At the other big box stores the staff seems put out by questions and it's been my experience they don't have any idea what you are asking for and on the off chance the do, they don't know where it is kept. Value at Ace is service. It's my default store and I find pricing in line with the others.

Stopped by this Ace post Black Friday to make use of a coupon sent out…read more The item was in stock and it was a hassle to make payment. Returned two days later to pick up a birthday gift. Found items in line and they were on sale. Pointed out the items were on sale. I walked back to the rear of the building and removed the sales tag. Also pulled up the price using their Ace Smart phone app. Lower price was on the tag and the app. I was told that I should not remove the shelf tag. The clerk had to call over a manager to override the price. Yes I was able to get it at the sales price. Neither the manager nor the clerk apologized for the inconvenience and hassle. I was not thanked for my business and see no reason to visit this store again. I have made purchases at Ace in Cartersville and never had a problem. This Ace has Unhelpful folks!

The lumber section of the store is in a back corner, and isn't a very large area. While I was selecting my piece of wood, several men would just walk walk in front and around me, without saying excuse me nor being verbal at all. It was like I wasn't even there, to them. So as to not get touched or knocked over, I had to move away from the lumber twice, even though I wasn't finished making my selection, just so I wouldn't be "in the way." When I went to check out, I was standing in line, and the cashier, Don, called the gentleman who was behind me up to the register to check out. That gentleman let the cashier know that I was ahead of him and it was my turn to check out. I had actually been standing in line for a while before the customer behind me even got in line. Don then called me up- he offered no apology. As he checked me out, Don didn't ask if I had found everything ok. Didn't ask if I needed anything else. Generally unfriendly. I just generally noticed a certain theme in this store, and I don't like the vibe. Maybe some diversity, in gender and/or race, would help offset that vibe. I'm not sure, and don't really care because me nor my dollars will be returning.

If you don't see something today, give them a couple days and try again they are constantly getting in new product. If possible have THE HOME DEPOT APP on your smart phone, when you find a product your interested in open the HD app and scan the bar code whatever it shows at HD price you pay 50% of that price. Not everything scans so you will have to ask for a price. As I said the store is packed so if you're looking for multiple of the same item you may have to search around to see if they have additional quantities. My last time in the store I picked up a couple nice semi flush interior light fixtures and cannot be happier with them. Their hours are shorter than most retailers and they definitely have a small parking lot that is shared with a couple other businesses in the little center. From the outside, seeing the building you may be tempted to drive on by and not go in but that's your loss, you need to go in.
