The store is laid out nicely with things grouped by topic. It is easy to find things and not overly crowded. They have small appliances, cookware, some food items, books, plates, candles and other housewares that are primarily kitchen related. The prices are not cheap but the quality is very nice. They have some cook books and some fun books for kids that may be interested in cooking or food. They have cocktail mixes, steak rubs, some sauces, etc. They have kitchen items like spatulas, measuring spoons, etc. in different patterns. You may find something you didn't realize you needed before. They have practical items like glasses, dishes, silverware, napkins etc. also. It would be a good place to shop for a gift or just to treat yourself. read more

I have bought several things at the store. I purchased a 10 inch skillet and a larger sauce pan Williams Sonoma brand. I've owned them for approximately 3 to 4 years and on the tenant skillet the nonstick is peeling off. I have always use the proper tools with the skillet. I called the store to ask what I could do and they told me to throw the pan away there is no guarantee and they did not stand behind the pan. I purchased it from a high-end store thinking I would get a high-end product but very disappointed. They were no help to the situation whatsoever. If I were to buy pans again, I would buy them from Costco at least they stand behind what they sell. I would accept the warranty information except when they said to throw the pan away it seemed very uncaring that the store would even say that to a customer. read more

The service at this store has really gone downhill. Nobody wants to be helpful. After a bad incident with a cashier I asked to speak to a manager and clearly she didn't care either because she didn't offer to resolve my issue. It will be a long time before I shop at this store again. read more

Okay so It feels like people who give good reviews here are either super rich and have ton of money to burn... or never heard of internet shopping. Today i went into this store because i received a very very undesirable wedding gift from a friend. Because our friend was not present we could only get store credit. We thought, "sure! we can totally find stuff we want in a shop like this!" As I was looking around, I found several items that i previously bought online marked up for 200-300% at this store. For example i bought a instant pot DUO plus 6 quart for 55 dollars on amazon prime day (currently priced at 89.99 at amazon), but at this store it was priced at $119.99. Is this some kind of a joke? Same for other products like OXO cooking tools that usually goes for $10 dollars online were priced at $20+... I had my phone in one hand and started price checking on every product and realize you can get everything in the store for ~30-50% off online. This is just blatant gouging... In the end, we just ended up walking out of this place and told our friend that he should just get a full refund into his credit card. Bottom line is that you are better off checking the products here and doing the purchase online. Unless of course you are super rich and love being gouged. read more

I find myself here at least once a month. Sometimes it's for something small. Sometimes it's for something not so small. And no, this store isn't cheap. The retail prices can take your breath away. (HINT: figure out what you want, and then watch for sales, which can be HUGE.) But I get things here I cannot get on the Amazon -- expert advice and the ability handle the product before I make the investment. I've been shopping (or wandering through while expressing deep sighs of desire) at W-S for 30+ years, in Baltimore, and San Francisco and Honolulu and now Tucson. In the past, it could sometimes be quite snooty. But something has shifted at W-S in the last year or so -- customer service, perhaps driven by customer reviews. I now get surveys after each and every purchase asking how so-and-so did in meeting my needs. My experience of late is that almost always, so-and-so did a GREAT job (and sometimes it's a whole team of so-and-so). I've been amazed at the level of service I now receive every time I walk in the store. If I didn't, I don't think I'd be back. Each and every saleswomen I've spoken with (and they have so far all been women) are individuals who use the equipment they're selling. They can talk about it, talk about alternatives, talk about their experience with the object in question (or something like it), and about what they, personally, do or don't like about it. I've discovered that this makes a huge difference for me. The tools they sell here are not cheap. Having the opportunity to talk about the tool I'm contemplating with people who use and understand the product, who also have to scrimp and save to get the tools they value and understand the cost, has been invaluable. It's a bit of an "okay, I think this will be worth it" feeling and thankfully, it has been exactly that for nearly everything I buy there. So no. Not cheap. But good tools never are. Worth a visit if you're looking for pro-grade equipment and excellent advice. read more

I love this store! Every time I set foot in this store it makes me want to become a better cook! I've gotten most of my appliances from here I LOVE my waffle maker great for sunday morning brunch with friends =) When I couldn't make it to a sprinkles cupcake shop I would come here and buy the red velvet mix and bake it just to satisfy my craving for red velvet =) I just recently purchased the Le Creuset pots and pans (Julia Childs watch your back I'm coming for ya) I'm basically in heaven. I do want to eventually try their cooking classes, if i do in the future I will probably write an update. Too bad we don't have a Williams-Sonona home furniture store, I would just be beside myself if Tucson ever got that store! read more

Williams Sonoma is THE PLACE to shop (or to dreamily window shop) for kitchen accessories and a plethora of epicurean cooking items, every type of coffee maker under the sun, as well as gourmet food products (when money is not an object)... They are nothing shy of brilliant at merchandising and marketing! First they tempt you by doing 'in-house' demonstrations, and giving out samples of the amazing foods you can "easily" prepare at home- if only you have a set of their cookware and the right utensils. I'm not being cynical, this is just how it's done in the world of retail genius. To their credit, they have raised the bar in retail. Most stores should strive to be half this clever of marketers. The Gods of retail perfection have created a perfect recipe with Williams Sonoma. This profitable recipe is completed with inviting displays- currently one depicting the appeal of comfort foods- (see photo), as well as a few others (probably inspired by Martha Stewart) and various cookbooks strewn about to make you aware of your ineptitude in the kitchen. In marketing, they call this "problem/solution." The problem is- you are a lousy cook. Not saying you are, but just in case... But- alas, do not fret, the solution is (Williams Sonoma to the rescue)- if you shop at Williams Sonoma, you could be the next Emeril Lagasse or Barefoot Contessa! Successfully and succinctly subliminal they are. Okay, truth be told- I really do love this store- (and Martha Stewart I definitely am not). It's fun to come here and browse, and maybe get a sample of what they are brewing or cooking for the day. Keep in mind- a lot of the things you can buy here, you can buy elsewhere for much less. It just takes a bit of creativity, ingenuity, and some leg work. Not going to name names of alternative lower priced places, as this is a review for Williams-Sonoma. Suffice it to say (at least for me), this is a fun place to come for ideas, and if you have the disposable income, the desire to pay more, OR BOTH- of course- Williams Sonoma is the go to place to stock up on everything you need for your own dream kitchen! read more

Sigh... That's all I can do when thinking of this place. The smell, look, and feel of this place reminds me why I love fall and winter. I love walking in and smelling whatever heavenly thing they are "demonstrating". It makes me feel at home. Seeing all the beautiful colors and baked goodies of Thanksgiving and Christmas. SIgh. I went in here last night to get a gift for a mentor of mine. I wandered around looking at all the beautiful items that I cannot afford. One day I fully plan to own an entire Le Creuset set, but until then this is window shopping at its best. Someday... Anyway. Everyone there was really helpful. I was able to put together a cute Christmas "oven-mit" for a reasonable price. And until I am able to afford that Le Creuset set, it will only get four stars. read more

I love this store. If you need anything from food scales to silicone baking sheets, to the latest Star Wars cookie cutters they have what you need. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've been so in love with cast irons & I owned non-Le Creuset ones gifted to me by my significant other. So today, my daughter & I were off to check out Le Creuset's new release "Nectar" color exclusively sold just at this store. Customer service was mind blowing. Jeni was super-accommodating, even pulling up on the computer the baking tool I was describing bec I don't know the name of it ( the metal scraper). I was gifted with a starter to make sourdough & I needed to find the right materials lol. I even asked her what she thinks about the Le Creuset outlet. She was very honest to say that the outlet prices are slightly cheaper, she heard good things BUT they have old colors, which was problematic for me bec the outlet won't have the color we like, so we went ahead & got ourselves a frying pan & a round pot both in nectar colors! Then Zoe scored the only remaining avocado slicer/corer they have. Lots of good stuff there too-sauces, dips etc. We left the store truly wanting to come back soon. read more

I am truly sorry to have to write this review, because W-S has, up until yesterday, been one of my favorite stores. But this isn't about the store, it is about some of the salespeople. Rude and condescending, especially if you voice a concern, or maybe aren't quite dressed like you belong in their store. Not true about all, mainly the older ladies. Best store I've been to in quite sometime. Very helpful staff and they are quite knowledgeable. Honestly the only thing I do not like is some of the other patrons. So so snobby like gods gift just for walking through the door. Not sure if I was there with the lady who commented below but this woman freaked out at the cashier because she (the customer) burnt her eggs which it looked like she left on the pan she was trying to return! You get what you pay for, folks. and WS has the sweetest range of all the high quality cookware and gadgetry you can imagine. We registered here for our wedding and had the best time ever! My man wanted to go old school and use the hand held scanner and the folks at WS were elated to help us out and walk us through the entire store. We had initially agreed to go in, scan a few items for memory sake and do the rest online, but our experience was so awesome that we ended up scanning items for well over two hours. The customer service is without a doubt 5 out of 5. We were assisted by LJ- she knew every detail about every line. I couldn't possibly imagine being able to retain that much information about so many products. From the pots and pans to allowing us to test knife sets on real fresh food- she gave us her undivided attention. Finding these product lines is easy- they're made available by so many different retailers, but customer service like this, is rare. What can I say about Williams-Sonoma other than it is like Disneyland for the cook in your life. I can spend hours in the tiny store planing, contemplating new meals and finding new tools that I have to have an can't live without. The staff is great, they are super helpful and are always willing to look for items that you know they have hidden in the back. If they do, they bring them out and share, but if they don't they are happy to order them for you. They remember your name, if not, at least your face and what you purchase. I have been purchasing Shun cutlery lately and when ever they get something new and I stop by they remember and share. Good salesmanship of course! But, it is also a service to their customers because I am always happy to wait in line for three hours to ride the magic tea cups or find a new masala spice or working glass. I agree with most who are unhappy with the prices WS has, are they priced higher than most places, yes a little. But, not by much. The products are mostly priced by manufacturers and the prices stay pretty true across the broad. You can buy Le Creuset at Crate and Barrel for the same price, but you certainly can not get the same shades of blue, yellow, or green at the same store. You get the cream of the crop prices for the best products on the market. If you are not into kitchen "stuff" the prices will make you vomit, but if you are obsessed with the rainbow of Le Creuset, Staub or Kitchenaid Mixers, this too will make you happy and send you home with a truckload full of goodies and possibly a dent in to your bank account. They also recently added the Open Kitchen Line which is a WS brand of cookware, utensils, tabletop items that are priced lower than most items in WS but remain the same WS quality. They are trying to compete with everyone else. The items are nice and its a great place to start finding things for your starter or no so busy kitchen. read more

William Sonoma is a cooks heaven...Love it! I must send out kudos to the very informative staff. They are hands on and great personalities. A friend and I were shopping for his mothers birthday the other night. A.J the store manager was incredibly helpful and also wrapped the presents. Adore this store. I love to cook and this is the place for expensive, hard to find products. I'll review the last visit, which was my husband's. He bought me a new Boos block for my birthday. They only had one in stock, in the right size, which was a display, so the clerk took $5 off the price. She offered to order one, but for a birthday you need the present now. He said the service was flawless with the exception of one detail. They pressure you and won't relent trying to get you to apply for their credit card! I'm thinking I need a Wusthof tomato knife, so I'll be shopping there soon. read more

The store is a typical William-Sonoma store. However, most of the staff are rude! They stand around in groups...I think they were working on something, but why it takes two or three people to do whatever it is, I don't know. When you ask for help, they seem annoyed. They are super obnoxious about samples. We were trying to register for wedding gifts and they were so rude to us, we pretty much just wanted to leave. When we were walking around scanning things and discussing which items we wanted, one of the sales associates tried to help us. When we said we were ok, she rolled her eyes and walked off (like we were some kids who were just playing in the store!). Horrible service. read more

As people line up to pay or order while the clerk is handling returns for which a customer has no receipts or credit card, there is not even an acknowledgement of the people waiting or a "this will take me a few minutes" or "be with you as soon as I can". Have been attending the techniques classes which I find very informative. Have purchased related items mentioned and used in the classes. Love having a Williams-Sonoma store here in Tucson. I arrived late this morn for a BBQ class. It was in full swing as I quietly walked up and got a copy of recipes. Noticed a sweet tea recipe in the recipes for the class. Then I noticed a pitcher of iced tea was made and there were tiny sampling cups available. So I filled a small cup to sample the tea. One of the salespeople rushed over to me and said in an annoyed manner, "Those are for AFTER the class!" pulling the pitcher and cups away from me. Thought she was gonna take the sampling cup out of my hand. Wow, startling! With that another class participant came up to get some of the tea, to which the salesperson poured her a glass. Then the salesperson grumbled something about it was for after the class but she'd go ahead and serve it now. Small thing but holy cow, not exactly hospitable since they were covering Southern BBQ. Kinda of ironic. Sometimes the salespeople in these "upper end" stores can be interesting to deal with. read more
