I walk up 2 min before closing and the older guy with white hair refused to unlock the door and stood there looking the other way as I was telling him it's only 6:58 and refused to open the door. I understand that business hours say they close at 7 and I was going to be respectful of their time since my ONE item I needed was literally next to the door. Update: Upgrading my rating from 1 to 4 Stars. I went to the store, met with the manager and explained in-person what happened. Manager was Awesome, very appologetic and is currently looking into the situation. Based on the very positive interaction, I have changed my rating. Concerning the repair, I left with my inoperative edger, went home and found that the shaft had come loose from the gear assembly, once I put it back in the correct position, it works like new! 20 second repair job, no parts needed. Original review: Customer service once was good but not any more. I have been loyal to this local business since it opened...but now that will change. Today I called about an edger that I dropped off last week for repairs and was told by a young man (who is very hard to understand) that I would need to come down in person to find out anything about it. I was told that this had to be done in person only. I then asked to speak to the manager and after being on hold, I was told the manager left for the day and I would have to call back tomorrow. As I was asking to speak to someone else, the young man cut me off and started to argue, I asked him to shut up so I could finish speaking...he then hung up on me. I guess I will have to go in tomorrow...to grab my stuff and that will be my last visit. read more

I love Ace Hardware. It is significantly smaller than the big box stores and therefore more personable. The staff are uber friendly and helpful. They don't walk past you without asking if they can help. They are knowledgeable and I don't have to walk all over the store trying to find out who works there for help, only to realize that "it's not their department". The cashiers are friendly, and they make you feel like you are a regular, even if it is your first time there. I like having a limited quantity of the essential things I might need from garden, to pluming, key services, paint, cleaning supplies, hand and power tools, hardware, electrical, and so much more. I'm always amazed that I can find everything that I am looking for. read more

Had a really poor experience here. I bought some Christmas tree decorations and decided when I got home that they didn't go with what I have already. I brought them back just to be told that I could only get store credit, and that I also had to keep my receipt to use said store credit. No gift card or e-receipt option so if I happened to lose the receipt I would lose the money. I asked the cashier why no one told me that this was their policy when I purchased the items and another male associate rudely chimed in "it's on your receipt." I get that each Ace store can create their own policies but this just seems shady and unnecessary. They are obviously not centered around customer service and need the money so badly that they purposely evade informing customers about their weird return policy. Never heard of a policy like this. We went in some time later to stock up on items so we can use the store credit with zero intention of returning. I'll happily drive to the other one in St. Cloud as their employees are much more pleasant and the store does not need to use sleazy policies in order to stay in business. read more

This store may or may not have more employees staffed at any given time than the others I've been to, but the employees at this store certainly make themselves available to customers in the store. They kindly help to locate items and provide suggestion on products, which gives me a better experience than when I'm at the big box stores looking for tools or paint. read more

Ace hardware... They say Ace is the place. Well let's see how they are and five stars today this is the new location in Lake Nona at the corner of 417 and Narcoossee Road, right next to the 7-Eleven. Now the fact that it is very conveniently located unfortunately The parking lot is somewhat less inconvenient, but I'll get more of that later. So, let's talk about my latest venture out and my first visit to this brand-new Ace Hardware. Well I live in the wonderful neighborhood of Laurie at the park, someone of a limited mental capacity apparently designed most of the sprinkler systems in our neighborhood. With that being said I was out yet again to replace parts for broken sprinkler heads. this wasn't a terribly difficult one I just needed to get a cap with a 180 spray maximum 8 feet... The neighbors lawn service keeps hitting this thing and it keeps breaking, hence the cement down at rings to go around them now. With that being said it's not exactly especially item, but I wouldn't find it at Walmart either so, it was time to see if ace was indeed the place. As with most Ace Hardware is I've been out in the past I was promptly greeted as soon as I walked in the door. I had the sprinkler head in question in my hand and the gentleman ran right over said I assume we need some parts and follow me down to the area. He got me the exact That I needed cleaned it out replaced it and me the bag with the old parts in it and my sprinkler head but the parts replaced it and in two minutes I had left the store. Well there you go, that's how you get five stars from an elite yelped!! Start out strong and a brand-new location and a great and growing area and then top it off with good prices and darn good service. It's five stars all the way. Home Depot is just too far away from him for me and my lazy booty, so I hope that this would be a fruitful journey into this new location. I'm glad I stopped in but allow me to address the parking issue I mentioned. The parking lot is shared, although they have designated parking for Ace Hardware, with a 7-Eleven and a preschool. The preschool usually is no problem whatsoever so no concern there however the Ace Hardware is at the entrance for the 7-Eleven lots of traffic turning in and out do not, I repeat do not park directly in front of the store if you're going to back out because you may be sitting there if you want to back in, you'll have a much easier time departing. I would suggest parking opposite the front doors on the flipside or on the side of the building. It's not a huge deal, but I did get stuck behind a tractor trailer for several minutes when I wanted to leave yeah I know #FirstWorldProblems So if you're in the area, check it out. I think you'll be pleasantly please and it's so nice to have an Ace Hardware in the neighborhood. I can't stress enough the prices really are no worse or better than Lowes or Home Depot and you're very likely to get some local service because they are locally owned. #OrlandoGrown read more

My son have fill chlorine at the store in Lake Nona (11678 Narcoossee Rd) on 8/22/22 when he get home one of the jugs the cap was broken so therefore it spill all over my son trunk damaged his carpet. today I just got back from out of town and brought it back to exchange for a different one and the manager said I have to buy a new jugs. Number one is not our jugs that's damaged it's their, cause when we bring it to get refilled they gave us a different jugs that's not our, now they said he had to buy a new jug . if it's our jugs dama no problem but it's not our so why am I have to buy a new one. very bad customer service that I won't recommend anyone to go there. read more

If you are female DO NOT GO HERE The older men who work here will follow you and constantly harass you. I tried 4 separate times- months apart- to shop here and every time the same guy would follow me around. He would first ask if u needed help. Then if you declined he would simply ignore you and try to start a conversation. No matter how many times i asked him to leave he got closer. While I waited for my dad to finish shopping on the other side of the store he stalked me for the entire time. He has Done this to a few of my family members as well. Mind you they are underaged and he was doing this same thing to them. I wish i knew his name but please just avoid here. You will save yourself a lot of trouble by going 2 more min up the road to Home Depot. read more

As with every other Ace Hardware store I've been to, customer service is top-notch here. But what sets this store ahead of the pack is that they actually help you find what you're looking for. Don't get me wrong, they don't always have someone out front to greet and help, but when they do then expect it. I've never spent more than a minute shopping here and I'm here at least once a week. I don't know if there are others that frequent this place as much as I do but I'm sure they agree with my observation. The only weird thing is that they don't remember me for as much as I'm there. After buying a stilh weedeater about 6 months ago and saying that it was under warranty for the next 12 months. After bringing it with a broken handle and they acknowledge the service and warranty. At pickup customer servixe charged for the service accusig me of intent to damage. Store has below standards client service. BE aware of Manager and service representative not honoring any warranty. It's very apparent this staff doesn't know how to treat customers, especially in emergency situations. Last hurricane they were screaming at customers and being very rude, but they had just opened and I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they weren't equipped to handle it. I pulled into the parking lot today, expecting to wait until they opening about 30 minutes later, and was immediate greeted by an employee standing at the door waving his arm and shaking his head, shooing me away (I'm still inside of my car, with the car running by the way). I've never known a business to literally tell people "no don't come here." I went inside for the first time yesterday and was immediately greeted at the door. The gentleman asked what I needed and took me directly there, whereas most areas would just point you in the right direction....or area of what you are looking for. He went above and beyond ensuring I had everything I needed and when finished handed me over to the other employee at the checkout counter. I was impressed with the service and friendly demeanor. I gave a 5 star rating to Ace Hardware Lake Nona in the past. I've shopped at this store for four years. The past is the past! I purchase eight barrel nuts but found that they didn't fit the IKEA bolts that I needed them for. When I returned them,Allison, who identified herself as the manager, said that one of them was mine and not from the store. I showed her the receipt indicating the purchase. She still argued that they weren't from her store. I had to show her the bin that I bought them from and the item. I also purchase Velcro which did not stick when applied to the surface- one indicated for that use. She said "The package is opened you can't return it." My reply was "It doesn't stick. How was I to know that if I didn't open the package?" Her reply "It's opened I you can't return it" Customer service 0 of 5. Dear owner. I want to let everyone know to avoid Ace Hardware stores in Lake Nona. Ace Hardware Lake Nona 11768 Narcoossee Rd, Orlando, FL This store conducts their business in a predatory manner and they are taking advantage of Hurricane victims.This store did not make the public aware that any purchases made during a period which they deemed "hurricane" are non-returnable. it was not marked on the receipt, and apparently people are to understand, through osmosis, what items are returnable or not returnable. I purchased two simple drill bits to be used on a home improvement project and they were the wrong size. The items were unopened and unused. The store manager, who was very arrogant and rude (who's name was Jess) refused to return the merchandise. The store owner's name is Nigel Attong (per Jess) and he also owns this store: Ace Home and Supply Center - 7848 W Irlo Bronson Hwy, Kissimmee, FL Let's show them that you can't screw over the community. These drill bits can't be more than $15, but it's a matter of principle. Please, take your business to Home Depot or Lowes, and let's hope the new Lowe's puts them out of business. Never Use Lake Nona's ACE Hardware and interact with Assistant Manager STEVE, here is why; on 3/12/2019 I decided to call the store because I needed to make a decision about my lawn edger due to its struggle to start. Since I had to repair or purchase a new edger, I wanted to find out from ACE what was needed to take a look at my edger before deciding. The person that answered the phone told me that in order for them to take a look at it that it would be $30, they would call me in a few days to tell me what was needed to be done to it, then 'if' I decided to fix it then my $30 would apply to the final cost of repair. Now my problem with Lake Nona ACE Hardware and Assistant Manager STEVE, I decided to take my lawn edger in for evaluation on 3/13/2019 for the $30. Then, on 3/20/2019 my wife asked me if I'd heard back about the status of our edger, curiously I told her No. So, I drove by and asked Jay (the employee who actually does the service) about my lawn edger and after he searched through a stack of papers that seemed to be work orders for customers with other pieces equipment needing service. Jay told me, after taking my work order sheet of paper from near the bottom of the pile, "you are next in line", huh! Then, on 3/23/2019, my wife called since our lawn started to look un-manicured, once got someone on the phone she let the person who answered know that she was concerned because we had yet to hear anything about our lawn edger. They told her that they would find out what was going on and someone would call us back, that callback never happened! Then, on 3/27/2019, STEVE called and left me a voicemail letting me know that they were 'finish' with my lawn edger. My first thought was, "how could they be finish with my edger when no one called me to approve any repairs', because we were still in the decision stage of buying versus repairing. So, after borrowing a neighbor's edger while without our edger, I went by ACE on 4/2/2019 to pick up the edger to find out I had an additional $40.28 added to the cost of repair of an old edger. Before I paid it, I felt compelled to let the management at ACE Hardware Lake Nona know the flaw in their process when providing this service to customers. STEVE was the person they called to the front of the store to speak with me. I told STEVE my concern that no one called me before they repaired my edger and his solution was..." we can take all the parts out that we put in it and give it back to you not working because it wasn't cranking when you gave it to us". After looking at him confused and telling him that he must not have cared to hear anything I just said, I told him that his response was very upsetting. One, because they did not give me the opportunity to make decision on if I wanted to take that additional $40.28 and put it towards a brand-new lawn edger which more than likely would have been purchased from that store. With my frustration and STEVE's lack of caring, I asked STEVE; "if my neighbor asks me where to take their lawn equipment should I say NOT to Lake Nona ACE Hardware because they will just charge you without asking if you wanted the service or not?" STEVE started to change his tune and point the blame with excuses, that frustrated me more so I paid that money and stormed out unhappy. I was unhappy because being an 18 year resident of the Lake Nona area, I wanted to used the smaller community retailer to support outside of the big box store but Lake Nona ACE will not get any more of my support and I will surely let those who consider using this store and service know that they should reconsider Lake Nona ACE Hardware as an option because they will treat you how they want to treat you not how you should be, especially STEVE! read more
