I've lost count of how many times I came to this location only to find that the item I was looking for was not in stock, or it wasn't sold here. Sadly today, in the midst of fall with leaves everywhere, there wasn't a Home Depot paper bag (for my leaves) in sight! (at YOUR store) I was told to look in 2 locations, the 1st was an empty pallet, the 2nd there was none. I thought I was done when I waited in the paint line and was ignored. I'm not even upset. Your location has been going downhill for years, and yet I still came. Today, I'm done. nice knowing ya! The reason we went with Home Depot for this kitchen makeover project is because we were told that Home Depot would have excellent warranty coverage and service. We are finding out that it is the polar opposite of that. We are profoundly disappointed that we cannot get anyone (outside of our local store) to show any interest in helping us. Our soft close drawers are having major issues after only four months after installation. On one side of the kitchen, they will not close, and on the other side of the kitchen they will not stay open. read more

Overall, it's a good store. I almost always use the order online and pick up in store. If you go at the right time of the day, the line isn't long, and it's an easy in-and-out. The place is usually clean, including the restrooms. Items are almost always in stock. Finding them can be tough, but the app is helpful if you have it. There are lots of workers about, but they always seem to be busy with other customers. It's hard to flag someone down to ask for help cutting a key, or to ask where such-and-such is. When I have gotten hold of someone, they aren't always that knowledgeable. I was shopping for a hot water heater, and the fellow they sent to me just took me to a computer and went to the Home Depot online site: something I just as easily could have done without coming into the store. The workers are courteous. So it's a decent store, but not the best place I've ever been. Edit June 2018: One of the workers in the garden center was very helpful; I should have gotten her name. She went out of her way to check in with other customers and me; when I took her up on her offer, she was very knowledgeable about what plants to get for what areas of my yard, and guided me right to the plants I needed. Loaded my whole cart with Sheetrock, lumber, etc. Walked away for 5 minutes to grab a couple of small items. The associates in the lumber department decided to unload my entire cart, put all of my items back on the shelf, and take my cart in those 5 minutes. Apparently they don't have enough carts at this store so you have to make multiple transactions if you need big & small items. Or you have to roll the big carts all around the store to make sure they don't reclaim them immediately. Time is money and this Home Depot costs you time. read more

What terrible and rude customer service. Isn't Home Depot supposed to be the nice location of all the big box retailers? I was ignored the entire time I was here. I asked for help 3 times. The first two times no one even responded. The last time, I walked up to an employee and expressed my frustration with the service and she said they're busy and if I'm not finding it on my own then it's probably not there. Didn't even remotely offer help. And by the way, by "busy" she must have meant they were busy catching up with each other because they were LITERALLY standing in a circle talking. I have to say this is the first time that I have been completely dissatisfied with this Home Depot store in Acworth. I went online like they requested filled out all of the military paperwork to start receiving my 10% discount without showing ID. After spending over an hour gathering up wood to purchase at Home Depot I was denied my military discount of 10%. As you can see I went down to Lowe's to purchase the same amount of wood and they gave me the military discount total savings of $223. Home Depot you have lost me as a wood customer going forward and I will continue shopping at Lowe's as they do honor the military with a 10% discount. Please note I did talk to two assistant managers on duty at Home Depot and one said that the military 10% discount is not good for wood products and one said we can use the coupon code but was over ruled by other management. I am completely dissatisfied with Home Depot and how they treat the military discount. I recently moved to Acworth near this Home Depot. I have been there often and almost always get what I need. I recently bought a house with a pool. I have never owned a pool before and I am very happy to discover that Home Depot sells pool maintenance equipment and chemistry. This is so convenient since you can stop in for chlorine or algaecide at 9pm when the pool supply shops are closed. Staff is friendly and knows where everything is located. read more

Contacted Home Depot to see if they can let me know if there is any type of manufacture warranty. It's a Home Depot in the middle of the filth that is Ponce, what else can I say? I love that the garden section is so big it has taken over half the parking lot! I was recently up there when the sprinklers were going off and was told to stop running through them and laughing. There was no one around! I bought something and they finally let me run around but I swear I am on You Tube! Home Depot is a contractors store, Lowes is built for homeowners. I'll take HD anyday! It is well lit, everything is marked clearly and easy to find and the sales are better than their competitors. Not to mention the sales staff goes out of their way to help you and show you new products. I am a chick and it is nice that they don't talk down to me when I rattle off my power tool knowledge. The worst shopping experience I've ever had anywhere. I bought a fridge over two weeks ago. It was delivered Saturday damaged with a large dent in the front door. I refused the delivery because of the damage good. The guys were nice. The people on the phone were not as nice. They told me they'd call me in two days to tell me when they'd schedule me for redelivery. I companies and they called me a couple hours later and told me Thursday was the next availability. I agreed as long as it was after 530 because I can't get off work. I was told they would do that for me.. On Thursday I get a call at 230 saying they were 30 minutes away. I call the number back to find out why so early and I'm told I don't have a delivery scheduled for Thursday but it's scheduled for Friday... So I don't break away.. I get a call 30 minutes later saying they're at my house... I call the store upset.. I'm told if I cancel I may pay a restocking fee because it's in my contract.. I laugh at that because it's also in my contract to get a undamaged refrigerator last Saturday... I get the assistant manager on the phone, he says someone above him said to offer me $200 to let them deliver Friday.. I took it.. The window was 230 - 630, I had my sister wait at the house, paid for a pizza to be delivered... Well at 645 I walked into the store with no fridge wanting my money back. I waited 2 hours.. Let me begin by saying this review is specifically regarding an experience I just had with assistant manager Corey. I bought a Honda mower on the advice of a sales associate, used it three time and it completely stopped working. I brought it in for a refund and Corey informed me that a technician would have to look at it to see if it could be repaired. Corey called today and told me that it is a carburetor issue which is not covered under warranty. I explained again that the mower has been used a total of three times, that I was never told that it needed special gas, etc. Corey would not budge, even though I know that as an assistant manager he has the authority to make this right for me. I have spent so much money at this store but after this experience I will take my business to Ace and Lowes. Home Depot really let me down, but no more. So much for customer service! read more

This store has the worse customer service! I have spent a ton of money at this location doing a home remodel. I tried for over a week to speak with someone regarding custom kitchen countertops and every time I would call I was told the designer wasn't in, to call back the next day. I would call back and then be told they were not available I could leave a voice mail. Problem with leaving a voice mail is that no one ever calls back!! I tried going to the store, but no, there wasn't anyone working in design at that time, they tell you to come back the next day. I am finally giving up. Made an online order at midnight thinking it would be convenient to pick up the next morning. WRONG! No text. No email. Called the store and was told the order was ready. When I arrived at the store, the order had not even been pulled. Now they were going to pull the order while I was there. That wasn't gonna happen. I cancelled the order and confronted the manager, who could have cared less. Told him I was going to Lowe's. I went to Lowe's and was in and out in 30 minutes, AND, they matched HD's prices. WELL STOCKED AND WELL STAFFED! This Home Depot is very unique because it is the only store, (I've seen locally), that has its own gas station located in front of the store. It is easily located on Cobb Parkway just across the street from the Target Shopping Center. We stopped in today to get a few plumbing and painting supplies. The store was packed with customers but it also had a great deal of employees ready to provide assistance and support. We had no problem getting what we needed and exiting in a timely manner. read more

I'm in the process of selling my home and have come to this store at least 20 times in the past several months. Here's a few of the amazing experiences I've had: - mixing paint: I had 4 paints I needed mixed to do touch-ups. Instead of putting them in 1 at a time, the employee put them all in the 5 gallon shaker and one popped open. Paint got all over the other gallons. I lost tons of my paint. He wipes the tops and sides of the gallon but I didn't realize he didn't wipe the bottoms, so now i have permanent paint rings in the back of my SUV... thanks Home Depot - today I was waiting for help at the paint counter and he told me he'd be right with me, walked away and after waiting over 5 mins for him to come back I gave up - a employee was hunched over on the checkout station. I said excuse me and she didn't respond. So I thought maybe she didn't hear me so I said it louder. She turned around with so much attitude like I interrupted her. So I said never mind and walked away. - another employee I asked for help to find an item from the website. She wanted to pull it up on her phone to see if she sees the same thing. Seriously? So whatever you purchased goes to the trash now unless you can find someone else that needs it. More waste in the landfills. Unfortunately, your review did not meet our guidelines for posting on our site. The highlighted section(s): is vague or needs more detail We couldnt get any help in the window treatment area since they only have one person working in this area and they were busy helping someone purchase carpet and set up the installation. We got the info we needed and went online and ordered these blinds for the bathroom we were remodeling. Pictures are hard to see what they will look like in person in this color. The order was placed with a 10 day delivery window (15th), which we were good with. The 15th comes and abother 4 days is added to our delivery date, this is not acceptable. i checked the tracking informatuon only to find they did not ship the 1 blind until the 13. So it takes 9 days to cut a cellular blind down to 23" (5 minute job). I know window treatment stores tend to be a little more expensive, but that is where I will be going for blinds from now on. Now your nickname has to be 4 letters, hope your name isnt Ron, Tom, Bob who comes up with these ideas? read more

Customer service is not good. I tried to find warranty information for the four kitchen appliances I bought in January 2017. HD )transferred me to several different departments, lost contact twice but never got a direct answer IF my refrigerator was under warranty or IF HD even serviced appliances they sale. I spent almost $4000 after Christmas but all four items have issues: leaking seals, self-cleaning functions don't work, hard to read controls, light bulbs weak and burnout, freezer drawer freeze up, ice maker barely works...No I won't buy appliances at HD again! read more

The Acworth Home Depot is one of the best Home Depot retail stores I have ever been to. The staff are very helpful, friendly and welcoming. If you can't find something, help is never far away. Kyle, Leo, Jill, Amanda and Kelsey have become familiar faces and always go out of their way to make my time in the store a pleasurable one. BTW, the paint department rocks. My house has 6 year old paint on it. I needed to replace an area of siding and I took a sample in to match paint colors. I came back to my house, painted the new siding and the colors were an exact match. Looks like I never had to make a repair. Thank you! Keep up the great work Acworth Home Depot! read more

This review is solely related to Judy's customer service abilities. I recently became a home owner and have been frequenting home improvement stores more than I would like too admit. I have had multiple extremely unpleasant experiences with Judy at returns. Literally every time I see her she is in the worst mood. I used to work retail when I had my first job at Best Buy and was always nice and know how to make the customer feel appreciated and not an inconvenience. Tonight I was at Home Depot and normally wouldn't feel the need to write a review after, but I am making an exception. Today she could not scan an item I was returning. "She slams down the item and slams down the scanner" she said it doesn't scan and said it doesn't look like its ours. I reinstated that I know for a fact this came from Home Depot. To expedite resolving my issue I attempted to grab the same item that would scan. I quickly go and grab a 4x4x4 inch pipe fitting, by mistake I grabbed another "kind" of 4x4x4. she said its not the same one this one has thicker walls and made me walk back to grab the one I replaced. I find a very helpful employee "scan" the pipe I originally walk in with and ask him to walk back to explain to "pleasant" Judy that it is our item but in a different section than were I thought I found it. (every Home Depot is different) Another time I went to Home Depot to find a receipt I couldn't find at home, there was no line at returns and I see Judy, she says she doesn't know how to do it and gives me a huge gasp and curses under her breath. I say I have the upc and know I bought it from either this store or another. she said she can only scan one store at a time, I say no you can scan up to 3 stores because another employee has done it for me not to long ago and it took only took a moment. she said ya that was our old system. she than radios another person to come do her job for her but I had to wait about 10 minutes. The next nice employee finally walked over and did Judys job for her while Judy was sweeping the floor the whole time I was standing. Judy needs to stay at home if she wants to be so rude to complete strangers. I like to treat people with respect even when they are rude to me but any more contact with Judy could make me not be able to bite my tongue and give her a piece of my mind. fire her. Most employees and a majority of customers are not wearing masks. Customers not wearing masks are not even attempting to distance themselves from anyone. In fact they are belligerent in coming right up to you and standing beside you as we shopped. Highly recommend avoiding until they change their policy on face coverings. read more
