Unfortunately, one of my AC units has never worked properly. Houk came out four different times and gave me a different diagnosis each visit, yet the issue was never resolved. Once the labor warranty expired, I decided to try a smaller local company. I first had Red Star Cooling come out. The technician diagnosed a leaking evaporator coil and gave me a verbal estimate around $1,800 (labor only, since the part was under warranty). However, when the written estimate came through, it had jumped to $2,400. That lack of consistency didn't sit right with me. I then called Christmas Air, explained the situation, and received a straightforward quote over the phone that was actually a bit lower than Red Star's original estimate. They were able to come out the very next day. Denver handled the job, and he was excellent--thorough in confirming the issue, clear in explaining things, and even pointed out a few items to keep an eye on down the road. Professional, polite, and easy to work with. At this point, I'll be using Christmas Air going forward for both HVAC and plumbing

There are some thing that was wrong obviously. However, it could not be identified. I called Christmas air and Keith promptly came out to check out what was going on. He assessed the problem, determined that I needed a new fan motor and put the order in for the part that was needed. Although I couldn't get it fixed on the first day, he reassured me that, a repair would be possible. And then it was several days before the part actually came in and despite some complications eventually all needed parts were available. Now, the caveat is the fact that this company was relentless for allowing me to get as much life out of my 20+ year-old unit as possible. So, although the repair took about a week and several trips from multiple Christmas Air employees, at the end of the day, the team ensured that the problem was resolved, given a fair price, and I was followed up with each step of the way. The previous owners of my home used Christmas Air, which is why I've continued to use them. And thanks to the continual good customer service, I am planning to stay with them for the foreseeable future.

If you've got a large dollar amount repair quote from another company, consider getting a second opinion from Pronto first, don't get scammed just because it's hot outside. Long version: My A/C went out last night and I called first thing in the morning to see if they could come out today given the heat. Not only did they squeeze me in early in the day, the price to inspect the whole system and fix my issue was excellent. Raul explained everything super clearly, and helped me understand my system, what I needed to do to maintain it and save money in the long term. I'd gotten a quote for the A/C issue the week prior that was in excess of 20K for the whole system to be replaced. When Raul came out and inspected it, he told me that he was surprised by that quote, and it would cost less than half of that if he did it. He then walked me though what would need to be done in easy to understand terms and even told me the best time to schedule the work during the slower season for cheaper pricing. The experience was above and beyond what I could've even hoped for, made my day. I've had bad experiences in the past with some of the other larger HVAC companies in Denton, but after working with Raul and Pronto Air, I know I don't have to worry about that anymore and it's such a relief. I can't recommend this company highly enough. You will be very glad you chose to work with them.

Sometimes it can be difficult in Texas to find a repair business that is honest, professional and knowledgable so I was very glad to find Pronto Air through Yelp. I got to know the Rauls a little and immediately signed up for their service plan. In Texas, AC can mean life or death! Seriously, Pronto Air has my highest personal recommendation, As of now, I'm a dedicated customer.

Today I am reviewing the plumbing services. We had an issue with a hot water heater leak. Plumber arrived and had issues with how it was to be repaired. The repair was completed, but the company called and just wanted to send out another plumber (no charge) the next day to double check that all was good. Russell Grimes came, did some minor rearranging of drain, etc to improve safety and efficiency. Explained everything he was doing and why. Walked us through everything. I cannot praise him highly enough and would gladly have him as my plumber for every future visit!! Thank you, Paschal for making sure everything was working well.

During installation, they released the freon in the attic instead of outside. Since then, we've dealt with a noisy capacitor, exposed old wiring, an unstable unit base, and a hole left in the side of our house that caused the City of Fort Worth to reject the installation. It took 11 months for them to return and address the city's concerns. See the photo for the quality of that repair. Two weeks after the one-year warranty expired, a clogged line caused water to flood our upstairs and run through the wall. The secondary line apparently wasn't checked during installation. They blamed the builder from 25 years ago and took no responsibility for testing when they installed. Their solution after another service fee, pay for a membership + $700 to plug the secondary line and install a leak alert. No thanks. We loved the company they purchased, which is why we trusted them. Our experience since has been unprofessional communication, questionable workmanship, and repeated attempts to charge more rather than stand behind their work.
