Wells Fargo Bank - Really, Wells Fargo, reallllly?

Wells Fargo Bank

I would give them zero stars as they made a mistake by taking $350.00 cash I gave them to deposit,…read moreand they didn't, and continued to take $350.00 out of my account. This was May 8, 2025. It is now a week later and I still do not have my money back. Freaking cashier did a horrible job. Also if you try to call them, good luck because they are short staffed and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. When you finally get through, you Are told they will call you back but NEVER DO. THIS BANK SUCKS AND THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE -- it was all their fault but I am the one paying the price

Thank God Almighty I'm free at last, free at last…read moreBye, bye Wells Fargo This review is not so much for this particular location of Wells Fargo as it is for Wells Fargo as a whole and they suck on the hole. Go back 7 years ago or so and I arranged for an auto loan through Wells Fargo with a private seller on Car Soup. Went to the WF location in Eden Prairie to finalize the deal. What should have been a half hour (tops) deal ended up being a three hour ordeal. They could not get in contact with the regional office or corporate office or wherever in order to finalize the transaction. While we are waiting and waiting, the Wells Fargo lackey there pulls me aside and solicits me for a personal line of credit. Told him no, not interested. Thought that would be the end of that. Week later or so get a letter from Wells Fargo saying thank you for opening your personal line of credit. WTF? That shady mofo. This was many years before they got completely busted on this bullshit business practice. I knew back then I wanted nothing to do with them anymore. Unfortunately, I had my mortgage with them. Ugh. Transfered all my money to my local credit union, but kept a shell checking account for many years. Finally got rid of the mortgage and decided to be done with them. Went in to the local branch to cash in some coins and close it all out. Get to the front of the line and told they don't have the change counting machines anymore. Are you f'ing kidding me? This is 2017 and you are going backwards. Instead, they make you count and roll your own change before they will give you cash. The gal that I closed out my account with was friendly enough, but insisted on counting and rolling the coins for me. I was like if it is going to be more than five minutes, no. She persisted, and I relented and Wells Fargo wasted another half hour of my life. So glad to be done with them. Bank small and local! Peace!

U.S. Bank Branch

Another nice U.S. Bank location, as far as I'm concerned. It has one of my favorite features of…read morehaving drive-through teller service, no drive-through ATM, though. Bummer, dude. I only come to this location when I'm running errands in the area. I was there yesterday, went in to use the ATM, then proceeded to the teller station. The young woman who serviced me was very nice, polite, struck up light convo. She was efficient and quick, which always helps. I was in and out in about five to seven minutes. Going through the teller service is here is about the same as the prior location I reviewed, but maybe a little faster. This one doesn't give out candy, tho. LOL So, this one will also be on my regular list when I need banking services.

Came to this US bank location as I was switching from TCF to US Bank due to issues with TCF…read more Setting up the checking and savings accounts went smoothly. I was promised my cards by the that Friday (set up took place Monday). Delighted, I transferred all my money from TCF to US Bank, eagerly awaiting my cards. It is now three weeks from the date I was promised my cards, and I still haven't received my cards. As a result, I have maxed out my credit card, as I have no access to the money I transferred into my checking account without the cards. No one had given me an answer as to why I haven't received them during my three stop-in's. I am regretting my switch from TCF to US Bank when the disorganization is equally as bad, if not worse, thus far.

TopLine Financial Credit Union

TopLine Financial Credit Union

Bank at a Credit Union, they say...better rates, friendly service, reasonable fees...you're not…read morejust another number. So, I became a "member" of Topline Federal Credit Union. Years later I still struggle to see the benefits? I'm starting to think those are just misconceptions. I unfortunately & accidentally tossed my debit / cash card in the trash...17 days ago. I called Topline, explained I needed a replacement and was informed I would be charged $15 and the card would arrive in 7-10 business days. Hmmm? That's not really a benefit? A fee...and a really long time to wait for a new card. Bummer. But, I agree...and I wait. The 10th business day has come and gone, and I still have not received my replacement card. Functioning for what has now been 17 days without a card to access my checking and savings accounts has been a challenging inconvenience. I made several calls to my branch leading up to today, expressing my concern because a card had not yet arrived. I was always asked to "wait another day" - which I patiently agreed to do. Today my patience has run out. I call the branch promptly at 8:30 am, again I explain the situation and again I am told to "wait another day". No. I'm done waiting. Please cancel the card that is clearly never going to arrive, and expedite another replacement. Oh, what's that? A $35 charge for another card...and you refuse to refund the $15 you've already charged me for a card that hasn't arrived? And how long will the expedite take? 7-10 business days? So, now I've been without a debit card for 17 days and I get to pay $50? And...I may not see a debit card for another 10 days. Wow! This Credit Union thing is GREAT! I get it...they use a 3rd Party Vendor and are somewhat at the mercy of others. But...so I am. Their MEMBER...their CUSTOMER. They refused to waive any fees and seem none too concerned with my situation. I took my frustration to Social Media where more than one person commented that their bank printed them replacement card(s), on the spot. I guess that's not a member benefit here at Topline? Most disappointing was when I express my frustration with the situation, and the credit union overall; noting I would be looking for another bank...I was basically told "go right ahead". You know what else is a misconception? Customer service. Maybe I'd rather just be a number somewhere else...than a disappointed member here.

I opened a checking and savings account with this bank in early May after my 87-year-old mother,…read morewho has been a customer for over 15 years, highly recommended them. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing like hers. It is now almost July, and I still have not received my account information or my debit or credit cards despite having to call customer service at least five or six times. No customer should have to repeatedly chase down basic account materials after opening new accounts. What finally prompted me to write this review was my interaction with a customer service representative named Penny. From the start of the call, she repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to explain why I was calling. She even argued with me about my mailing address, despite the fact that many eastern Twin Cities suburbs use "Saint Paul" in their mailing address. As I explained that I was understandably frustrated after nearly two months of trying to resolve this issue, I felt that her tone became increasingly dismissive and condescending. Rather than listening, she repeatedly told me to "calm down," said things like "Oh, you poor thing," and spoke to me in a way that felt patronizing instead of professional. I was also placed on hold for nearly 20 minutes just to retrieve my account number. After the call ended, she called me back and left a voicemail that I found highly inappropriate and unprofessional. At that point, I had completely lost confidence in the level of customer service I was receiving. I will admit that after weeks of frustration and what I felt was disrespectful treatment, I became upset at the end of the call. However, that frustration was the result of nearly two months of unresolved issues and an interaction that I believe could have been handled much more professionally. I chose this bank because of my mother's excellent experience over the past 15 years. Sadly, mine has been the exact opposite. I hope management reviews this situation, listens to the recorded calls and voicemail, and takes steps to improve how customers are treated. No one should have to fight just to receive their account information and basic respect.
