Therefore, I called around to find out which office had a military discount like McClellan. Antelope did plus they were closer to my house and had longer hours. A plus with the Antelope office was that you are treated with respect and as a good customer. Not like McClellan - don't care if you give them your business or not. I have never had such a frustrating experience with an insurance company…read more I called Freeway Insurance simply to change my deductible because my auto loan company notified me that my coverage was considered deficient and I was at risk of being force-placed into an additional $255 insurance policy. What should have been a simple request turned into a nightmare. I was hung up on SIX different times while trying to get assistance. When I originally called to update my policy after trading in my car, I was told I had to cancel my existing policy and start an entirely new one. This resulted in me having to pay an additional $750 just to keep coverage in place, on top of my regular payment that was due only two weeks later. The process and costs were never clearly explained. To make matters worse, I received notices in the mail stating that my policy was missing required vehicle photos. However, when I contacted customer service, they could clearly see that the photos had already been submitted and simply uploaded them to my policy themselves. So why was I being threatened with issues over documents they already had? The lack of communication, repeated disconnections, conflicting information, and overall disorganization caused unnecessary stress and wasted hours of my time. Insurance is supposed to provide peace of mind. Instead, dealing with Freeway Insurance has been one of the most aggravating customer service experiences I've ever had. I would not recommend Freeway Insurance based on my experience.

Funny thing is that I've never been to this branch, but I came in today and had a good experience. The staff who greeted me was cheerful, friendly, and polite. They also offered me a bag and some goodies because it's apparently Member Appreciation Day. I do recall previous ones like this, and they even had complementary lunch (hotdogs and a bag of chips and a drink once and a food truck that offered a really hearty and nice meal another time). Not as fancy today, but it was still a nice gesture. As for the banking experience. The app is good and usually my wife does the banking using the website and it works well too. Overall, we have smooth transactions here and I'm glad to find another location that's friendly and even more so than the ones I've been to before.
