These guys present the epitome of tint application quality. After attempting to support another local shop, I had to come back here for them to fix my tints. Some backstory. I went to a friend of a friend's shop (supporting an up and coming business ) to get an XPEL tint. They applied it so horribly that I couldn't stand it. Bubbles everywhere (after ~4 days in the sun), so much lint stuck under the film, and more scratches than on my phone's screen protector. I came back to ACJ (this would be my 5th car with them) because I know they would do me right. The gentleman assisting customers at the front of the office is legit -- Doesn't pressure to get one tint over the other. Presented the options they had and didn't tell me to replace my horribly done tints from the other shop. Humble enough to even say, "we don't bad mouth another shop's work." The tint came out perfect, per usual -- ACJ has always done a stellar job with my cars. They provide Llumar, 3M, and Suntek. Llumar IRX is what I got, 5% in rear and 30% in front. A bit lighter than my last car but I'm tired of getting pulled over Overall, completely satisfied with the job and the fact that they saved my sanity.

Avoid this shop if you care about your car and the quality of work being done. I had two vehicles tinted here, and the workmanship on both was subpar. The owner doesn't care if they did a bad installation and they are very dishonest. They play games when it comes to manufacturers warranty cards and it's shady. After carefully looking at their reviews, they have lots of fake profiles making them fake 5 star reviews. I specifically requested 3M Ceramic IR film for the front windows of one car, but I never received a warranty card. When I followed up, I was told they "don't carry it anymore," and therefore, I wouldn't be getting a warranty card. That's not only a poor excuse -- it's something that should have been disclosed before the service was done. A shop's future stock doesn't determine whether a customer receives a warranty card or not. This lack of transparency made me question whether the correct film was even used, especially since the tint looked noticeably different from the same product I had installed by a certified 3M shop two years ago (which did provide a proper warranty card). I also noticed much more low-angle haze with their "3M Ceramic IR" than with the 15% VLT 3M Ceramic IR I had installed previously at a 3M authorized shop. Even the receipt I was given is questionable -- it's a flimsy, handwritten slip that lists only "3M IR" and the price I paid. It doesn't clearly specify 3M Ceramic IR, and it lacks any meaningful detail. This kind of receipt could easily fade over time and offers no real proof of the specific product used. To make matters worse, they claimed that 3M doesn't warranty "illegal tint," which directly contradicts 3M's official warranty terms. 3M clearly states that they do not determine what is street legal and will honor the warranty regardless of the window it's applied to. I even have a medical exemption for darker tint -- which they didn't bother to consider. They were simply dishonest. I've spent the last three weeks trying to resolve this directly with the shop, hoping they would make it right. After some initial responses, they eventually just stopped replying and began ignoring me altogether. To confirm my concerns, I even spoke with a 3M rep, who reviewed photos and agreed that the installation was subpar and not up to 3M's quality standards. That speaks volumes. The rep tried to assist me as much as possible but 3M doesn't cover workmanship issues. The workmanship itself was also disappointing. The top edge cuts on both cars were rough -- some jagged, others uneven. One window in particular now makes an unpleasant noise when closing, likely due to the jagged cut rubbing or catching on the weather stripping. The other car had multiple creases in the film. It looked like the work was rushed or performed by someone inexperienced. No customer should have to return for something that should have been done right the first time -- and in my case, they didn't even offer to fix it. I was simply ignored. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop.

Brought my mustang back as I had to replace my windshield a while ago due to a rock chip so had to get the tint back on. I went with Llumar CTX ceramic 35%. Service was super fast as usual, and price for installation was just about right.

What a great deal and most importantly, the end results of the tint are spot on. ACJ Window Tinting offers a lifetime warranty and is legit with their craftsmanship. It is worth commuting here from San Francisco and dealing with the East Bay traffic. **Pro tip: -Book an appointment. It legit makes a difference despite them accepting walk-ins -Bring cash. They offer discounts when you pay with cash instead of card. -Make sure you look closely at the end results. Do not do what I did. I was very excited with how it looked from afar and drove off from the lot. Then when I got home, my bf realized there was a huge scratch. Then we had to book another appointment and commute all the way back again. Positives: -Lifetime warranty -Great prices/value -Great quality tint and options to choose from -Friendly staff -Accept walk-ins (you most likely will be served last which is fair because they have appointments) Cons: -Residue left on each window during each visit. Soft brushes to dust it off plus interior wipes for the car help if you don't want to deal with asking...although you should ask. -50-50 rate on being responsive on Yelp when booking a quote or asking questions Shoutout to Jose. He was very straightforward, knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with us. He asked me what percentage tiny I wanted. When I gave him my answer, he made me think twice about it but more in a way where he was making sure I really stuck with my answer. In all honesty, I was doubtful and he provided his insight. His insight helped A LOT and I went with his suggestion which was 30% tint all around (specifically based on my personal preferences). I recommended this place to my dad. My dad was also satisfied with the results. My mom deals with severe migraines from the sun so the quality of the tint added has helped a ton.

Return coustomer here. I set an appointment which was handled with no waiting. My window was done in 32 minutes. Excellent service. I will bring future jobs here.

Haven't been here over two yrs now but still great work and great customer service as always. Because I have a tint guy in SJ. But everything was going up I wanted to save a little on tint. One thing I like about ACJ Tint is they offer 3 different tint film brand because most store only have one brand. So you going to have a lot of option and most likely find the one you like in your price range. Made an appointment for Sat 8/13 at 130 and they finish my truck at 205. Love how they have like 3-4 ppl working on one car and finish it quick to have more customer in. I know ppl going to say quick means not going to be good work. But the tint job is very good. Overall I am happy with how my tint look and the price is great also. So if you ever need your car tint come to ACJ! read more

Knowing nothing about window tinting, they talked to me and helped me choose which tint would work for my taste and described their products well. Their prices are one of the best, especially on the quality of the products and service i receive. The employees here are very respectful, and super friendly. I got a quote from ACJ to tint all 4 doors and the back with Llumar CTX and after reading all the reviews and compared with several other installers. I decided to go with ACJ. I showed up on Saturday afternoon and spoke with Jose. He is super friendly and explained the whole process to us. He said the car should be ready in about 2 hrs. So we went to lunch and ran some errands. They actually finished in about 1.5 hrs and we went back to pick up the car. The tint looks great. Couldn't ask for a better job. And they also used premium tint and the price can't be beat. If we ever need to tint another car, we would definitely go back to ACJ. read more

It's been about a month since I brought my car to ACJ and I don't think I'll have any issues with the tint. Genaro was responsive from the get go and the guy I worked with at the shop was knowledgeable about all their products. So pleased with the work and will definitely be recommending them in the future. I did a ton of research before winding up at ACJ. The top shops around the peninsula were all booked up for at least two months, and the smaller shops were all quoting me close to 1k for all four windows while using non-ceramic or brands I've never heard of. When Genaro got back to me with a $400 quote AND told me they were using Llumar's ceramic tint I had to call to confirm before going in. They ended up taking my car for less than an hour and all the bubbles were out within 2 weeks. Took the long way around the bay to keep the windows up but it was well worth it. Saved $600 and am super happy with the work - give them a shot! read more

Called in at 9am for car tints. Dropped my car off at 1:45pm and received a call that it was ready at 2:25pm. The service and customer service is amazing! I am absolutely in love with my car. I wanted to get the tints before I gave birth to make sure not so much light shines in for the baby. I got 5% in the back and 15% for the driver and passenger. Quality work at an excellent price. Seriously, great service and excellent quality work. If I could recommend one place for window tint it would be ACJ all day. Took my new '20 4Runner here to get the tint done. Called during a holiday week and they were able to squeeze me in day after New Years. Just tinted my second vehicle at ACJ and happy with the result. They are quick and take appointments or walk-ins. I can tell from my interactions with one of the owners (Chris) they sincerely care about their customers and stand behind their work. A little upgrade to the front office (and front office staff) could go a long way towards improving the overall experience, but otherwise a solid business. read more

Honest, fast, easy to work with people is all I can say about ACJ. I got a couple quotes through yelp and most had prices that were ridiculously expensive. ACJ had one of the best prices in the bay area (ask for cash incentive discount) They were able to schedule me in the following weekend and said it would take 1-1.5 hours to complete my car. No biggie, brought my car in spoke about the options and decided to go with 35% in the front with 18% in the back, Suntek CXP. They were able to get my car in and out within 45 minutes including my difficult rear hatch. read more

Because of that history, it's disappointing to say that I will never return. Over the years, I have used their services primarily for window tinting and, on one occasion, for the installation of a subwoofer and amplifier in my 2021 Lexus IS. The quality of the work itself was generally acceptable and appeared clean and professional. However, communication, customer service, and turnaround times were consistently poor. My final experience was with my brand-new 2024 Lexus RX 350. During the tint installation, the technician performing the work was careless and repeatedly soaked the interior door panel with water. When I politely expressed concern about it, instead of addressing the issue professionally, he became argumentative and confrontational. To make matters worse, management did nothing to resolve the situation or address my concerns. What left the worst impression was that the technician then closed the garage door, preventing me from observing the work being performed on my vehicle. As a customer entrusting a brand-new luxury vehicle to a business, I found this behavior unprofessional and concerning. After more than a decade of being a loyal customer and bringing multiple vehicles to this shop, I expected far better treatment. Unfortunately, due to the poor customer service, lack of accountability, and overall experience, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this business to others.

Never again! I would much rather pay for top-tier service and have peace of mind than worry about fixing problems later. Most recently, I had a front PPF and tint done on my Tesla, and the results were flawless. OCD Detailing is one of the few places capable of tinting the entire Tesla roof using a single piece, with no seams, and it looks incredible. They were also kind enough to help install hub caps I purchased separately and recommended a great source for blacked-out emblems. My car turned out beautiful. The only downside is that I live in San Francisco, so the drive is a bit out of the way, but it was absolutely worth it. I recommend OCD Detailing to all my friends whenever they're looking for high-quality PPF or tinting. If you care about your car, this is where you take it.

After looking through numerous listings on here and doing research, I decided to take a chance on Crystal Tint & Customs. I was a bit hesitant at first due to there being no reviews but their rapid response time, flexibility with scheduling, and overall price estimate was pretty much unbeatable. Points to them for not trying to upcharge/mansplain car terminology to me like your usual car maintenance services. They are located in Union City (not too bad of a drive from Milpitas) and upon arrival I learned they can even come to you. Wow. Upon arrival I noticed their work area's indoors -- not far from the waiting area, you have a clear idea as your vechile is being serviced and the mechanics can communicate with you if there's any discrepancies/updates. Service friendly, professional and surprisingly quick, they told me it would be about 2-3 hours, but actually finished in 1.5 hours (in at 3pm, out at 4:30pm). ANYWAYS, 5/5 STARS. My tints look hella good, and I'll definitely be back soon for more. This is your sign if you're thinking about it. Choose this service, trust me you won't regret it. ‍

Steven performed an exterior detail but before he charged anything he got to work on the paint and used a couple of tricks to get the hard to clean paint out from under the trim. I was so relieved I did not need to file a comprehensive claim. Steven did a great job restoring the car to how it looked a year ago when I drove it off the lot. Today I returned for a basic wash and just made arrangements to return for an interior detail and to get a minor curb rash off one of the rims. I usually just hang out in the shop with Steven because he is so easy to be around and trust in the auto industry is notoriously hard to foster. Steven Ramirez is an honest and down to earth person and I'm glad to know him. My car wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you!

i got my first brand new car in december and immediately started looking up car wash and detailing…read morecompanies for future care. i wanted a place with a physical shop vs just mobile services and titan's came up as a highly rated business on both yelp and google. i appreciated the thorough descriptions of all the services on the website and competitive pricing compared to other places. with all the pollen lately, i read up on washing techniques and protecting the car's clear coat and decided to get ceramic coating done sooner rather than later so i reached out to titan's on yelp. steven replied right away and had availability for the following morning. i originally wanted level 1 ceramic plus interior detailing but he advised me to do the new car coating and i'm looking forward to seeing how all the other surfaces are protected. he explained the process and benefits of the service, which i always appreciate hearing. it took the maximum quoted time (8 hours) and my car is so shiny and smooth and looks amazing! i can't speak on the longevity of the coating just yet but hopefully it lasts a while. the interior looked dull at the time of purchase but glistens and glows now after a proper, thorough cleaning and conditioning. random oil stains and suction cup marks left by the dealership are totally gone. the gauge cluster screen and piano black center console are free of obvious scratches so these guys know how to handle sensitive areas. i'm happy with my experience here and will definitely be back! so glad i found a local place with friendly customer service and solid, detail-oriented work. 5 stars :)

They love what they do and have fun doing it, they're true experts at their craft here and they'll get it done QUICK! In and out in 45 minutes!!! On a Saturday!!! 8:30am and out by 9:15!!! Setup the appointment thru this Yelp app, Genaro was awesome, thanks for answering my questions! They got the job done right the 1st time, only noticed 1 bubble and a day later it was gone!!! As far as I'm concerned, this is THEE only spot you'll ever need to go to get your tinting done. Prices are very reasonable and a lifetime warranty, it's a true no-brainer. They'll even treat you like a human being! Stop looking around already, ACJ is what you want!!! Big screen TV and they let you have the remote! Plush and really comfortable couch/chair to sit on while you wait & watch the tube. They even have an epic fish tank, makes it feel like home! Brought my car here to get my tint done. Went with the 3M Color Stable 35% front and 5% rear. Dramatically reduce heat and increased privacy. Fantastic job on installation. All the windows are perfectly tinted and aligned with glass 100%. So far no bubble on any window, but one dust dot on the sunroof. Doesn't bother me yet and there is lifetime warranty if anything. Would've been nice if they provide a sample tint onto your window for you to see in person. I was hesitant between 35% or 20% for the front cause I want to be able to see when I drive at night and get the best privacy. Another customer got the 20% front and it looks much nicer. Pretty sure driving at night shouldn't be a huge problem either. Overall this place got the job done. Would come back to get my other car done as well. read more

Recently got a 2017 Honda Accord and needed my windows tinted.Ive gone to this place before and they always do great work. I called in advance to make an appointment as I know they are always busy.Called on a Monday and they were able to get me in on Thursday. I went with 3m, 5% in the back and 20% in the front.They informed me that front tints aren't street legal as I am aware but still went with it. The whole job took about 45 min which was great. Gave simple instructions to not roll down your window for couple of days. Also they told me that if I get a fix it ticket I can come back and they can re do it for a discounted price. On top of that, tints are covered under warranty,just keep the card they give you. would definitely recommend this place looking for tints read more

I would have never known about these guys had my Nissan Salesman not told me about them. AWESOME JOB!!! *Really* inexpensive, super nice, very informative and QUICK. The gentleman I spoke to initially, was very helpful when I was picking out the tint. He was very concerned that if I went too dark, I wouldn't be able to see. It was really sweet. They looked great, but noticed one small air bubble, didn't think much of it but didn't want it to get worse, so called them back up and they told me to bring it down and fixed it quickly!
