when you seek assistance from a business of this type it's usually a stressful time-this seemed irrelevant to staff. Once job was complete (couldnt get in for over 2 days) - no window in city in winter.. then they left adhesive all over glass. Staff was cold, unwelcoming and rude. read more

Biggest hacks I've encountered in a long time. They ruined my brand new truck that had a crack in the windshield. My formerly pristine black paint had scratches everywhere all over the hood and they even had the balls to insinuate I brought my NEW vehicle to them with parts missing from the trim around the windshield. I wish I never listened to the dealer about where to take it. At least the dealership is willing to pay to have the windshield redone somewhere else and replace the missing parts. The service manager told me I wasn't the first customer to have issues with them but I would be the last. read more

Like others, the windshield met a rock on the highway. I had called through my insurance company and got aimed at the national company, they messed up ordering and scheduling and I moved on to Ace. The car was a newer unique model and the windshield took a few weeks to get in and they kept me updated during the wait for it to come in. The day it arrived I got a prompt call to schedule it and when I arrived on time my car went right in. Nice quick turn around, with a windshield that had a lot of gadgets in and around it. Very cold receptionist. Walked right past me without saying hi or good morning. Very unfriendly. From start to finish, I had to wait 2 hours. I'll stay at home next time and will use Safelite instead. Won't be coming back here. read more

Yikes. Had an appt. with these people at 2.00pm, 3 0'clock came by and no one had showed up, after my second call they told me that the tech was having problems at his previous job site and they would have someone out in 15 min. forty minutes later someone shows up. half way through the repair he lets a plate of glass come through the window and shatter all over the inside of my son's room, the tech appeared not to care and had a very cavalier attitude about the entire fiasco, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Update: The tech was in his truck about to leave when we realized he had either ignored or forgotten the fact that he had not put the screen or storm window back into place, which were left in a corner of the room, we had to run out into the rain to catch him before he left. This is what this company does, no? repair windows? Seriously though folks, bring your business elsewhere. read more

I am so happy with the windshield replacement service that I received from Ace. I was able to speak to a real person when I called, and she helped me book an appointment for that same day. My car was finished in less than 45 minutes from my arrival, and they did a perfect job. Will absolutely be back for more work in the future. read more

What a great place... After having one of my car windows smashed I was given a long runaround by the glass place my insurance company recommended. In the end I took it upon myself to find another place to get it fixed. The people at Ace were friendly and found the window I needed right away. I went in to get a small piece of glass. I knew what I wanted. The lady at the front desk kept asking questions and the price of the piece I needed kept going up. At the end, she told me it would be around $35! Before that I was told I would need to get other special/expensive stuff done there for my project... She was nice but I really felt ripped off. I got it done in Framingham for ~$10. Don't get ripped off, especially if you know what you want. read more

I was referred here for a replacement driver side mirror 2 days before Thanksgiving. The staff are incredibly friendly, personable, knowledgeable and professional. They did an excellent job on the mirror and rushed the service without me even asking! I just had another mirror replaced and they were just as friendly and professional... also considerably cheaper than going to the dealer. Totally awful. I called this place to replace my windshield on recommendation of my dealership. The first time they replaced the glass, it was done incorrectly and made a loud squeaking sound so it had to be replaced again. In order to do that I had to drive to Ace's garage twice, once to have them verify that it was broken, and then again after they ordered it to get it replaced. Today, which is Saturday a week and a half later, the rear-view mirror fell off because they had not reattached it properly. I need to use my car this weekend for work, and called to have it reattached. However they refused to come out to fix it saying it's not their policy to work after hours. This is ridiculous. The problem is their fault and they should fix it after hours, especially after having already caused previous problems. I tried calling back to schedule an appointment and their answering service hung up on me. This company messed up my car, wasted my time, and refused to fix it in a timely fashion. This is completely horrible service on top of repeatedly incompetent work. I recommend avoiding this place like the plague. read more

Ace glass replaced the windshield on my Mercedes after it was broken by a rock on the highway. I encountered several problems with this company, and would NOT recommend them. Not only did they require an extra ~$100 for the job because my insurance didn't pay them enough for their liking, but they also broke several parts while replacing the windshield. They eventually paid for the repairs, but it took me about 3 months of effort to have the problem diagnosed and fixed. Try anyone else. I've had several windshields replaced by other firms with zero problems. read more

I love Ace. I've been here twice to get my car fixed from accidents. I was referred here by a coworker, and I've been extremely satisfied with their work. Their attention to detail and customer service is superb. I feel like they are always honest and would call me before doing any work. Some Autobody shops are so shady. Yesterday I discovered a 6" crack in my windshield. I brought my car down to Prime Acura in Westwood and they told me what I needed to do/who I needed to call to get the windshield replaced. After setting up a call back last night, Caitlin (sorry if this is the wrong spelling of your name!) called me first thing this morning and walked me through the process. She then completely took over, called Acura, called my insurance agent, and fully and thoroughly managed this for me. I did not have to do anything. She was very nice, incredibly helpful, and really made my day. I originally thought I was going to end up paying $600! We needed a new frameless glass shower door and chose Ace (1) because it's close to our home, and (2) because two other glass companies seemed much less interested in returning our calls or coming out for an estimate. I worked with Steve and found him to be pleasant and straightforward. His crew was timely in the work they did. But most importantly...when we determined that water was leaking under the newly installed door, Steve and crew were willing to come back very soon and re-hang the door to our satisfaction. This place employs some rude employees who lie through their teeth. I was told by the glass claim agency that they sent my claim over to this place, and they would contact me within 1 hour. A day and half later, I had to call them myself to ask about the claim. The man said that b/c I need the factory brand, he would need to order and I pay $250 difference (after checking with the dealer/factory). I OKed it and asked for an appt to put the windshield on. He rudely and curtly said he won't give me an appt until 1 week later when he gets the part. Really? Anyway, a week went by and no calls. I waited two more days since there was the memorial weekend, which may have backed up a few things. Then I called and a woman answered the phone. I asked about the windshield, and she said they haven't heard from the factory/dealer yet, but she would call right them right away. Half an hour later she called me back and said : "Your winshield is here." Wow, that was ....fast? I thought ACE haven't heard from the factory yet...just 30 minutes ago! She then said that I was supposed to call ACE to set up an appt. I was incredulous, and told her that b/c they are the one ordering the parts, they should cal ME when it comes in...not to mention that the dude said he'd call me back a week earlier. Then comes the shocker, she said I have to pay a difference of $470. I told her I was priced at $250 difference last time, and the dude already checked. She replied that this is the new price and that's that. Talk about ATTITUDE! I told her to take the windshield and shove it up her ****---- no, just kidding, I didn't say that, although I so wanted to. I did tell her that the amount is not what we agreed upon and that I don't want to continue doing business with them. So..... DO NOT do anything with them. If you must, don't do it over the phone. Get their quotes and their promises in writing. And if you do go there, tell them to hire someone who values customer service for me. read more

On a recent out of town trip our front windshield was struck by a rock while we were doing about 70mph resulting in a six inch crack right in the line of site. Called Ace Glass (like to try to support our local guys) . Young lady on the phone walked me through the procedure and took care of all the paperwork. Their technician arrived right on time. Glass was changed out in my driveway. The gentleman doing the work was personable, knowledgeable and very professional. I woke up to discover that someone had busted the window of my car, with a BB or pellet gun or something. Pretty sucky. We filed a claim and the insurance company said that with the crappy winter weather there had been lots of accidents and lots of repair places were backed up and we might need to wait 1-2 weeks. We called Ace Glass and the woman on the phone was beyond nice and patient. She said she was going to call and order it and let me know when it could be ready. It was the rear window of a Honda Element, so a curved, kinda specific window so we weren't holding our breath that someone would have it in stock. When she said "order" I assumed it would be at least a day or two, so I was beyond happy when she called back (within, oh, five minutes) and said that it would be in at 1pm and that we could come in that afternoon. Woohoo! It only took about an hour to fix, they got to it right away. Everyone was SUPER friendly and within twelve hours we had a new window. I am taking my business here from now on. read more

Needed my auto windshield replaced and had used these guys very successfully in the past so went back. First women I dealt with on the phone prior to going was very very nice. The woman at the desk today barely said hello when I walked in and while courteous was clearly doing the bare minimum (not that I require a whole lot but I also saw her act this way when another customer walked in...when he left he said "thank you" and she said nothing...pretty rude in my opinion). The tech guy was very friendly and we'll see how the windshield holds up....I noticed the glass not cut even at the bottom but chose to drive off and if this presents a problem over the weekend, I'll need to bring it back in...I don't think this should be showing. I also called on my way home to inquire about a rattling sound I heard while driving over bumps and was told it was just the adhesion settling.
