Absolutely Unacceptable Customer Service I am honestly appalled by the way I was treated at Ace of Vapes East York by an employee named Dalton, who I understand normally works at the West York location. I came into the store for a simple $5 return that had already been approved by a manager approximately a week earlier because the product I was sold was about TWO YEARS expired. While explaining the situation, I mentioned that this unfortunately was not the first expired product I had purchased there. Another item I had previously purchased that was expired was a Frito-Lay product. Since I work for a chip manufacturer I explained that I am very familiar with how the dates on those products work. Instead of simply listening to what I was saying, Dalton proceeded to argue with me about seemingly every single word that came out of my mouth. The entire interaction made me feel as though I was being accused of either lying or not knowing what I was talking about. Dalton then could not locate my purchase and told me that I might have to take the return back to the other location. The problem with that is that when I originally purchased this particular item, I was not offered a receipt and was not asked to enter a phone number, so there was nothing I could have done differently as a customer to make the transaction easier for him to locate. Then I was told that it didn't even look like I had been charged for the item. I knew for a FACT that I had paid for it. I remembered the transaction clearly because it wasn't that long ago. Yet instead of taking a few minutes to thoroughly look into it before telling me I was wrong, I had to stand there while he continued insisting that it didn't appear I had purchased the item. And then, after approximately five minutes of this completely unnecessary back-and-forth, he found the receipt. The item was there. I had paid for it. And the return was processed. So after making me feel like I was lying or somehow trying to get away with something over a FIVE-DOLLAR RETURN, the receipt ultimately confirmed exactly what I had been saying from the beginning. That is what bothers me the most. I completely understand verifying a purchase and following company policy. What I do NOT understand is why a customer needs to be argued with, contradicted repeatedly, and made to feel dishonest while simply trying to return an expired product that the business sold them in the first place especially when management had already approved the return. And let's not lose sight of the biggest issue here: the product was approximately TWO YEARS EXPIRED. This wasn't me changing my mind about something I purchased. I was returning an expired product that should not have been on the shelf for me to purchase in the first place. I wasn't asking for special treatment. I wasn't asking for $50 or $100 back. This entire interaction was over FIVE DOLLARS. I simply expected to walk in, explain that management had approved the return, have the purchase verified, and be treated with basic respect. Instead, what should have been a two-minute interaction became an unnecessarily argumentative and uncomfortable experience. I have been to Ace of Vapes before, which is exactly why this experience was so disappointing. Customers should be able to bring a legitimate concern to an employee without feeling like they are being interrogated or accused of dishonesty. Management seriously needs to address both expired inventory and the way customers are spoken to when they bring these issues to the store. The $5 was never the point. The disrespect was. Edit: I was just informed that I am trespassed/banned, etc., from any and all ace of vapes. So because I was honest in my review and gave my experience, I have been trespassed. Be careful everyone, I was trespassed/banned over a five dollar refund. And they didn't even have the respect to call me and tell me themselves they had to go through a third-party. So I go into store with a 72 dollar item just purchased by me for "wax" purposes only. I was advised by store staff member, "the Seahorse is perfect for that". Today I bring it in, because coil/tip keeps the majority of "wax" in in the coil area and not where it should and supposed to be....in my lungs. NOT happening. And apparently "this" is NOT considered a mechanical issue???? The coil part of item.....is part of the mechanics! Its THE PART. I really love this Vape shop, all the employees are great but they're ALWAYS out of the juices I want or coils. If they're so popular I don't understand why they don't order more. So unfortunately I've had to resort to buying the products from the manufacturer's website. My husband & I have literally spent thousands of dollars in this store & the one by Gabe's. But I will never spend another penny here. I just left the store in West York, were this obnoxious redheaded girl refused to exchange a pack of coils I just bought 5 minutes prior. I hadn't even left the premises, before I noticed that I purchased the wrong kind. To make matters worse, I brought my tank in to show it to her and make sure I was getting the right kind! She agreed that I should get the Atlantis ones, but when I realized that the didn't fit she basically told me that was my problem. $22.00 down the drain! I could understand not exchanging if it wasn't just 5 minutes ago and I'd ever left the property, but that's not the case. This was just poor customer service and I'll never be back. The amount of bad reviews on this business is obnoxious. I've never had a bad experience coming here. The employees are funny and nice, however they're no bullshit people. So don't go in there with a bullshit attitude and you won't have a bad experience. They've always got a huge amount of juices in stock and if you have no idea what to get they're always super helpful. read more

Visited the store today and was very disappointed. The kid (who was apparently the manager) was glued to his phone and gave me an attitude when i asked for help. He begrudgingly showed me to the back where they had a decent but overpriced juice section. I asked for 5 bottles despite the price (i was in a rush) which he fetched for me and rang up. I took 3 steps out the store to check for a reciept (which he failed to give me) and also realized he gave me a wrong bottle. He gave me one called booberry when i asked for strawberry. I turned right around and went back in and told him the mistake and immediately said I was wrong and he couldn't do anything because of FDA restrictions. I told him I'm not asking for a refund, just the juice I asked for and he kept repeating the same line about the FDA. I asked for the manager/owner and he said it was him (which I doubt but hopefully he reads this) so instead of continuing to battle this kid, I left. I would suggest you go elsewhere for your vaping needs. There turned out to be plenty nicer, more friendly and better priced places in the area. Don't support businesses like this!! So they have wonderful vapes (a few). I was trying to recreate the vapor of purple drank and owner didnt want to tell me. Seemed rather smug about it as well. I mean, i understand he disnt want to give away his formula but would have been nice to send me in the right direction or at least not make a mockery of me on an online forum. They have a good selection, but they have a no returns policy, (which I didn't realize when making my purchase), so if you buy something (in my case it was a battery) you can't take it back if you decide (the next day) you don't really like it. I even offered to purchase something that was more expensive, but the answer was, no returns, so I made a $50.00 mistake.....lesson learned. Buyer beware, I won't buy anything there again. read more

Staff is rude. I knew nothing about vapes when i walked in. They very strongly recommended i purchase this big ugly black-colored vape, never telling me it came in several different pretty feminine colors. I would have liked to purchase something that isn't so big and bulky and less conspiculous, but he told me that particular one is what I needed. Then when it came time to purchase the juice he really pushed the one particular flavor that he said is his favorite, never telling me any other choices or flavors, even though I did ask. Very upset about the return policy.. I was in on a Wednesday looking for a new mod. I was recommended going with a cappo squanker they said was a good build and the next best thing.. I even said I wouldn't mind investing in something pricey just wanted a quality product. That being said 5 days latter I return saying it doesn't seem to be working right very weak on 100 watts and tasted off from the little power it had. The man working took it and said wow this thing is garbage and has a aweful ramp up time. Ok so he was in agreience that something was wrong. So I said well a week ago that's what you had recommended and was the best. Then the excuses came out well it's one battery, it's the build, could be a bad unit, voltage this and that etc.. he grabbed a new one off his shelf, yea that's awful.. Ok cool so can I return it and get into something else? No but I can swap it out for the same color. Lol you just told me a product you sold me 5 days ago(155$) was junk and your saying there is nothing you can do? Bad buisness.. i bought a vape from them almost a year ago and still use it to this day, their prices are a bit higher than id like but everytime I've gone in I've received great customer service and have even had questions answered if I've had any that I've asked. me being in a wheelchair makes it a pain to get into a lot of places as well but their York location was easy for me to access and had a nice variety of [products, ty for the help guys!!!! read more

Ok don't like doing this, but it really brothers me to the point of doing a bad review. I First I too don't like that they have a no return policy, and feel if you want to buy something else to replace what you are returning, how is that so bad? But what is the breaking point for me is, I had bought their juice in the pass, menthol, to be exact. And about 6 months ago said there will be a new menthol coming very soon, and that they had no more icy menthol, the new stuff will be replaceing that. Ok so I go there today, thing been a long time now I'm sure they have the new stuff, Wrong! Not only do they not , they now once again have the icy menthol in which I couldn't get before. A bit strange if you ask me. But here's is why I'll never go back there, I ask for a bottle of the icy menthol, he went into the back of the store, gone for about 5 mins. Then came out shaking the tube of juice. When I ask him what was all in that, he said he 'didn't know' I ask who makes it, 'he didn't know' then I ask what was he doing in the back, he told me he was putting the nicotine in it? Wait a min here they don't know what or who makes their juice? And worst, What in it? I am mad at my self for buying it, and ofcouse I can't take it back, but I will find out if that's legal.
