We used to love shopping at Ace however, when my husband went in today to look at drill bits, he had a young lady who worked there come past him, asked if he needed help and he politely declined. He pulled up Harbor freight on his phone and saw that they had different drill bits. So he put them back on the shelf and he was going to go there to get it instead. He went across the store to look at some other items at Ace and the same lady came over there and accused him of stealing the drill bit??? Congratulations you have lost a customer. read more

We recently purchased an Ego blower trimmer kit. The cost was _300+ dollars. The product is really good, we like it a lot. The trimmer started turning off during use, so we took it up to exchange it. We had our warranty paperwork , receipt etc. Long story short, we received terrible customer service we were at 32 days they refuse to do anything for us they didn't apologize they didn't say hi on the manager how can I help you no common courtesy whatsoever we will never buy another thing from Ace hardware. read more

This is the best hardware store in town, hands down! They have everything you could possibly need, even ski gear! Family owned and operated.

Today, I went to Easton Hardware to buy some plexi glass. I took a piece in with me and the man said he had the glass and would cut me two pieces. I waited and waited for at least a half an hour and he sent the finished piece to the cashier with someone else. He only cut one piece and the side was all jagged. The cashier called the manager over and he told me that he would not help me and said I should leave. I have been shopping at this store since I moved to Lawton last year. I went to Lowe's and had the glass cut and found out that the guy at Easton had cut the piece too big and all jagged. I will never go back to Easton Hardware and I hope they go out of business in the near future. I did not do anything wrong. It was the guy that helped me and I was asked to leave. read more

On Tuesday, my girlfriend and I visited Eastons Ace Hardware to buy a couple of small pieces of hardware. More specifically, two 8 inch clothes line hooks. Let me start by saying this store is very expensive compared to Lowes, Home Depot, and even Sutherlands. But since we were on the west side of Lawton, we figured let's just run in and get what we need here. The parking lot was totally empty, as usual, aside from probably the employee's vehicles. Anyways, we got into the store and decided to look at the flags and accessories. Anyways, not seeing anything interesting, we went to look at solar spotlights. This is where the leeches with attitudes starting appearing. We saw no lights that we liked so decided to just get the hooks and then leave. On our way to the hardware aisle, the first person asked what we were looking forward and we told her that we were looking. Once again, "well, what are you looking for" came and we told her we got the hooks. We went to check out and the cashier, while ringing us up looked and said that the hooks only came with one nut and because there was two on it, she said someone must have been "messing" around. I told her that ALL the hooks has two nuts on them, at which time she proceeded to look the item up, saying something along the lines that we were trying to take a 9 cent nut. After she looked it up, she said, that it did come with two nuts and that she was just checking. More or less, she was trying to say that we were trying to steal the nut. How rude is that. We almost just told her to cancel the transaction, but finished it anyways. One other time we went in to get a cap to "plug" off a water line. When attempting to describe what I needed, "A 2 inch threaded cap to plug a water pipe" the person helping me looked as if I was speaking some long-forgotten language. I ended up finding it myself after I was told that they did not have what I needed. It was maybe 3 feet down from where he was looking. Anyways, to make a long story short, it is hard to believe that the store is still open and the quality of customer service and employee knowledge is very lacking. We will not shop here again, and will battle the traffic and distance to get to Lowes, Home Depot, etc, as the selection, prices, and overall customer service is better. read more
