It's hard to find an independent shop that's willing to look at a hybrid (Camry). L&B took good care of my car. Car was in the shop for a week, but it was a tricky problem to find the actual source (electrical/computer issues were a side effect of a water leak the dealer couldn't find last time I went to them complaining of wet carpet.) And they charged me less than the dealer would have just to even look and make a diagnosis. I'll definitely go back. read more

In the city it's important to find the right place to have work done on your vehicle. I found out the hard way, a lot of people will rip you off. However "L & B Auto" doesn't seem to be one of them. I found this location on Yelp. It had good reviews so I figured why not. Plus it helped they were open at eight AM. When I pulled up, I couldn't believe how many cars were there. So many people trust this, do it all shop, for service. I mean, they do, body work, inspections, oil changes, and more. How's that for one stop shopping! I was greeted by the owner. He explained that the wait would be two to three hours. I was a few thousand miles over my oil change so I had to wait. I found a shaded area and got to work on my phone. But to my surprise, he walked over. He was able to squeeze me in and serviced my work vehicle. He also, took credit, which made things so much easier. To add to my service experience, I looked over the price. He actually charged me a great price for oil and wiper blades. It was the best I've seen in Brooklyn so far. Took it to a BMW dealership, they said it would take 4 days and one year old break pads must be replaced and the rest would take days to diagnose, which was a lie. I've used this place about five times now and will never use another repair shop! The guy who runs this place is a genuinely good guy who is honest about what needs to be done for your car and fair at pricing. We took the car once to pep boys for an oil change (not realizing L&B does them for cheaper at the time) and pep boys found an oil leak and axle issue and wanted to charge us $1700 for replacing the oil pan, gasket, fixing an axle and another thing I forget. Instead we got it fixed here the exact same repairs for $950 and now use L&B for oil changes and inspections too! Once we dropped the car off to be fixed while we were on vacation and he even moved the car for us on alternate side parking day to avoid us getting a ticket. A total gem of a human being! read more

I've found my new go-to shop! Chris is the best, he found all the issues with my car and quoted me a very reasonable price given all the issues it had. I had taken the car to another mechanic before I found Chris and they didn't want to "deal with the car". I was worried that I'd never find someone to actually want to fix my annoying car. So even before I brought my car in to Chris, I called ahead of time to see if he would even consider diagnosing/tackling some of the problems it had (one issue was power seats that didn't work which apparently are a huge pain in the ass, as I was told by other shops). Chris immediately told me that it was no problem at all and that he has no issues digging in to see what the problem was. That's what a girl likes to hear! He got back to me as promised and gave me a quote to fix some major items like brakes/power steering/oil leak and said he'd let me know about the power seats after he fixed the main issues. A few days later he called to tell me everything was repaired and was able to fix the power seats as well! What a gem of a human! The car now drives like a dream and much better than it has in years. the BEST repair shop in NY period. needed a service maintenance, a belt change, & some gunk that was thrown at my car removed & they had it all done in a day. i went to this other auto repair shop & the guy said i needed to replace the belt & the alternator of my car then quoted me $1800. i got a 2nd opinion with L&B & i'm SOO blessed that i did. they did my a2 service & told me i just needed the belt changed which saved me A LOT of money! plus i got 2 car washes to try to remove this sticky drink that was thrown on my car & those washes did nothing. he special ordered this gunk remover & went to work & got all of it removed. honest & hard working people. they slayed so hard omg . i will b referring ALL my friends to them & will ONLY b going to them for any future repairs / services . thank you so much Chris ! you the bomb dot com read more

I came here after reading all of the great reviews and Chris did not disappoint. My driver wheel was making weird noises since my wife got the tire patched at a place in Connecticut and as it turned out, the friggin wheel wasn't tightened enough! Chris told me it could have been a disaster if I had kept going on with it like that, was able to tighten the wheel and didn't charge me a dime.
