. Cost about $11 after taxes. Will return when my next battery dies! Note: The location and parking are inside a courtyard that you have to enter off Birch. When looking for a reputable watch repair shop I came across this place on yelp. I needed new batteries in mine and my wife's watches. Took them both to Thomas at Accutime. My watch was a simple swap of one battery for another, but my wife's Tag needed to be pressure sealed to maintain its water resistance. I had to leave it for a couple hours. The watches were ready when promised. Price was very reasonable. The Tag battery cost about $70 because of the sealing. Mine was considerably less. I'm happy to have found a reputable watch repair place that's convenient as well. read more
