Since Midland is 2 hours from Lubbock, Ryan (the owner) wanted to fill a Midland day so they could come down and clean our carpets. We weren't in a huge rush so the nearly 4 week wait was ok with us. Ryan and his helper (sorry, can't recall his name) were great! They were very professional and friendly. And the best part... Elite Steam did a FANTASTIC job on our bedroom carpets. Our 3 little monsters did a number on the carpets with their snacks and drinks. I'd say about 98% of the stains came out. There were a few stains that had already been set in... probably due to me TRYING various stain removal products on them only to not remove the stain. (Note: Ryan recommends only water and vinegar to remove stains.) Oh, and I LOVE the smell of their cleaner. So fresh and clean. We definitely recommend Elite Steam!

This delay was critical, as my elderly father depends on oxygen and several home medical devices that require power. When we reached out to ServPro, Mark and his entire team--including the roofer, electrician, and cleanup crew--arrived the very next morning with a clear plan and got to work immediately. They removed the fallen tree, repaired the fence and home damage, and coordinated the electrical restoration seamlessly. One bedroom had severe spot issues with cat vomit and smell, and they cleaned it efficiently and got most of the smell out of all the carpets. The total price was $338, extremely reasonable for four rooms with cleaning, vacuuming, and deodorizing. They even provided a complementary pet deodorizer for our new residence! Before arriving, I received a phone call letting me know the technician was on the way. I also received a text message with a photo of the technician and a bit of background information. This way, I knew who to expect and he wasn't quite a stranger when he arrived. Both the technician and his partner introduced themselves and shook my hand upon arrival, and asked me to explain the situation and show them the rooms. After a quick survey and conversation, they explained the steps they would take to clean the carpets. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I will call Carpet Tech any time I need a carpet cleaning in the future.

I also payed two of the three installments up front. My home was totally torn apart and there were long periods of time when no one worked on the house. Then sometime in March-April 2018 they apparently walked off the job leaving their tools, clothing, and an unfinished final product. They removed popcorn from my ceiling but did not float the ceiling properly before re-texturing and painting. The texture is uneven from room to room, light fixtures, clothing, furniture were either incompletely covered or not covered at all. Expensive clothing and furniture was ruined along with the back door, alarm system, and watering system. Can lights were replaced with new ones that were just rewired and shoved up into the sheet rock with no housing creating a fire hazard. Old can lights were left hanging partway out of the ceiling. I have spent a fortune having the work redone and I have not recovered from the emotional trauma of allowing such poor workers into my home.

At first, we were satisfied with the work being done on our house. However, about 1 month into the work, things rapidly declined. Because of the remodel, both of our bathrooms were nonfunctional and we were told that we would be out of our house for 2-3 weeks until the bathrooms were completed. We made arrangements expecting to be back in our home within that timeframe. At that time, workers stopped coming to our house and we could not get a hold of anyone. On top of that, we had paid ahead for this work to be done and we began to panic. Furthermore, we had subcontractors showing up to our house saying that they had not been paid by the contractor despite us paying for that work to be done in advance. Several weeks went by this way and we finally got ahold of someone who told us that they would be resuming work at the house. We tried to be patient and make this work so that we could at least reach a point where they had completed enough work to even out what we had paid them. We had meetings set up and cancelled by workers every day for a week straight and they would always ignore our calls. This pattern of lack of communication and little to no work continued to the point where we could not continue any longer. We attempted to set up a meeting to discuss this, to which they did not show up so we ended up firing them over the phone. We then had to hire out another contractor to come in and fix and finish the work that was started. Because of this situation, Total Home Services owes us several thousand dollars of work they owe, damage they did to our home and property, and our own tools that they broke, of which we cannot get them to pay. In addition, because of poor work, we have had to spend several thousand more dollars in order to correct things that they ruined in our house. What was supposed to be 2-3 weeks out of our house has now turned into 2-3 months and it has been terrible and inconvenient. We have made several calls and texts asking for this situation to be made right, all of which have been completely ignored. I do not wish this upon anyone. Please do not hire these people.

It's not my fault I'm hoarse and your dudes couldn't hear me over the 65mph gusts of wind. Stay away, very unprofessional. Not impressed with how they treat ppl. They obstruct everything then tell you to call the number on the truck if you have a problem. THEN go get big "boss" to come out and scream at you like a freaking idiot. You have a loooong way to go in maturity before you could ever run a truly successful business as your customer service skills leave MUCH to be desired. Might want to take a workshop in growing your customer service skills. I've worked in customer service my whole life and what you did was truly tragic.
