Five star experience. Astronomically better than my previous dentist that I went to last year and arguably at the same level as my dentist before them that I spent about 20 years seeing. Came in, filled out obligatory new patient paperwork, got my x-rays done in less than five minutes, was able to get to my cleaning immediately afterward, and got out. No muss, no fuss. I don't enjoy going to the dentist - it's physically uncomfortable and it takes up time that I would otherwise prefer to spend sitting at home and staring at my wall. Dr. Ong and his staff made the whole process quite painless and with minimal time spent - less than an hour, all told. And at the end of the day, that's all I ask for. An apology is due to Dr. Ong. If you read my previous review you will see that Doctor Ong had referred my wife to a Dr. Lim because she needed two root canals. Dr. Lim took new xrays and could find no need for a root canal. He was quite angry at the waste of his time. Not unnaturally we felt that Dr. Ong had wasted our time and whatever money we paid Dr. Lim. It was Dr. Lim who failed her. Oddly enough the toothaches stopped until recently. We found a new dentist who diagnosed three root canals. This time the endodontist, Dr. Hornberger, did find them but two were beyond saving and will have to be pulled. We were told that they had been in need of attention for a long time. How they could have been missed less than two years earlier was beyond him even even though there are no cavities. I just trust that Dr. Ong is referring to a different Endodontist now. Truth to tell, I was tempted to say "oh, my bad" and leave it at that. However I was told a long time ago that if you make a mistake and do not correct it you are making a second mistake. read more

Dr. Ong is very gentle and was a great comfort to me. Especially because the pain I was suffering from a broken root canal was so painful. After there was no way to save the tooth, and he had to extract it, I felt so depressed and couldn't stop crying. Dr. Ong, He Is literally the sweetest most nicest dentist I've ever met, He's so caring and treats you with the up most respect. He understands your insecurities and self confidence, I have major panic attacks when it comes to dentist and he automatically saw this in me and knew exactly how to help. Dr.Ong and his office staff are so wonderful! From the first time you call, the friendliness and careing is so real, I immediately felt so comfortable! With very little waiting, I met his assistant and then Dr. Ong. I was so impressed with his professionalism and kindness ( he knew I was a dental chicken!). I knew I needed a lot of work and was really scared. His injections were truly painless, and he is so rapid in his treatment ,I couldn't believe I was finished with my first appointment so quickly! I have had so many nice visits with Dr. Ong. I always feel comfortable in the chair when I have procedures done, for me, that is huge as I "dislike immensely " going to the dentist. A few months ago I needed a dentist to take care of a very painful tooth. I looked Dr. Ong up looked at some of the reviews and decided he would be the Dentist for me. As it ends up he is one of the best dentist I've ever been to. He diagnosed the problem and then referred me to an Endodontist who is also really good. Subsequent to that I've had to go to Dr. Ong for teeth cleaning and for some other repair work. I find that he has really delicate hands works very quickly and very accurately. I have a new crown that he expertly placed onto a tooth that had broken off years ago and was spackled. He was able to create more of a stable base for the crown to be placed. His injection technique is excellent did not feel the needle at all. I highly recommend this dentist to anybody. My wife has been to him also and she will be reviewing on yelp as well because her experience has been similar to mine. read more

I decided to come to Dr Ong for the first time after reviewing dentist reviews here on Yelp. He had five stem at reviews so I deceived to give him a chance. I am very skeptical of Dentists, as my last couple of experiences with dentists have not been the best. Most Dentists I have found try to suck every bit of money out of your insurance that they possibly can which usually leads to me spending a lot of money out of pocket. I would describe most Dentists as very aggressive with their treatment plans. This is the not the case with Dr Ong. He is more conservative and does what needs to be done and does not push for extravagant dental work. He is very gentle and through. Dr. Ong is hands down the best Dentist I have ever been to! I have been going to his practice for quite a while. At one point when I moved out of town I tried going to another dentist but couldn't find anyone that even came close in comparison, I think I tried 3 different providers before I finally said forget this and ended up driving to his office (even though it was 45 minutes to an hour away) for my appointments, it really was worth it. Now that I live closer I still continue to go to his practice even though there are other dental offices closer to my home, Dr. Ong and his staff is worth the trip! I found Dr. Ong while I was searching for a dentist to do a bridge after my dentist retired without warning. Anyway, I googled and found that Dr. Ong had a great rating.
