Vans Landscape to the rescue! Summarizing for those that…read moredon't like to read a lot - My experience with Van and his team were great! Van was clear in communication - we accomplished a lot via text messaging; they were fast in execution and implementation and amazing in clean up. I can easily, and heartily, recommend and refer Vans Landscape (vanslandscape.org)! About my tag line - I'm not exaggerating when I lead with 'to the rescue', let me provide some details for context ... I'd previously hired a different landscaping service to do some fairly major change, cleanup and renovation work for my small space. In the end, that other landscaper's description of the work, including rendered images of what the finished product was to look like - did NOT match the result. Enter the home owner's association ... where they reminded me that what they approved and what they saw - wasn't the same. Yeah - it was so bad that multiple neighbors and the HOA 'expressed concern'. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed, discouraged, disappointed. I'd just moved into my space a couple of months ago, all the hope and optimism that comes from moving into a new space, being a new home owner and looking to fit into the community. Yikes! How much would a correction cost me? Could I trust another landscaping service? How long would it take? How much would I be fined by the HOA? I took a couple of days to organize my thoughts, and began the search for another landscaping service and came across Vans Landscape. Van scheduled a time to visit my space. He patiently listened to my situation while we walked my small property. He kindly and respectfully offered some alternative suggestions. I had been so distracted by my disappointment and frustration with the situation, that Van's suggestions 'cut through' - they are much better looking and functioning solutions. Thank you, Van - I am grateful! In the end, I'm proud of how things now look. My small rock front yard has a clean, low and gradual, retaining wall that goes up the street, an extended retaining wall along a shared property line and some new arborvitae for privacy in my back patio - resolving concerns and issues for the front and giving me some privacy on my back patio! My neighbors have remarked that 'It (the retaining wall) is beautiful', 'Looks so much better', and 'Should we add them to the list for the HOA?' (Yes!) It may sound silly, but I did feel 'rescued' - someone helped me when I genuinely needed it; resolving my real issues, improving curb appeal, and resolving my neighbors and HOA concerns. My future plans include Van's ... When I'm done, and with HOA approval, I'll be asking Van to give me an estimate on my ideas. Again, my experience with Van and his team were great. I easily recommend and refer Vans Landscape (vanslandscape.org)** for your next project or for landscape maintenance as their attention and commitment to detail was made clear. **Yeah - I listed the site as there's a few Van's Landscape sites out there; I want you to have the one I used.

I had a very positive experience with Van's Landscape while getting bids for my mom's property…read morecleanup project. Their quote was fair and competitive -- ultimately I decided to move forward with someone who came directly recommended by a friend, but Van's pricing was absolutely in line with the market and within about $100 of my lowest quote out of five different providers I interviewed. The scope included a full spring cleanup of a heavily overgrown yard, including mowing, pruning, weeding, pressure washing, bark installation, and repairing a distressed gravel pathway. Their pricing was very much on par with the other companies I met - for that large service, as well as ongoing bi-weekly yard care. They were on time, responsive via text when confirming the verbal quote and providing additional pricing details, and overall very kind, transparent, and fair throughout the process. Even though I went a different direction for this particular project, I would absolutely feel comfortable recommending them in the future. The experience was easy, professional, and very competitively priced.

Several months after the service, I am unable to stand by my original review. I struggle to find…read moreredeeming qualities in the staff and business practices of this company when issues arise. When I reached out after discovering continued issues with their work, they deflected responsibility, provided poor customer service, and in hindsight - were unprofessional and unskilled. When I sought a quote through Yelp in looking for someone to repair a leaking sprinkler, they were quick to respond. I saw on their website that they offered free estimates so I provided my address, and after they came, demanded I pay $200+ for a consultation fee after looking around. Since I brought up the false advertising and the free quote offer on their website, they "compromised" by saying that they would put the amount towards the service if I worked with them. This was their only compromise - no apology, no leaving, just a demand that I pay the $200 for coming out, or work with them. After I agreed and accepted the offer, they did the job poorly, and kicked an underground pipe (in front of my husband, and dismissed his concerns when he noted that kicking the pipe may break it) which later began leaking. They continued to deflect responsibility when we tried to reach out about the escalated leak when our water bill increased the following month. When they did communicate with us, we were instructed to monitor the leak for a month and return with observations. Zero follow up. Then, when they came back to review the issue in person, they insisted on an additional weathering service before addressing responsibility, and would not accept any fault or offer any solutions except to have them come back in the Spring to turn the water back on....for another $200. Again, denying any culpability nor offering solutions. There was repetitive and creepy emphasis on leaving them a good review online, saying there was no issue, and continued deflection, and denial of responsibility. I don't know what kind of Jedi mind trick they're attempting here but my first hand witness and water bill speaks for itself. Beware.

Victor at Evergreen Life Landscape Construction is fantastic!…read more He solved a difficult irrigation problem that other companies couldn't fix--and at a fair price. He was reliable, kept great communication, and was very easy to work with. I'll definitely be calling them for future projects. They can also help with other home projects like pavers, retention fence, artificial grass. And as a thoughtful touch, he even gave me a beautiful orchid as a thank-you!
