TALENTED AND PROFESSIONAL!! SeaBreeze Roofing and Sheet Metal exceeded my expectations from start to finish!! When searching for a new metal roof contractor for our Florida rental property over the phone from thousands of miles away, I was blown away by the responsiveness and professionalism shown by Jacin Carreiro and his company. I spoke with 5 different companies about getting a new metal roof and I was shocked that some companies never even called back. Jacin sent a team over to the house the same day that I called AND patched the existing leaks so that I could take the time to get all the estimates from the other companies with which I had arranged estimates. I decided on SeaBreeze to install a new metal roof because the estimate was very reasonable and Jacin was a pleasure to deal with. The installation went smoothly and looks amazing with NO leaks. I had hired a construction and painting crew to finish up the areas around the new roof and gutters that were not part of the roof job. Jacin took the time to show the construction crew that I had hired what they needed to do so that the gutters could be installed correctly without causing leaks. The crew I had hired had done an atrocious job all around. It looked terrible and worst of all there were leaks. I called Jacin on a Saturday night during a rain storm and told him that water was coming in. He was at my house with a crew within 20 minutes!! It turned out that my construction crew had not bothered to put in metal flashing like Jacin had showed them. Jacin then came over with his roofing crew and took off ALL the incorrectly installed gutters, did all the proper preparation, installed the new gutters AND replaced and painted new wood trim around all the gutters of the whole house without charge. He went above and beyond any construction company I have ever dealt with. He had already been paid in full weeks earlier and the leaks were not even caused by his portion of the job. He just wanted his customer to be leak free and satisfied with the job. Jacin and his crew are talented professionals that go above and beyond to do a great job. They are perfectionists and that feels good when you are putting your house in their care. If you are looking for a new roof or roof repair look no further. These guys are the best! I rate sea breeze roofing a zero! After spending $55,0000 on a new roof there was a lien placed on our home by one of the supply companies that Sea Breeze Roofing used for materials. We repeatedly called all the reps at Sea Breeze: Jacin, Sarah, and Ali to ask them to get us the release of lien from that company by paying them what they owed and we would gladly pay Sea breeze our final payment. They said they would give us a release of lien once we paid them in full. Yet we still could not guarantee that the material company was paid and they are the ones that had a lien on our house. They also owed us the warranty certificate which was part of our contract before final payment was made to Sea Breeze. They would not return our calls or emails. So, in order to have the lien released from the roofing supplier, we paid them what Sea Breeze owed them. So technically, we should only owe sea breeze the difference. We again have several emails and phone calls made to them which have been ignored. NOW Sea Breeze Roofing has sent us to collections for the full amount of the last payment owed, even after we paid their debt to the material company! read more

Find another roofer. I called Seabreeze because I was selling my house and the inspector found a leak. I ended up replacing the whole roof because the repair was not worth the cost for a 28 year old roof. I called three roofers, and Seabreeze provided the lowest estimate. After stripping the roof, the added materials ended up bringing the total price up to the other two estimates. I knew the extra materials would bring the cost up, but I did not think it would be that much (be sure to compare the fine print on what they include for plywood and fascia and their fees over the allotted amount). Regardless, the worst part was that it took over 6 months to replace the roof. They blamed it on the salesman leaving and never ordering the tile. Though they should have had checks in place to not let that happen. The tile color was not as dark as I wanted. It was not what the salesman had shown as an example from another job and lighter than the display bords at their office. I contacted the tile manufacturer and they verified it was the correct tile anyway. It just came out lighter. The finished job seemed decent though there were a few protruding nails in the fascia joints and some of their fascia cuts were not tight and had large gaps. Though it still passed the city's inspection. Also, Seabreeze changed their payment system in the middle of the project, which meant extra trips to their office to avoid paying service fees to pay by CC or ACH. Well, it ended up costing me the original house sale, and I could not sell the house until the roof was completed, which messed up plans. After several emails back and forth, Seabreeze reimbursed 500 on a 30K job, but it cost me more in any chance of selling the house for 6 months and it was still more expensive than the other roofers. read more

Just had a horrible experience with this company. Sea breeze replaced a roof on a multiple unit condo which required having the ac unit removed and replaced. When the subcontracted ac repair vendor replaced my ac unit which was less than a year old, they left it inoperable. It cost $2,400 to get my brand new unit working again. I spoke with Sea Breeze and met with their representative in person and they said they were unable to help. The unit was working fine when they removed it, when they replaced it the unit was inoperable at which point they dismissed the problem. Good luck if you signed a contract with this company. Not a good result for me at all. My portion of the bill was over $6,000, worst $6,000 I've ever spent! read more

BEWARE!!! I highly advise staying far away from this deplorable company. My father hired them to redo his roof while he was very sick with cancer. Unfortunately he passed and my sister and I had to deal with them. They were absolutely horrible with communication. We paid them in full for the agreed upon price of the roof then afterwards they came up with an additional $1100 bill claiming it is for extra wood supposedly used. In addition, for the gutters they did not answer any messages about when it would be completed. We only found out it was done once we went to the house and saw. They were improperly installed and were leaking!!! Also the size did not match the size of the previous ones they tore off and does not align with the ones next to it. They never communicated about the work but were quick to communicate threats about making payment on their shoddy work done! Then when I addressed how it was unacceptable to just decide to change the size of the gutters without consulting us first I was received with nothing but nasty horrible attitude and insults and told too bad they would not do anything to fix their mistake but that I better pay anyways. The most unpleasant experience; make sure you read your contract. They will not fix any damage to driveways, ceiling, walls, etc and believe me, there will be some. They are so low class and once you've paid, they will not even be polite. They also sent me a $5000 overage bill and would not continue working without payment. The entire ceiling seam cracked and they say they are not responsible. Black muck coming through my sky light, leak, damaged driveway, garbage piled high and left in the yard. I really feel taken advantage of and treated poorly. Make sure you have someone inspect the work. Better yet, get a different roofer. read more

Seabreeze Roofing did a complete re-roof for my business 3 years ago. At the time I could not afford the cost for all 4 buildings - thinking the job couldn't be done; I was offered the opportunity to complete the work in pieces. It took almost a year, affordability wise but eventually the work was complete. I was more than a happy customer. 3 years have passed and I noted a roofing problem on 1 of the buildings, I placed a call to Seabreeze and the same day (I'm sorry I forgot his name- nice guy) came out and said Monday morning we'll be here to fix the problem - as it was Friday when i called. I arrived at work Monday around 11am - to my surpise the crew was there as promised - fixed the problem and was cleaning up. It started off fine when I was agreeing to the sale but then somehow their rep, Danny completely changed his tune. Basically, after the small repair was being completed, their installers said that they'll return with the 10 new tiles. When I asked Danny a few days later if they successfully found the 10 matching tiles, he said why would they replace them as they would simply "glue back the broken tiles". I was appalled considering it specifically is listed in the contract he sent me that they'll replace with new tiles. Afterall, it's not a free repair. I paid for it and the cost was including tile replacement obviously and its not like all of a sudden, its the entire roof's tiles that needed replacement. They are aware of this complaint as I emailed them (Jacintho Joseph Carreiro, Principal) details of the complaint and they have yet to respond besides telling me where to send the check to... Seabreeze was hired to replace my cedar shake roof with a metal roof. On the day they tore off the old roof, one of workers accidentally backed into my neighbor's brand-new Audi (less than 100 miles on it). The driver immediately went to the door and provided all the information. Being a new car, the owner took it to an Audi Authorized repair facility. Total damage was $14K. Seabreeze insurance company would only pay $10K. I tried on several occasions to get the owner of Seabreeze to call me to ask him to get engaged with his insurance company and get the claim resolved. Even after multiple messages, the owner never called me. Other people at Seabreeze indicated it was being taken care of but it was not. The owner of the Audi was forced to go through her insurance company to get the car repaired who in turn is now going after Seabreeze insurance company. Totally unnecessary and quite remarkable I was never given the courtesy of a return call by the owner. A big question I had that was never answered is whether Seabreeze has adequate insurance for these types of situations. After my roof was removed and the new underlayment installed, there were several rainstorms before the metal was installed. There were two leaks and it took Seabreeze four tries to get it fixed. The first instance was on a Friday evening. I called Seabreeze answering service and asked to have someone contact me first thing on Saturday morning. The GM and VP of Construction were contacts for after-hours/weekend issues. It took multiple calls and texts on Saturday to finally get someone out to attempt a repair. The roof is now done and has held up well over several very heavy rains. The workers were very courteous and did a good job. During the process, the GM didn't return a number of my calls when I was trying to get information on the schedule. I had to make a number of calls and texts to get a response. All in all, the roof looks good but if I had to do it over again and knew what I know now, I would choose another company. An owner who doesn't get involved and a non-responsive GM don't make for a company you can depend on in my opinion. read more

Called yesterday for roof tile repair as a branch from my royal palm got blown down as was very windy, landed on my roof over my garage, breaking one tile. The technician came exactly when he said (about 10am) and replaced the broken tile with the spares I had and removed the palm branch for me. I contacted several companies about my project. The response time from Seabreeze was the best and fastest. I heard from someone that same day. They came out a did a full survey of my roof. Their quote was spot on and lower than other companies. They offered a contract within that week. When I asked for changes in the brand of materials, the price stayed the same (since it was the same material - just another brand). That may sound normal. But when I requested the same material changes from other companies it turned into a huge price upcharge. Another way for other companies to get more money. Not Seabreeze, they were always honest from the start! The payment options were clear and made when work was done. Honesty is important. It's a big project and can be very expensive. I chose to educate myself and Seabreeze was quick to answer any of my questions and concerns! They are clear when it comes to all aspects of roofing. Not so much with other companies. They were patient and helped to educate me. Other roofers hide a lot of information just so they could find reasons to upcharge. Such as in roof colors, glazes, and materials. My overall experience with Seabreeze was excellent. I felt like I was part of their family all the time. The communication was great. When I called I was transferred to the right person or the right person would contact me back that day or the following. Other companies took a week or more to reach back to me. Don't Bother! I am a busy person, so this is review is long overdue. But nonetheless, I can't forget the way in which I was treated by SeaBreeze Roofing & Sheet Metal. So, I must give criticism where criticism is due. My husband and I had many estimates for our brand new roof before we made a final decision. At first, SeaBreeze was the best choice and honestly, I'm glad we woke up before we signed a contract. They had the best price and they seemed on top of things. They even came out to personally measure our roof at our request, versus just taking satellite measurements. But then they started pressuring us to sign a contract and we needed time to to check a few things first. An issue came up where we had questions, about how they would handle our gutters while removing our double roof and replacing TONS of wood before re-roofing. Our gutters were fairly new and we wanted them to be preserved if at all possible. We were spending $13,000 as it was, and didn't want an added expense. They told us to contact our gutter guy, which we did, to see if he could remove them and re-install after the roof was done. We made that arrangement, and were willing to pay for that even though the company should be able to at least remove them, because it is part of roofing to at least remove gutters. Their answer to us, in regards to the gutters, was that they "did not have time to be careful with our gutters" and were going to "just rip them off and keep moving on with the job." We did not like that. That is part of why we held off signing our contract. That is also why we contacted our gutter guy, and arranged to have them taken care of by him before and after. We had pleasant, respectful conversations with the staff mostly, Elvis and Jacin, on several occasions. There were no rude conversations at all on our part, or even a reason for them to be upset with our handling of the minor roadblock with the gutters. In fact, we went above and beyond to politely handle it ourselves when they seemed reluctant to deal with the issue. When we called them to let them know that we had arranged a removal/re-installation of the gutters with our gutter guy, they stopped answering our calls. Elvis told me via text that he was "no longer working on our file and I needed to reach out to Jacin." Jacin took my call once, and then stopped communicating with me altogether without even hinting that he was no longer interested in doing our roof. I reached out multiple times after that, and got no answer and no call back. We had a contract in hand and were ready to sign on with them. They also gave us expired license and insurance documents, to which I had to ask for updates to turn in to my HOA. There was a worker named David, prior to this, who told us that "if we were still thinking about our contract and unsure then maybe they weren't the company for us??" This was about a week or so after the initial estimate?? LOL It was weird, start to (crazy) finish. It seemed like they wanted us to make a very big decision very quick, and put no thought or planning into it. Not to mention that they did not appear to care about us as customers at all. With a big transaction like a roof, you would think that the company would be more than accommodating. Pick another company. Jacin is a jerk. He was very rude and condescending for the one time I did talk to him. He is not into pleasing his customers unless everything works in his favor. You don't want to marry a roof/roof warranty with a company that doesn't care if you are satisfied. I read little tinges of what I saw for myself in a few online reviews. But I decided to take it with a grain of salt, since most of their reviews are good. For whatever reason, they decided not to work with us, likely because the gutter situation was not something they wanted to deal with. But a simple notification of that would have been in order. They handled it wrong by simply ignoring us, especially after we had a drafted contract in hand. We got our roof done with another company, and we have had ZERO problems. Actually, it turned out beautiful, and we have the same 10 year warranty that this company was offering. Our choice company actually ran into one or two little issues in the process, but they handled them beautifully with respect for our home and us as customers. We also had trouble getting our roof color from SeaBreeze, because they don't work with the roof shingle manufacturer that we liked. But the company we went with had no problem getting the color, and we are so glad we didn't change our roof color for these clowns! Do lots of research before you make a big choice like this. Consider reviews like mine more seriously, because this problem can happen and you don't want to be the one stuck regretting your big financial decision to trust a company that turns out to be not-so-customer-service oriented. read more
