BEWARE F&D COUNTERTOP CONSUMERS. I purchased my black granite countertop from F&D. I inquired if I could review my countertop prior to it being delivered to my house but my request was denied. At that time I discovered that they use a 3rd party (Granco) for countertop installations. The day came for the installation and 3 guys show up during a rainstorm with an open trailer with multiple other countertops (probably old ones being removed since the sinkhole was already cut out). They brought the countertops in and they looked fine at that time. Problem was supposed to be that the cabinets were not leveled so they loaded them back upon to the trailer and left. Contacted my contractor and had him to come back out. It was not my cabinets so I rescheduled the installation for the following week. The following week a different 2 man crew came out and started the install process again. In the middle of their installation, I came to look at the countertops and noticed that there were 2 faded areas. One area looks like water streaks where water (or something) ran down it and the other area looks like where another countertop may have been leaning on it and there was a sink hole cut out. It almost a perfect square. I mentioned it to the installers and he said that he will clean it off after finishing the installation. He tries to get the faded spots out afterwards and they will not come out. He took picture of them and contacted his manager immediately and told me that someone would be in touch within the next few day about correcting it. After a week of nothing, I attempted to contact someone with F&D about it to no avail (not even at corporate). I then attempted to contact the 3rd party, Granco. That also went nowhere. I then attempted to dispute the charges for the countertop where I used the F&D credit card (Synchrony) and my dispute with them has been denied. First they do have a dispute team but you cannot speak with them or see what they are considering when making their decisions. Then they state that I will be receiving a letter with more details about how they came to their decision. I have yet to receive this letter since 6/11/2024. A Synchrony CS Rep told me it was due to F&D's warranty that is stipulated once you pay for your purchase and is printed on a mile long register receipt. As stated on the receipt: 'Custom orders are final sales and non-refundable. Special orders can only be canceled without penalty prior to shipment.' Further down on the same receipt it also states: 'Installed Merchandise Policy Thoroughly inspect and measure all products before installation as use will constitute acceptance.' Keep in mind I had not even made a sandwich of this countertop at the time it was installed. I also inspected it the first time it was delivered and it was fine. My opinion...I believe that the 3rd party left it on the trailer when they took it back with them the first time out. That weekend it rained a lot and then the sun would come out and it was hot when it did. It did this the entire weekend. So by the time they came back out the following week, I believe that it had faded the areas where rain ran down and the area from the sink hole from another countertop and the sun baked in the faded areas. I will be taking this to every website for reviews along with the BBB. Now I'm stuck with a bill for a defected expensive product. read more

I'm a Pro-customer and this store in Kennesaw has changed his procedures recently for orders pick up. They wasted our time. Today one of my employees went there to pick up a customer's order and they didn't give it to him because I didn't assign him as the pick up person. This was a $55 order!!!! My phone is always there in the orders. They used to call me and I just authorized the pick up. This is what the other stores from Floor and Decor do. This was not a good experience for me. I dont know the atmosphere here because i have never visited this establishment. I am planning to remodel my bathroom and was in search of a nice tile for my floor and shower. I usually go to Homedepot or Lowe's, but after searching the web I came across the perfect tile. I took a photo of the tile and decided to go to the store to purchase a sample for my installer in order to get the amount needed. After entering the store i saw an associate at the front and showed him a picture of the tile i was looking for and if he could show me. He just pointed in a direction and atated that all tiles in the size i was looking for where there. I glanced in the direction and asked again and then he said do you see where this certain gentleman came from, i said yes and he said what i was looking for would be over there. I walked to the area in question and i did find one tile selection but not the other. I saw another associate, and when i addressed him to ask for help he quickly stated ina monotone voice that he was helping someone else right now. This experience did not make me feel welcomed at all and noone was helpful to me in my opinion. If this is a place where i am supposed to find things without assistance there should be a self- service sign at the entrance. I did see tiles i liked, but o may go elsewhere. You need to heavily review everything with your purchase. The stores don't follow their own policies. I've had issues every time I've interacted with Floor & Decor. If you are a homeowner, pay online, and have it delivered to your house, not condo, I don't think you'll have any issue. If not, triple clarify everything or just buy from Home Depot. I have never had an issue with Home Depot's customer service. They are very clear even when I ask detailed questions. First I purchased floors from Kennesaw in person and when they were ready, their system kept texting me that my pickup window was cancelled even though it was within the window to be picked up. When I called asking what was the issue with my order, I was told nothing was wrong and I could come whenever to pick it up - no deadline. I asked why I received notifications that is was cancelled and she wouldn't answer the question. She kept saying just come whenever I wanted despite their 7 day policy. Days later I had the floors delivered through Floor and Decor service and I was told specific instructions on what they would and would not do with the delivery. I told her 3x it was a condo and I asked if there was an issue. She said it was fine. I paid with my credit card, not debit as I did with original purchase, over the phone. Once the delivery arrived, the driver was surprised that they allowed it. He wasn't supposed to deliver anywhere inside so apparently no condos and they hadn't communicated he would have to move my delivery. It would have had to be left on the street. He asked me multiple times what instructions I provided to her. There was back and forth with his company on how they were going to handle this. Over a month and a half later, I returned the unused product to the Kirkwood location, not the original location as this one was closer to me. For whatever reason they split the return - one to the card I paid for the floors and the other for the delivery. It is how the system automatically split it which still does not make sense. When I called customer service they transferred me to the location which would not allow me to solve it over the phone. Female customer service, Hannah (?) kept saying I had to come to the store with both receipts. I told them they could look up the original purchases online since they had both cards and she said said they couldn't look up orders over the phone. The central Customer service had just looked up the order with the order number less than a minute before which I communicated to her. I drove 40 minutes to the original location per the store only for the manager, who was not at fault, to tell me they couldn't do anything and to get in touch with my bank. The first two customer service representatives could have said that so I could have saved the trip. Why they saved a card on file which was not associated with the actual floor purchase did not make sense. It was a separate delivery purchase with a receipt coming from actual provider - text messaged. I can't find anything emailed from Floor and Decor on a receipt - emailed or provided in person (ask for one in case). It also didn't make sense for their system to split a refund. Typically a customer asks for that. There is a huge disconnect in their execution. read more

Update: I received a call from the store who made the situation right above and beyond what I expected. I will be happy to do business with them again. I ordered roughly 3500 square feet of floor that cost me $22,000 and at the store I said, "Can this be delivered and placed in my garage?" The store assured me it could be done. I filled out a form on specifics of my driveway and space, etc. I received a call a few days prior to my floor being shipped and I again double checked that everything was a go for the delivery to be placed into my garage and I was reassured that this would occur. The delivery company called me the day before the delivery and I again re-confirmed that my delivery would be placed into my garage. The driver showed up 1 hour late and came in a 40 foot semi-truck. He then told me that he would not even pull into my driveway as this was against their "policy". He unloaded my floor on the street in front of my house which weighed approximately 4 tons with no way to get it up my driveway approximately 50 yards to my garage. Half-way through, the battery on his palate lift died and my Dad and I had to help him unload the remaining pallets one individual box at a time on the remaining pallets. It was that or he would have to schedule a different time to re-deliver the remaining pallets we were told. One of the pallets only had one restraint on it holding the 40+ boxes which was cutting into the boxes as they were not secured properly. Many of the ends of the individual boxes were ripped open as well at the ends. My Dad and I ended up having to carry the boxes up my uphill driveway 50 yards to place all 4 tons into my garage and this took the rest of the day. I called the store and expressed my frustration given that I filled out a form to give details for the delivery, confirmed multiple times regarding my delivery being placed into my garage, the driver was late and refused to pull into my driveway let alone deliver my floor to the appropriate location, the driver's equipment died and required my further assistance to unload my floor, a pallet was broken with inadequate restraints for securing the boxes, and then to ultimately have to hand carry my $22,000 floor up my driveway by hand myself. The store offered me a partial refund on the delivery fee despite me asking for a full delivery charge refund. This experience is not what I paid for. This wasn't some amazon package. This was solid hardwood weighing 4 tons that cost $22,000. This was unacceptable. As if the pricing weren't incentive enough (every project so far has come out cheaper with better product), I've done two projects where the staff are actually helpful and knowledgeable. This isn't your typical big box store. Let me tell you my personal story. We were headed for vacation with the plan that contractors would rough in some plumbing while we were gone. I had been to pick up supplies for a new bathroom the day before. As I'm getting the bathroom ready for contractors I notice I picked up the wrong size shower pan, potentially throwing off the whole project. We're drilling into concrete so there are no second takes. It's 6:45, I'm 20 minutes from the store and I drive like a bat out of hell and hope they have mercy on me. I pull up at 7:05 and sure enough, one of the attendants, Ryan, unlocked the door and takes pity on my sob story. Worst customer service experience I have ever had. I'm not one to write bad reviews but I feel this is a must. I have had great experiences in the past purchasing, however buyer beware if you ever need to return there product. We floored our entire house from this store 15 years ago and it was time to replace floors again. The product was great but the customer service was sub-par and the return policy did not work for us as I was within the 90 day policy. Also NEVER PURCHASE IN THIS STORE IF ITS RAINING because you will get stuck with product if you need to return! Never in my life have I had a return experience like this one, I was floored. I paid $205 dollars for delivery to my home they delivered the product with a moffit the three wheel machine that attaches to a semi. I was expecting it to come with a guy and a pallet jack so it could be placed in my garage at my home. Well that didn't happen because the machine was massive and could not fit through my garage door. Now I'm told they deliver with a pallet jack lucky me I guess. Well the product was delivered to my home December 17 and installed Christmas Eve as we are expecting our fifth child and had to add an edition to our home an extra bedroom and bathroom and wanted everything to look the same. Well the pallets were shrink wrapped from the factory and I tarped them but they were to heavy to pick up and I had surgery scheduled for Dec 27th. well I was unable to return any sooner because of complications however I was well within my 90 day return policy. So I finally had time in my busy schedule so I said I need to make this happen now that my doctor has released me to lift things and our baby girl will be here on the 21st. So I loaded up the 100%water proof luxury vinyl flooring in my van to return to the store when I removed tarp and went to remove shrink wrapping moisture had gotten trapped in the shrink wrap making the boxes slightly moist as they are cardboard but the product was not damaged at all and is 100% waterproof. But the boxes had a little moisture. I arrived to the store and carefully placed on a cart and went inside and asked the cashier if I should take My product To the return desk and she very rudely let me know she was the only cashier available on Saturday at 5:00PM ok no problem. She asked for my number and my receipt came right up we spent almost $6,000 to re-floor the upstairs, however I forgot to deduct basement flooring from the equation with everything going on in my life, silly me. So with that said I ordered a complete pallet to much but kept 6 boxes in case I ever need some needed for a repair and brought 28 boxes to the store. They were very rude and embarrassed me in front of frustrated customers as they were understaffed and refused to allow me to return my product because the boxes were slightly moist from there delivery service leaving in my driveway. It has rained for the past 3 months and I kept the product tarped but have been recovering from a major surgery. I will illustrate the pictures as I carefully placed on a cart so I would not damage the slightly moist boxes, again slightly moist, not soaking wet, just moist from the rainwater coming up from driveway and being trapped in the shrink wrap. Then the employees took the 28 boxes of product that I carefully loaded onto one cart they started destroying the boxes tossing them and sorting them onto three different carts and told me that they would only take back five boxes. I was like why, they said because these are damp and could have mold spores. I was pretty upset as I had loaded at home unloaded at store and now they are telling me to load it back in my van. I was like no I want to talk to a manager. Well there was no manager on a Saturday he finally called me today was overly nice and told me how he was a lawyer for two years before starting his retail career not being mean but who cares I want to talk about my product then he wanted to give me an education on what I called a sod mover that they delivered my product with and advised me it's called a moffitt again who cares are you going to help me. He was super nice but offered no help said best he could is take back 6 boxes because my product COULD again COULD have mold spores. The product is so tightly packed that is not the case. I will attach pictures of the product after the employees damaged the boxes and tossed from cart to cart sorting the moist from the not moist as the moisture was only really on the boxes on the bottom of pallet and on the edges from being shrink wrapped, but Even after they man handled them they were still not to bad to return in my opinion. So now I'm faced with do I just let this go or take them to small claims court? This whole experience has been absolutely RIDICULOUS and moving forward I will go else where in the future based on my horrible experience. It's a real nice place.. it's very clean inside and the employees up front are very helpful.. as far as the loading dock in the back, they are very efficient but tilts a little bit confusing as to what to do when you pull up to there loading docks.. no big deal really but it would be nice if they would post a sign on there door maybe, stating that you better get your butt inside so that they will fill the order that you already paid for in front of the store. VAST INVENTORY, HELPFUL EMPLOYEES! I came to this particular store to see if their inventory was different from what I have seen in my local store. Here is what you need to know: when the inventory is depleted or discontinued, new items are introduced. So, it is good to check back often if you are looking for something specific. I really appreciated seeing all of the NEW products displayed at the front of the store and clearly marked. I actually found a new flooring option here that I had not seen before so it was a worthwhile trip. Also, before you go, you will want to do your research to decide on the specific features you want in your tile, rectified vs pressed, glossy vs, matte, planks vs squares. This will help you to narrow your focus because this store is huge and there is just so much to see. It is so much easier when you can just target specific products. Toward the front of the store, they have their products staged in mini bathrooms so that you can see the products in use. They will give you great ideas about using the various materials and accents in your own space. Floor and Decor offers free design services but I would not even bother with these until I have selected all of my desired materials and I'm ready to complete the picture and make sure that I haven't forgotten anything. If you ask for assistance before you are ready, you run the risk of someone actually having too much input into YOUR plan or you are unsure of the questions you need to ask, in my opinion. My advice is to avoid "rushing the process" and take your time because I have been working on this for at least a month and it just takes a lot of time to make sure that all of your materials are going to give you an attractive and cohesive outcome. You just want to make sure that you are making the best decision because you do not want to have to rip up a floor, or demolish a shower wall once it has been installed. So, take a deep breath and prepare to make several trips and spend lots of time pondering. Don't forget to purchase samples of your favorite materials so that you can check them against you decor and other materials to see if they will work in your space. Floor and Decor in Kennesaw is a DISASTER. On November 9, 2021 my wife drive to the F&D location, picked out flooring, gave our address, and obtained an appointment for November 16. On November 15, Faria Flooring called us to confirm they were coming the next day. When they did not show up by the end of the day we called and left a message. The call has not been returned in a week. Faria Flooring is a sub-contractor under Installation Made Easy which is a sub-contractor if Floor and Decor. Had we known that we would be dealing with a sub-contractor of a sub-contractor of Floor and Decor we would not have entered into a contract with Floor and Decor. If we had known that Floor and Decor would claim that "we are not affiliated with Installation Made Easy (as they did say to me) we would not have contracted with them. If we had known that the sub-sub-contractors would not come to Waleska (Cherokee County), we would not have contracted with them. My wife was so frustrated with the F&C incompetence that she gave up. I took over trying today - November 23. I called to speak with the manager. "He is not in today, he is in South Carolina". So I explained to the F&C Flooring rep. She said that it's an IME problem and transferred me. No one ever picked up. So, I called back, explained to the next F&D rep. He said he would go get the IME rep, but he hung up the phone. I called back, spoke to Angela or Andrea who said she would go get a different IME rep. Ten minutes later no one had come on the line so I called and asked for an assistant manager and spoke with John. He said he would call the manager and call me right back. Someone did. At F&D there is a chart that says ",$1.99 sq ft installation". The man who called quoted $4.67 sq ft Installation! In other words, he didn't want to come to Waleska, but would for an extra $770.00!
