I politely explained that I was waiting for my ride and intended to stay where I was. After that, she went inside and came back out with a bottle of Windex, supposedly to clean the windows. While doing so, I was sprayed by the cleaning solution. I remained calm and told her that we should all be treating each other with kindness and respect, but her behavior felt unnecessarily hostile and unwelcoming. During the interaction, another woman approached me and mentioned that she had experienced a similar issue with the same employee. Regardless of the reason, no customer or passerby should be made to feel uncomfortable for standing on a public sidewalk while waiting for transportation. Me: (looking over at empty bottle) "Umm, that says Monkey BAY." TG: "Oh. (giggles drunkenly) I though it said Monkey Bag." Me: "No. I wouldn't have bought a wine called Monkey Bag." This wine shop is definitely solid, and the guy behind the partition knows his stock and is able to provide good recommendations. My only reason for the star deduction is that the interior space is completely walled off in bullet-proof glass, leaving the customer only about a 4 foot wide walkway through the middle of the store to view their goods with. Additionally, almost nothing in the store has prices displayed, which makes browsing a sight more difficult.

If you're looking for the basics and need something convenient, then this place is just as good as any. It's usually never crowded and the service is friendly. They even have a smaller, more affordable bottle of Macallan behind the counter along with the nips. They have a decent refrigerated section as well. IF YOU ARE BLACK PLEASE DONT SUPPORT THIS RACIST BUSINESS. I came into this store a few times and got stared down and followed. The cash register is at the front of the door, if I was to steal it will be obvious, but to watch me down because I'm black it's so stereotypical of them to do. Asians hate blacks so much and it shows. Just disgusting behavior. If there any other liquor stores in the area that isn't racist that I can try out please let me know. This is definitely the best Greek wine selection by far (a close second to non-mainstream regions for me is Mr. Wright in UES), although once you come here, you quickly learn that there are only around 3 major producers in Greece anyway (although they carry more than that). Not having a website is a real big bummer. I know they mentioned that they used to have one and shipped nationwide, but legislation has prevented that, and ever since they just haven't had a website, since people from out of state kept on inquiring. But I wish they had one, as now the only way to do delivery (which they do btw, free shipping on over $150 orders in the metro area), is to call them and ask what they have in stock. For non-Greek wines and spirits, I'd say it's pretty lacking. There's not much stuff that's inspirational, although there are a few mainstream bottles they have that are priced reasonably.
