Afternoon arrives and parts are here as promised! However i realized i needed 1 more of the same part, so the manager orders another and promises it'll be here by 3PM. Store closes at 4PM and he said if i couldn't make it in time to give him a call and he'll personally wait a little past closing. Also bought some other items from them that were in inventory and staff was very very helpful. Sad that i didn't discover NAPA sooner - they have earned my business over other chain automotive parts stores. 5/5 stars... great customer service, friendly staff, and well organized location. If you can't find something in the shelf just mention it to the folks behind the counter and they'll be happy to assist.

You walk into Artie's and approach a counter behind which sit 3 rough-looking men tapping away on computers. You stand there unacknowledged for about a minute until one of them, without even looking up from his computer, says "Uh-huh?" or "Yeah?". As you try to describe your problem or ask for a certain part, God help you if your discourse shows you to be, even in the slightest bit, less knowledgeable about cars than they are, because their disdain will become apparent. Come on guys, customer service isn't for sissies. Come into the 21st century.

Today an associate at the parts counter became belligerent & condescending when I told another associate I wasn't being helped. On another occasion they refused to carry a battery to the car for my wife, I had to drive there to do it myself. Pep Boys has never treated me this way. A person on the phone who stated he was the manager also became belligerent & hung up on me.

We'd just had the car worked on a month earlier and then hadn't driven it for a month when it was snowy. We panicked and found the only spot that would take us on such short notice. These guys really saved the day, working as fast as they could to get us back on the road and keeping us in the loop the whole time. They even showed us exactly where the previous shop had messed up, taking photos for us. It wasn't cheap, but it was well worth it and we were able to travel a few hours later with no car problems on the whole trip. These guys are honest and hardworking and helped us out in a pinch.
