That's when I shared my experience with others. If there is an update to store policy that I am made aware of, I plan to go back to the Hy-Vee I used to love and update my review. On my last trip, I discovered this HyVee in Waverly will only price match one item per transaction. After choosing one item and leaving the others, had to check out at customer service. The assistant manager didn't know how to do it and came up with the wrong price. Left my entire cart and went to Fareway where they happily price matched HyVee. Fareway is now my go to grocery store in Waverly.

Caribou coffee is the main brand served at this Hyvee. I had the combo of eggs, pancakes, potatoes, and bacon. It comes freshly cooked and delivered to your table. This was my first time ordering breakfast this way at a Hyvee grocery store. The pancakes are actually very good. I found out why I was taken here. It is the only place serving a cooked breakfast before 9 a.m. in this town.

One nice thing about the store is they carry items from nearby bakery and a nearby tea room so there are some unique offerings. The prices are about average, maybe a tad higher than other stores, but it will worth the convenience of not having to drive back to Cedar Falls. My only criticism is whenever I have used the Chester Chicken deli portion of the store, it always seems like the employees think it is a chore to wait on me. Case in point, I was there with my dad to pick up some lunch for us, my brother and nephew today. We get there and make up our minds for what we want and ring the bell for service. There are two employees in the back that see us, but make us wait another 5 to 10 minutes before coming up to wait on us. Why couldn't one of the employees come up and take our order? It was nowhere near busy. Please Brothers, make sure your employees know that when the deli counter is not busy and there are more than 1 person in the deli that no customer should ever be kept waiting. Hello, Today, while…read moreat the Decorah Walmart, I witnessed an employee dumping trash into a larger bin without changing the liners (which were nasty) and taking items out of the trash to reuse (gross)! At one point, another staffer had to point out that a spray bottle this person pulled out of the trash was broken. Does cleanliness not matter? I quit using the self checks outs because they were regularly dirty, and staff pulled bags / hangers out of the trash to reuse and the frequent attitudes of staff. I will no longer patronize this store and will be talking to my husband about alternatives. Cleanliness needs to be a priority epically with the covid-19 and new fungus virus. P.S. management who won't help, short tempered stockers do not help. This Walmart is a sinking ship just like the defective products they sneak on their shelves to try and sell.

Downfall is the waiting line at the checkouts. They have 13 checkout stands which are not in operation.
