I had to cancel my appointment last minute because my 7-month-old and 3-year-old were both sick, and my daughter woke up with a fever. Unfortunately, the person, Marcel, I spoke with was very rude and unempathetic about the situation. I was told that the dentist would now be left with an hour and a half of nothing to do and that I "had all morning to call," which felt unfair and dismissive. As a parent, I can't always anticipate a child waking up ill, and I did the responsible thing by not bringing sick children into the office. I understand cancellation policies, but a little kindness and understanding would have gone a long way. This experience left a bad impression, and I was disappointed by the lack of compassion shown. read more

I am very pleased with my first dental appointment with Ackerman Towson. Dr. Greene, completed a thorough full mouth examination, reviewed x-rays, and was very friendly and professional. The dentist took time to talk to me and answered all of my questions and concerns. The dental hygienist was just as pleasant and professional. She did an in-depth evaluation of my gums, cleaned my teeth, and pointed out some problem areas that required extra attention. This doctor was amazing! All the staff were respectful, introduced themselves, and also let you know every step they were doing. It really takes the fear off when they explain things until you understand. They also gave a sheet with insurance co pays and possible procedures with co pays so you know whether you want the procedures or not. The only things I would recommend is a kid section with toys for the kids in the waiting room. And Saturday bookings for people who can't take days off. read more

The best experience I've ever had with a dentist. I am so terrified of the dentist that I cry as soon as I sit in the chair, even if it's just a cleaning. My nerves always get the best of me. New to the area so had to find a new dentist for my husband and myself. After checking reviews and also seeing they have the ability to do same day crowns (didn't need one but I've enjoyed that convenience before so I look for that in a dental office now), we decided to try this place. The office is very clean & they have state of the art equipment. Everyone was very helpful and the dentist did our first cleaning himself instead of the hygienist so that he could get to know us. They got me in quickly, went over my options, sympathized with my fear and pain, and provided me ibuprofen and antibiotics in his office. So thankful Dr Ackerman is still in practice. He completed my braces when I was 14 years old and I went back to do a revision for Invisalign after not wearing my retainer after 20+ years and my teeth had shifted. We just love Dr Ackerman and the staff. Great experience with friendly attentive staff. I now have my children going to see him as they will be in braces in the next couple years. Best dentist office ever!! My family and I have been patients of Dr. Ackerman for years now and his work is amazing and his staff are the friendliest and sweetest. A few weeks ago I BROKE my front tooth. Broke it. It was missing. Dr. Ackerman was going on vacation for the holiday so if I couldn't get my veneer matched by the lab and made by the time he was to leave- I would have a temporary for three weeks. His staff had the veneer/crown lab come into the office for me to match my tooth there and it was on within two days!! when i faced some pain i went to yelp looking for the closest dentist who wont make me suffer and be in pain since i am new to this city. Dr Ackerman & Towson showed up at the top of the list and lots of people expressing how good they are and they wont let you feel any pain that you might face from the regular dentist so i thought of calling the clinic and took an appointment. I visited Dr Eric Towson for some infection i had in my lower jaw and he was incredible with treating me. He gave me the right amount of medicine and painkillers that suits my condition and after the inflammation calmed, i went for the treatment which was extraction of a tooth in my lower jaw, now let me tell you how made me wanting to visit him again and make him my only dentist! When he wrote me a prescription, i told them i don't have health insurance so they're clinic deals with a nearby pharmacy which they called the pharmacy themselves to get my medicines arranges, i dont remember how much the visit costed me ( around $120 or less i cant really remember!) and that's decent for Xray and the session. After a week when i had to come back again for the extraction, it took an hour which he got to calm me down and the helping nurse was also extremely nice and friendly. He wouldnt go further if i told him i feel some pain, he made sure to numb the area well and add more if i felt anything! he made sure i feel comfortable and good without feeling any pain. i loved the fact he was explaining everything before he work instead of "OH LET ME DO MY WORK" kind of Dr! he also have a personality that calms and will make the patient feels less nervous about the visit and more relaxed for the treatment. I know i wrote along review but i really want to deliver the best review as my experience was and was bragging about how i have a really good dentist now that i'm not afraid to go to instead i want to be regular patient because of the great treatment i received ! read more

The new dentist is amazing! I had two JACKED UP teeth that were killing me. I mean I couldn't sleep they were THUMPING with pain. One had a huge hole of decay and I thought it was a goner. I had my first appointment here yesterday and I had a wonderful experience. I too, like so many who are a bit scared of the dentist. I found the office online and based on good reviews my husband and I made our appointments. From the moment I walked into their beautiful and very clean office to the very nice greeting I knew I had found a great practice. They promptly brought me In the back and before taking X-rays they checked my insurance for coverage and I truly appreciate that. Then Dr vince lacssio came in and wow what a great and very possibly one of the nicest dentists I've ever met. He had recently done some dental work for my husband so he asked me how he was doing. He then explained my X-rays in detail and I was surprised no problems! Then he did his very thorough exam and explained everything as he went. So aside for a long overdue cleaning that I have scheduled there were no other problems Dr Vince found. I appreciate doctors who are on the conservative side. I've been going here for a little over a year now and this is probably the best dental office I've experienced. Very professional, clean, courteous and just overall great dental office. Every appointment I've had has always been on time with very little waiting once I check in. They're good about calling you in advance to confirm your appointment or if theres any issues to be aware of with insurance/cost before you come in so that theres no surprises at billing.
