We had copper rain gutters installed by this company less than a year ago. They have developed holes where the copper is being eaten away. They have tried to blame us saying that we've had our roof power washed, but we have not. I have neighbors that I've had copper gutters for 20 years that are still in perfect condition so it has nothing to do with the area I live in which they have also tried to blame the condition of the gutters on. The copper has failed because it is my understanding they used inferior, cheap product after promising us the best service master copper obtainable.

For best protection, and seeing as how several have tried to patch, he recommended a torch down of a new layer. We've only had a little bit of rain since he did that (super punctual early bird for 2 days) but I have not seen any additional leaks so far. While he was up there, he noticed that our skylight flashing was also compromised (which we already knew from home inspections but most roofers said it was still ok). But I'd rather not have the anxiety of that hanging over my head and since he was reasonable and efficient (most roofers have months long waits), I would wanted him to do the repair there too. The repair must have been more complicated than he thought (he said the previous work was 'weird') because he spent a half day up there, but I'm glad he took his time to do it right. The peace of mind since then has been invaluable as I was losing sleep and my temper over each and every rain. Anyway, in the end, due to the nature of the crappy bitumen from our old flat roof, there were bits everywhere in our yard, but I honestly expected that no matter who was working on it. His 1. This morning, Martin called as promised and came by within 30 minutes. He climbed up to the roof and found the 8 cracked tiles that were broken during the termite tenting we did several months ago. Within an hour Martin had gone to supply depot, picked up the replacement tiles and repaired as he promised. And the cost was very reasonable, given the quick response. I had been making calls to multiple roofers in the area and was getting replies that they were all booked out thru October and November. Martin exceeded my expectations and my family and I can go into the next rainy season feeling better about the potential for leaks.

This company, All Gutter Systems, came out right away, delivered the estimate when they said they would, did the work when they said they would, and did a fantastic job. Very clean work and they even pointed out and fixed some other gutter issues that needed to be fixed to protect our new roof. The crew was friendly and the installation itself went smoothly. My only frustration was the cleanup. Even though I always remind contractors to tidy up afterward, we still found screws, nails, empty water bottles, and other materials left behind -- unfortunately, this seems to be common with many companies. We also had an issue with the placement of one downspout. It was installed right next to our hose spigot, leaving no room to turn it on or off. We had to have the company return to adjust it. Overall, the work got done, but there were a couple of details that could have been handled better.
