I'm so glad that I trusted Devin at Acme to professionally clean my one bedroom unit carpet. He did an absolute fabulous job! I was given proper instructions from my apartment management that if I had the carpet professionally cleaned that wouldn't charge me for it at move-out and hopefully (fingers crossed) get my security deposit back. Now, I haven't had the inspection yet that's on Friday, but after Devin got on it, he did a swell job! First, when I booked with Acme via phone call, I spoke with Devin. He was very kind, got to the point, and opened up availability for me at the last minute (I called him on Monday and he came out on Tuesday). His pricing is very reasonable and not over the top. It cost me $120 for the job. He kept his word on the pricing and it didn't change. He came out with all his equipment. I located a water spout for him and left him busy to complete the job. He ended up leaving the carpet smelling sweet candy fresh. It smelt enticing to eat the carpet. The carpet looked completely brand new and lively! Devin even vacuumed up some debris that I had swept from the previous piss poor cleaner (Kasie at Space Center Movers Cleaners; I don't recommend). Devin and his son did a fantastic job cleaning our office carpet. We have them come in about every 3 months to clean. Between August and December, the amount of dirt we trafficked in was higher than usual. Plus there were stains from the kitchen to a desk where something was spilled. All gone now! I was a little disappointed with AcmeCarpet Cleaning. My husband and I just moved to Alvin, and the previous owner of the house had the house cleaned and had the carpet cleaned and deodorized for us for when we moved in. We moved in 10 days later, and the moment I walked in the door there was a dog odor. I messaged the previous owner to let her know that I was going to ask Acme to come back and redo the carpet in one room, and she agreed that I should call him. I called and explained the situation to him, and I immediately felt he thought I was trying to get something for nothing. I explained the situation to him, and he rudely told me I was a new customer, and he would charge me $110 for 2 rooms to come out. I let him know that the carpet was already cleaned and again gave him the information from the receipt that was left by them. I asked him if that's the way his company did things being we were from Florida, and he told me he would pull the receipt and call me back and we would discuss it further. I was more than happy to pay to have the carpet redone but not at full price. Maybe I'm wrong to feel that way, but why clean a carpet again that was cleaned 2 weeks prior and obviously!! there was no deodorizer used. Needless to say, I called PEARWOOD CARPET CLEANING and was very happy with their customer service. I explained our situation with Pearwood, and they were very accommodating with next day service. Called last week to set an appointment. Got the owner, he was available for appointments within a couple of days. I didn't need anything that fast though. I called the morning of the appointment while on the way to the property to confirm, and everything was in order. We negotiated the exact time, and he showed up then. There were some heavy stains, and he warned me that he might not be able to get them cleaned, but he would do his best. After a couple of hours of work, the carpets were cleaned FAR better than I expected, even after the warning about the stains.
