Great customer service and the way they did my teeth looks amazing I highly recommend this place

I've recently moved to Brentwood and faced the challenge of finding a new dentist, which was difficult because I absolutely loved my old dentist in Sacramento! I came to Brentwood Family Dental because they have evening hours, which is very convenient for working professionals. So far I have had x-rays, a cleaning, and two separate filling appointments (each appointment was for multiple fillings in a a different side of the mouth). The decor here is incredible and perplexing - the carpet has a textured swirl pattern and the glass doors/walls use varying levels of thickness to create a design. I could spend hours touching the floor or the walls, getting lost in the patterns. I felt almost sad that my appointments are always on time because I don't have enough time to fully appreciate the aesthetics! But it's probably a good thing for everyone else that this place sticks to their schedules so well. Everyone who works here is super friendly. Reception was making my sides burst telling me all these different dentist-related jokes and it was honestly such a good introduction into the office. The dental technicians / hygienists asked questions about me and made sure I was well-informed as well as comfortable during all of the procedures. The dentist had me fill out a survey about my anxiety / fear level towards dental work and the first thing they did was talk through any concerns I might have and try to alleviate any consternation by giving me some reassurance. I have a double bite (my jaw has a natural defect where it can hinge forward or backwards depending on how I bite down) so one of the fillings they did was hitting incorrectly after the anesthesia wore off. It was very painful for a couple weeks, but they had me come back two times to bite down on the carbon contact paper and readjust the filling by grinding it down. They did not charge me extra and they were very concerned with making sure I had a good result that was comfortable. I was definitely frustrated by the pain, but I appreciated their level of effort in making sure it was resolved properly. They were able to fix that issue quickly, which was great because I was going out of town for my wedding and I absolutely didn't want to have jaw/tooth pain for that! Overall I've been very satisfied and will be coming back for future cleanings and dental work. read more

I recently researched local dentists in the area and had determined that I would try Balfour Dental before committing my husband to go as well as our family destiny retired and we were looking for someone closer to our home/work. My first visit only confirmed all the reasons why I chose it in the first place: 1. It's clean, modern equipment, friendly staff 2. They educate you but don't push you... that goes a long way. 3. Xrays are quick and painless, they even offer photos of you care about the aesthetics as much as the health/functionality of your teeth 4. They gave options for people like me who don't like the sounds and smells of a dental office. (Eye gear, ear plugs, tv to watch for distraction) I live my first visit so much, I care back two days later for a cleaning and already booked my husband for his consultation and X-rays! I'm glad I've made Balfour Dental our new family dentist... now the next steps is to get my 2 year to come in... should be interesting! read more

How can I describe an excellent dental experience from beginning to end? As a background, Balfour Dental is only the 2nd general dentistry that my family has gone since 1999. I thought our former dental office was the best, that's why we were patients for more than 18 years even if we had to drive to Concord. One visit to Balfour Dental, that's all it took for our family to switch. Let's start from the top: 1. The office is clean, modern and up to date. The receptionists are very friendly. They also provide appointment reminders via email, text (and phone call if you prefer). 2. First visit was exceptional. The team was very thorough from the technician who performed the X-ray, to Dr. Rayani and Dr. Siao who explained the images and recommended what should be done tooth per tooth. They did not sell or pressure us to do anything we were not comfortable with. Basically, they educate us in details and leave the decisions (on what treatment we want to pursue) to the patients. Just the way we like it. 3. The technician, who did the final cleaning, is also excellent. She takes her time, never in a rush and provided step by step advice how to prevent staining. We've come back a few times since and every visit convinces us more that we made the right decision: to have Balfour Dental as our family dentist. read more

I've been a patient of both Drs. Rayani and Siao for at least ten years now. I had severely damaged my upper four and lower four front teeth in a sparring accident several years prior and decided it was time time to fix them. I spent a lot of time visiting practitioners and chose Balfour Dental based upon my comfort level with them and their staff, realizing they were practitioners with the expertise and state of the art equipment needed. Sparing all the details, I had a complete mouth reconstruction including surgeries, bone grafts and implants. I'm extremely rough on my teeth, and over the years they have always provided maintenance and completed repairs as necessary. Most recently they brought me in to use a new piece of equipment, maybe as a bit of a guinea pig, that allowed them to fine tune my bite even further and I must say I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to fine tune my bite to what I would consider nearly perfect, which precipitated this review. I booked an appointment for my husband and our 2 little boys (2&4). The receptionist was fantastic and pleasantly follow up with me even when I forgot to get her a copy of our insurance card. The hygienist they all had was absolutely great with the kids and kept them both entertained and happy through the exams. I have been going to Balfour Dental for 3 years now. I originally went there for an Invisalign consultation. I liked Dr. Riyani and her staff so much that I not only got the Invisalign, but I also made them my primary dentist. Dr. Riyani explains everything in detail, so you know exactly what's being done and why. Now I go to Balfour dental for cleanings, fillings, and everything in between. My daughters are going to Dr. Riyani for braces. I couldn't be happier with how well Dr. Riyani handles my younger daughter who is fearful of the dentist. read more

They took down the " updated review" I posted after having delt with them several times. Just to be absolutely certain, since there are two dental offices in this building, this is the one on the first floor. They lied about what was included in the deep clean, and on a procedure where no insurance was involved to possible change the total cost, they added another 700$ to it and I could take it or leave it. That single crown ( not counting the root canal done elsewhere) was over 3, 000$. ( and no it was not a post). I gave them a poor review ( based on the lie that the follow up cleanings after the deep were included in the price and they later denied saying that and the extra cost of the crown). they then offered me a "refund " for the cost of the follow up cleanings that follow a deep clean, thing was I hadn't paid for them. Talking to me like a 3 year old the Doctor kept saying we will give you a "REFUND". WHY? They wanted me to change my review on here , it was a bribe. I refused . I didn't need a refund of money I had not not paid them and felt if they wanted to make it right they should have done what they said, include the follow ups in the price of the deep clean! But no. So I told them to their face I would not be bribed to change my review. I see on here they have taken that review down, and put my first visit review up instead. They are completely without ethics or any moral standards . So , now, they wanted me to update the first visit review , which was positive , and of course the one containing this info was gone. We love Balfour Dental! Dr. Rayani is personable and professional. The entire crew is outstanding. It's almost like walking into "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. My 8 year old loves going to the dentist. Definitely not the case in the past! I've left offices with a crying child who never even opened his mouth before! Not here! He just adores the staff and you can tell he's comfortable and trusts them. He's doing phase one of orthodontics right now to widen his bite before it becomes a bigger issue. I love this place, truly!! I was there just yesterday and Dr. Rayani took care of me and my frightened 9 year old. My daughter hated the dentist and was very scared to go! But the super friendly staff at Balfour Dental made the both of us feel right at home. The experience she received definitely changed her mind about going to the dentist all together! I got the check up and cleaning I needed and my daughter Ellie got the works. Staff continued to check in with her to make sure she felt safe and okay and she even got to watch some tv while getting work done!! We even got paid up and out on time to make another appt. My family and I have been going here for a couple of years now, feel bad I'm just doing a review but after a recent experience I definitely had to. I have had several anxiety with regards to going to the dentist, some horrible experiences as a child and teen. Dr Rayani is my favorite, talking me through everything and reminding me to breathe and working with my budget. Dr. Saio has been nice in the past as well. Recently my son knocked out his front adult tooth, I immediately called the office and the call was forwarded to them. If it was not for there instruction I don't know what we would've done. We went to the ER and they didn't do much (no xrays or medication prep) and they didn't provide any instruction beyond "you should see your dentist in two days". I truly feel like my son was made a priority at Balfour Dental during this time because this is not some "quick fix". What mother doesn't want that? Well worth the drive from Hercules. read more

Balfore Dental is a warm and welcoming place. Very few people enjoy going to the dentist but this is as good as it gets. I've had a fair amount of work done this year and the staff of Balfour Dental have been very respectful, kind, and easy to work with. It had been about 4 years since I'd had a dental cleaning; Dr. Rayani was very supportive and did not admonish me for my lack of attention to oral health. I was interested in braces and pretty much said, "he couldn't tell me anything without x-rays & records" worst braces consultation I've ever been to. Other orthodontist I've been to had a lot of feed back without having the x-rays done.. and were a lot more friendly. They could have told me that over the phone so I wouldn't have wasted my time coming. Couldn't tell me a exact price or anything.. never in my life. Every other place I'd been to had a price I would be looking at.. payment options, time frame of braces etc. WASTE! Although, I've seen great reviews about the lady dentist that works with him. I normally wouldn't go DOWN in a rating, but when I had a problem with my new crown, they fixed it and then wanted to discuss my review. She wanted to know "how to make it right so I'd upgrade the stars. I said, " if you do what you said you'd do ,I'll increase it but will not give 5 stars to people who lied to me twice.". She then said they could " refund" the money for the next years follow up cleanings. Problem with that is I had NOT paid for those services. Being a little slow, I said why don't you just do the work you said you'd do? So like she was speaking to a demented child, clearly enunciating, she repeated they'd "refund" me enough money to have it done elsewhere if I was willing to change my rating. Ah, the light went on. I said, lady that is not a refund, that is a straight bribe. Offering money ( not a refund) to change their rating! I said NO. Sure it would help me as it is several hundered dollars to have those cleanings done, but she picked the wrong person. I have integrity . Something they know nothing about. I wouldn't have taken twice that money. So you know what they did? Sent me a registered letter dismissing me from the practice, like I'd ever go back. I have a dentist who can't wait for me to come to them and an endodontist who said he'd take me anytime and knows of this situation. So who do they think they hurt? Dishonesty will never pay off, if even one honest person stands up. And now a week after they fixed it, oh, they said it was the next to the one they fixed, but it's the one they fixed that's hurts, odd isn't it? Well it's throbbing again and we're off to Washington for Christmas . Maybe a dentist up there can fix whatever it is they've done. read more

I just had my scheduled teeth cleaning by Jenn. She is terrific, and goes out of her way to make me comfortable during the process. I have been a patient since 2009, and had a complete restoration of all my teeth. The outcome was phenomenal, and I still receive compliments. My main Dentist is Dr. Siao, and at times Dr. Dimple had to perform some procedures when Dr. Siao was not available. Dr. Siao goes out of his way to follow up after complex procedures, and includes his private cell phone number I can use for emergencies. I have special requirements because of a bleeding disorder, and Dr. Siao coordinates directly with my hematologist when necessary. Over the years, I have had interaction with the entire staff, and they are always warm, friendly, and make me feel important. read more

Dr. Rayani and her staff (Jenica and Marcy-especially) have SAVED MY LIFE! 1.5 years ago I suffered with major dizziness, pain, eyesight issues. I went to every MD plus multiple MRI's for months. NOTHING! My last hope was a dentist to see if I had TMJ. I found her through a Google search. I felt so lucky to have her right where I live. Her staff got me in to see her the same day. She used her top and latest equipment scanner (right at her office), and low and behold I had acute TMJ. Dr. Rayani is so patient, understanding, goes the extra 100 miles and super informative. She knew exactly what I was going through. She saved me! I am doing GREAT because of her. No dizziness, pain or eye issues anymore.
