I can't say enough good things about my experience at Palladium. Their Finantial aid department was so helpful and knowledgeable. I qualified for a $5000.00 grant that doesn't have to be paid back, and the rest went on a low interest government loan! I moved here from Florida and I found this amazing school online named Palladium Technical School the staff was overly welcoming! So I decided this is my school. My Phlebotomy instructor Willie was amazing, and Ms. Nellie. Wow I have to paused there for a second. There are so many good things about Palladium Techinical Academy!! 1) Palladium has one of the lowest tuition costs for local trade schools. No one wants to rack up huge debt just to have a career change! 2) They offer financial aid to most students. 3) They have a high placement ratio, so you can work right after you get your degree. 4) Most students finish the program in about 8 months. As i was randomly searching medical assisting schools, i came across this school which happened to be not that far from where i live. I asked for more information and i received a phone call right away. It was Ms. Edythe Lindsey calling me with more information regarding the class i was interested in. This schools a joke. Don't fall for there bullshit. I attended the phlebotomy class. I was so excited because it was short and affordable. The class was ok but the teacher Knew absolutely nothing that was going to be on the state test.He says to just read the whole book and you should pass. Which made me feel very uncomfortable because he was so unsure of himself to. But that's the least worry. I've been out of school for a couple of months and I still have not done my internship. Manish gets you all excited like there's so many places you can go in the beginning of the class but when your done with the class the guy that's suppose to assign you says they are a month behind finding a place to assign us people. Still don't have a place to go for internship. Passed test but it doesn't mean anything if I don't have a place to do my hours!This school is just very unprofessional save your money and go to a real school. Then a few days later the lady that you make payments too, says manish can't do that. And then manish goes and lies to her and says he never said that. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! we inquire into phlebotomy class last year and they offered me and my brother cheaper tuition compared to other school, but its still not worth of every dime. We waited several months just to get the class going. They only help medical asst with experience. Other than that they dont know what they are doing. We passed our test and did the required sticks for phlebotomy but still cant get our licese because they keep sending the wrong form. I Texted and tried calling them. No reply. I went to school so i could talk to them. It just happened that they're not there. Its been about a year, So much time and money are wasted to supposedly one week class. Dont go to this school if your looking to improve yourself because you will just waste your time and hard earn money. Just invested to other school, even though its a little more money for sure they know what they are doing. I'm going to be completely honest. I came in 2016-2017 for Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. Ms. Nellie, the instructor for medical assistant is the best. She is very organized and the best at teaching. She had so much patience for me and saw the good in me, academic wise. She helped me understand the material and the best part of all, teaching me how to take out blood and do vaccines! That was fun LOL. Anyways, she was there for you in every aspect you can think of she was there to guide me. I got my license for phlebotomy and she escorted me and answered any doubts I had and not in any moment neglected me as a student. She takes her time one on one to discuss anything and everything that needs to be done in order to graduate on time or anything pending. I can't really remember my phlebotomist instructor but he was also great, Ms. Nellie also was there for all her students. They will help you obtain a job, just ask and they'll help you seek. They have connections with clinic's so it makes it much easier. I did work as a Medical assistant but I needed a different scenery. Now fast forward to 2019/2020 i took Medical billing class and i went on a leave of absence because of my pregnancy and I'm not gonna lie i slacked off a little but there was Ms. Nellie pushing me to do better and finish for i can start working. Which is where I'm now, I am working for medical billing. The instructor Ms. Mary is a great teacher. Her experience in the medical field helped me understand more and relate to it. I Love this school. If they had more classes i'd go back. I have nothing but good things to say, all the staff is wonderful and make you feel right at home! If anyone had a negative experience maybe it's because it didn't catch their interest or they weren't invested in it. What can I say I attended the school for the Electronic Medical Records Specialist. My first month was hard it was medical terminology..Fine done Aced it.. Then after that all we did was browse on the internet.. change around some charts, and input some John Does in the Electronic chart.. and that was pretty much it for the remainder of the course. I was promised a laptop with my course. I finished school in April 2014. No externship .. no laptop.. I regret coming to this school.. now I have a student loan to pay off and no job.. I think the program should have been more organized.. like for example teaching us all kinds of EMR programs not just one. And having the students HIT (Health Information Technician) certified.. I say to people that want to attend vocational schools do your homework and look very well into the school you want to attend. They promise you everything and at the end nothing! If you want me to be honest. School is def money hungry. I'm not going to lie, looking back they did get me a job placement as promise which is the only reason I didn't give them 1 star but the curriculum, the program, it's not taken seriously. Instructors are in an out, at the time that I attended (2013) it was very "do what you please". Where do they find these instructors and are they even accredited for the position to teach the field. All they knew how to do was keep us satisfied and fat with donuts every Friday. I was asked to do the previous review for a chance to win movie tickets. Let's be real, You don't ask for a good review. You get one if you deserve it. From the few people I did the medical asst program with, I am the only one who has had a great job placement. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones. Everyone else is working at a fast food joint or warehouse, who's fault? Idk. All im saying is.... If your interested in doing a medical asst program, browse around. Look into some adult schools or even community colleges, you won't be stuck with a 5,000 dollar loan your given the chance to pay off in 10 years. I took the Computer Networking class and it was great. I was able to gather skills needed for the work field. Not only did we hit the books, but there was a lot of hands on experience. Hands on is what actually counts in the real world and I was offered that, which I thank them. We always have to remember something here, if you really want to succeed, is up to us to push through, not the instructors. Electronic Medical Records I have to agree with the other person who commented. There is no structure to this class. The teacher takes phone calls during class and responds to texts while he is teaching, He gets distracted very easily, and gets aggressive if you ask too many questions. If you are an adult who is looking for a skill to get employment immediately after you graduate, I would go elsewhere or look into their Medical Billing and Coding class. if you are a 20 something whose parents are paying for the course work and you just want to waste some time to appease your parents and say you are going to school, then this is for you. read more

I attended this school's medical Assistant program back in 2013-2014 I honestly do not regret it! All of the staff was very helpful. And probably the least expensive MA program you'll find in the area. I learned not just FRONT & BACK OFFICE but also how to work with EMR systems and some billing. I got a well rounded education out of this school. The more you stay focused and dedicated the more you'll get out of it aswell. After i graduated and finished my hours i got hired right away. The pay at first wasn't so well $9/hr working at a family practice office. But with that being said fast forward to 3 years later I'm now making much more than that working at LAC+USC medical center aswell as doing volunteer work at a mental health center too. So the opportunities are out there you just gotta start somewhere to get to those opportunities. And starting at palladium technical academy was a really good choice and investment. read more
