For example,one that stands out was my need for certain types of wood boring drill bits. I purchased a set that ended up so dull they wouldn't cut through wet cardboard. However,that didn't discourage me from using them as a valuable resource. Recently I was taking down a new pool filter that I'd never cleaned before. The drain was a large 4" PVC cap that I had nothing in the tool box that would open it . Initially I headed for Home Depot when it occured to me,Harbor Freight may have a more cost effective solution. Bingo! Not only did the " oil filter" wrench for $9.99 do the trick but,it was invaluable when I reassembled the filter housing and needed a certain leverage on the clamp. This gives me confidence that if you shop smart with an idea of the outcome you need, Harbor Freight is likely to have a low priced solution.

The manager and sales associate both suggested that I ask the person who gave it to me to provide the receipt. I could not believe they would ask me to do that. This was the return of a small flashlight that looked like a lantern. I was returning it within 6 days from Christmas. I was not asking for cash, just a simple exchange. I came back to return items they automatically accused me of stealing, their reasoning because I didn't have a receipt. They also have a wide selection of welding and metal working tools. Fulton's also deals in used steel sold by the pound, including sections of metal, tanks, panels, and whatever else they can come up with. I've even seen on old lathe for sale by the pound there. Unfortunately you have to pay for the convenience of not driving to Metal Sales in Gainesville or R & R in Muenster. Most of their new metal is 30-40 cents/ft higher than Metal Sales. They still beat buying angle iron at Home Depot, and their used material selection is great, especially if you need a 5 or 10 ft of something.

He doesn't usually shop alone, but we needed an edger and I didn't feel well. The store sent multiple texts stating that our 2-item order was ready, but only the fuel was available when he got there. So the manager offered him what would have been a pretty good deal on a different edger, then wiped all that benefit out by talking him into getting the excessive warranty!! We live solely on Social Security, so it doesn't take much to swallow our discretionary income. Taking advantage of the elderly really sucks!!! I'm planning on reporting this to AARP as well.
