ACEI deserves zero stars if that were possible. My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing and deeply unprofessional. I needed ACEI's services to start a Master's program. After ordering an evaluation of my French diplomas, I later paid for a one-day rush delivery on a Wednesday. The delivery was explicitly guaranteed for Thursday. Instead, it was sent late on Friday--too late for my university recruiter, who had already left for the weekend. ACEI offered nothing more than an apology. No compensation. No accountability. To make matters worse, the following Monday my university recruiter informed me that ACEI had sent only my high school evaluation, completely omitting my bachelor's degree. As a result, my evaluation was unusable. Contacting ACEI is nearly impossible. There is no direct customer service: only a chat powered by a useless AI, emails that are never answered, and a phone line that plays a recorded message telling you to use the chat or email. I spent hours trying to get the rest of my evaluation delivered, with no meaningful assistance. This company is unreliable, unresponsive, and careless with time-sensitive academic documents. Save yourself the stress and take your business elsewhere. UPDATE: ACEI eventually offered a commercial gesture and assured me that the correct documents had been sent. However, my recruiter confirmed that he received only half of the evaluation. At this point, it is impossible to know where the failure lies... Sorry this is not false accusations, a clear question is why is ACEI accepting payment and allowing people to upload documents when the need is to send documents thru different channels and expecting them to read website required documents. the application form itself is so elaborate with terms and conditions but fails to mention right there when you select Professional Licensure that documents should be sent by institution directly . Is that a big thing to ask ... not in AI age yes many may navigate successfully this is coming from someone and many others who have faced this issue and several reviews have mentioned this and ACEI has not taken a step to mitigate this, which tells us that ACEI knows this issue and continues to ignore so that people can fall into trap And you have a link to show that "here it is mentioned which you did not read... " If o had read that requirement of sending documents from a university where we passed out decades ago I would have chosen a different provider who does not have this requirement. Its easy to make mistake with ACEI Application process, you are putting the onus of reading requirements on customer and making customer pay for their mistake of not reading. where the mistake could be corrected from ACEI appplication process as well where the online application could stop me from uploading documents and send a message that documents must be sent from university. we would be expecting exactly what need to be done. Many reviews have the same problem mentioned, SInce ACEI is not acknowledging that, I have to put a review and let others know to be more careful. you may be doing a fine job after you get all documents, which you have done with my same evaluation 5 years back. and there is no way to reply to you, so ofcourse another review has to be posted due to nature of the review. read more

Don't fall into the trap One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. So I would like to share my experience to others. I had a good job opportunity that only needed to evaluate a bachelor's degree, so first I sent an email to ACIE to check with them. Do they need to send the original certificates, or do I send them a scan via email? The answer was that they do not accept any paper assets and everything will be uploaded through our website. And because there is a specific date for closing the application for the job. So I paid additional expenses to complete the evaluation in one day.. I paid 470 US dollars. The required certificates were attached at the time. After that, I received a message stating that the University of Minia from Egypt is not in compliance with our guidelines . Although there is no reference within the website mentioning universities that are compatible with it around the world, or universities that are not compatible with it. After that, I asked them to return the amount paid, which is 470 dollars, including the issuance of the evaluation in one day.. but they refused, even though I did not get any service from them in exchange for money (is this not considered fraud?)).. I contacted my lawyer, a case will be filed, all legal measures will be taken against them, and the licensing authority and consumer protection will be notified. read more

This institute is so annoying to communicate with. Communication is extremely slow as they only answer by email in the order they receive them. So if you have a question and their answer brings up more questions you have to wait a day or two or more. So if you try to have a conversation with them it takes a week or more! Another issue it's that you have to spend a hundred dollars for the duplicates report. The custom service is awful. They don't have customer support by phone if you need it. I had studied outside of the US recently and had heard several good things about ACEI from a forum, but unfortunately, I had nothing but bad experiences from them. After waiting the rather long 7 business days to get my evaluation back, I saw that all my courses were considered lower level despite some of them having several prerequisites to enter and having pretty advanced topics for an undergraduate course. I was also awarded only 0.5 US semester credits for every 1 ECTS despite the fact that I know some people who have received more US credits than that from the same evaluation service! When I tried to appeal my evaluation with them, they simply told me that they couldn't award me more US credits despite the fact that some people did receive more than that and then with the lower level credits, they claimed it was because of I was on my first year of undergraduate studies? They're clearly making 3 assumptions here: that I'm a first year undergraduate student, which simply isn't true because I have a lot of previous coursework done here in the US. Second, they assume that all first year students only take lower level courses, which simply isn't true. In fact, there's even people who earn upper level credit for courses that have little to no prerequisites their first year. Third, they assume that all people that do a 4-year degree will complete it exclusively in 4 years when that simply isn't true; it was simply designed to last 4 years based on standard coursework. I know people who have completed a 4-year degree here in the US in less than a year and some who have taken almost 8 years to finish it, so I don't know what they're trying to accomplish based on these assumptions. I wasted a lot of time and money just to be given a rather unfavorable evaluation and I'm glad I didn't choose the rush service because I would've regretted it for sure. For anyone reading this review, your money is definitely better spent elsewhere, especially on an evaluation company who will value your coursework better. Working with this agency on CPA related academic validation is a nightmare. They never reply on time unless you send multiple emails. When you call them during business hours, they never pick up the phone calls. Also, they asked you to go through another service to validate your transcripts and credentials before sending the validated reports to them. Meaning you have to pay twice for the same services. Even after you pay them and send the "Required" validated reports their way, they let you wait forever without any updates. So, I recommend never go through this agency for any services. read more

I would like to warn all potential customers, they are no longer approved agency for Florida Board of Accountancy. Confirm with your institution before you choose ACEI. According to Florida Board of Accountancy, ACEI has removed themselves from the approved list(in April 2017). However, when I sent my application to ACEI in Jan. 2018 that specifically said it is for Florida Board of Accountancy, ACEI did not tell me that they are no longer approved agency. Yes, they removed themselves from the approved list, and did not tell customers. When I call ACEI, they refuse to admit that they removed themselves from the approved list in 2017. ACEI senior manager told me that they will do nothing, and as a customer I should solve this with the Board of Accountancy. The reason I am disappointed is ACEI as a evaluated agency, knowing that they are not approved agency and still provide evaluation report to customers. Second, after knowing they are removed from the approved evaluate agency list, instead of verifying with the Board, they choose to standby and ask customer to solve on their end. I have left another review earlier regarding to the mistakes I found on my original evaluation report. I paid $50 to have them re-evaluate my transcript. ACEI corrected five mistakes and issue me a revised report. Think twice before you choose this company. In my case, they are unreliable, irresponsible, and unprofessional. read more

ACEI evaluated my French Baccalaureat dating form 1982. I needed a degree to be evaluated in order to take a class at AUMT. I must say it took longer than I expected ( 3 months ) since I had to ask for a copy of my Baccalaureat at the Rectorat de Montpellier after finding out that showing my license d'anglais from 1985 and the transcript of the DEUG was not enough since I did not have the transcript for the License nor the copy of the DEUG . In a nutshell I had half of the documents needed and it froze my ability to know what to do next. In other words I procrastinated. So I decided to have my Baccalaureat evaluated instead of the License. The staff of ACEI are very helpful. It is not their fault when people do not read properly the application terms or do not have on hand the documents that are needed to prepare an evaluation. I made a mistake by trusting them. Everything went smoothly but the mailing process they made a twist. I paid them $20 for priority mail service since March and they said UPS or priority mail is suspended (due to Covid-19) and once they county mandate is lifted, they are gonna mailed it to me or 3rd party. I waited and waited, then I email them 3 days ago (June 12), asking about physical copy of my report by mail (post). They said they no longer issued physical report. So, I demanded to repaid my priority mail fees which is $20 but they said email fee is $10 and they sent my report to two 3rd parties with the delivery fee of $20. Therefore, no balance is overpaid. They never mentioned about fees for emailing to 3rd parties, only about priority mail and UPS Domestic. Check the image I have attached. You will say $20 is no big deal, but for me it is. I had to rush the review of my foreign PhD during the holidays and the staff were prompt responding to my emails and advising / confirming which documents they needed in hard-copy and how I should send them to ensure the evaluation could be executed during the working hours between Christmas and New Years.
