I will give it 2 stars only because they tried and seem to be just starting out but honestly but being deceptive to your customers is no way to run a business. Normally I attempt at least 3 times at a business before doing a bad review . the good thing was they were open late unlike some other barbershops so it was very convenient to stop in on the way home from work. for a long time they had a sandwich board on middlebelt advertising mens haircuts for around 7 or 10 dollars it was worth the stop in. normally this is definitely not a place for mens haircuts I would say but it was convenient and my barber was closed both times . I went back even though I was displeased with the haircut but this seems to be a problem in a lot of places where they are not trained on clippers and cannot fade a haircu.t you wind up leaving with a line all the way around your head they tried a couple times to blend it but I believe the skill set is just not there. when it comes to mens haircuts the individual cutting my hair admitted they did not do the extra couple weeks at school for the barber endorsement which is fine and understandable and for a quick haircut at a reasonable cost I was willing to deal with that . like all things there is a trade off cheaper cost and you're willing to deal with less of a job in quality the individual cutting my hair was definitely nice and conversational and to be honest was mainly the only reason I went back. the part that was the worst and the straw that broke the camel's back when I went in and at this point new the female cutting my hair .t halfway through the haircut made a comment about the sandwich board being broken when I asked why it wasn't on the road anymore. only at the conclusion of my haircut which again I had a line all the way around my head poorly blended I was told the cost was more than double . that was just inexcusable when you run the same promotion for over 3 months and have a customer used to the haircut and price you do not avoid telling them till the conclusion of a haircut . every time I was there the shop was completely empty aside from the two other men that notice the sandwich board the first two times and stopped in. I hope the same thing did not happen to them but I won't be back ..I definitely hope the way they do hair for female clients is much more straightforward and a better job done I wish them the best but definitely displeased.

I don't work here, but I can honestly tell you that I appreciate good service, and good variety, and that's why I am taking the time to share all of this. Here goes: STAFF The staff is FRIENDLY (how many shops can say that?!) AND KNOWLEDGEABLE...and on top of that, they're NOT A CHAIN!! WOOHOOOOO!!! You've got to get me on this-- the staff greets you with a smile AND a welcoming comment. This isn't like some of those beauty shops that just watch you walk around, or only greet you AFTER they realize that you're there to look seriously and will purchase (you know what I mean). They have a large variety of every type of hair product you can think of. Whether you wear your hair natural, relaxed, curly, wavy, bone straight or a wig, or a weave, this place has something for you. I don't care if you're not black, this place has SOMETHING you can use, and if you don't think they do, the staff there can recommend something that will work. COSMETICS Large variety of affordable eye makeup, lip glosses, lipsticks, foundation, powder, nail care, nail polish and so on. They have a few brands in particular (Eyedol eye shadows, Sinful Colors lipstick, Kiss lipstick) that are priced super well but have decent quality for the price. Their Orly Nail Colors are priced cheaper than Sally's, and they are the current ones, not the clearance or "just about to be discontinued" colors (you know what I mean). I purchased a few eyeshadow kits here for experimenting with new colors and the colors have lasted, don't smear OR crease...AND I had 12 shades in each kit for less than $4. You can't beat that! HAIR Shampoos, conditioners, leave-ins, shine polish/spray/glossers, curly formulas, specialty brands, and so on? They've got it. They sell weave hair and wigs, too. Lots of them! They're also authorized retailers for higher end weave hair, so you can buy that here, too, if that's your thing. They offer a large variety of electronic tools for hair care, including ceramic irons, hair dryers and more, decently priced. They also carry a large variety of hair accessories, from clips to barrettes, at reasonable prices. You'll be surprised. SKIN A number of skin care product lines here, so take your pick, INCLUDING the all natural Nubian Heritage line that's sold at Whole Foods for about triple the price (awesome natural and organic soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and body washes....I'm miffed they don't make any body sprays, because I'd be first in line...but that's another story). NAILS If you do your own, or get them done, you can get the stuff you need here. CLOTHING They sell tshirts, little winter hats and some pants. HOSIERY They have a full line, including fishnet, sheer, footless, specialty design & opaque at ridiculous prices. I was JUST in TJ Maxx looking for opaque black stockings (who DOESN'T need opaque black stockings? lol) and didn't want to pay $6 for them. (Yes, I can be verrrrrrry cheap.) I found them here for less than $3. JEWELRY Who doesn't love a little sparkle? Find it here. They have a lot, ranging from nickel-free, surgical steel, silvertone, goldtone, real sterling silver to gold, too. Crystals and rhinestones abound, too. GENERAL PRICING Inexpensive to moderate, depends on what you're looking for... THE NITTY GRITTY Check. It. Out. for YOURSELF! Go to Redbox in Kroger's in the same shopping center, then go get your beauty on over here. A RANDOM P.S.
