I needed a plumber to fix a sink drain on a Sunday, and I called about 5 places no one called back so I tried Acme and Mike pick right up said i have a job that morning but could be there after that he showed up and took care of the problem. Our property had a water leak somewhere beneath the slab. We called Acme and Mike detected the leak was beneath a bedroom which was located between the water heater in the garage and a bathroom. We attempted to go through the slab for the repair, but we soon discovered the slabs thickness in this spot was more than 12 inches thick. This is due to a huge footing that is visible from inside the garage, which the garage is at a lower level. So, we opted to reroute the copper water lines through the attic. My water heater had a leaky pipe that was messing up my wall so I called Acme. Mike answered the phone personally and said he could come "this afternoon" after he finished a job he was on, if that worked for me. He arrived early, and it was obvious he really cared about doing the job right because it concerned him that the pipes in my complex were plastic and not very durable. He went back to his truck 3 times to find the perfect piece to fit over the joint where the pipe was leaking so it would be a solid fix and not merely slapping a bandage over a mortal wound. After he replaced the part, he said it would take a couple hours to dry, so he came back later to check on it and turn my water back on. His fee was very reasonable and worth every cent. Noticed a leak coming out of the pressure adjustment valve in our front yard. Unknowingly and I knowledgeable, my husband and I reached out to numerous companies. Mike just saved me. I'm not one for hyperbole, but he was a godsend. I was switching out laundry while my husband was in the kitchen, and I heard a gurgling, bubbling noise from our downstairs bathroom. I didn't give it much thought until about an hour later when I was in my office and my husband came inside from the garage and yelled that we had a flood. The toilet in the downstairs bathroom had overflowed, and the shower tub was filling with I dont even know. We initiated damage control and grabbed towels, but when the washing machine began to drain, we got flooded again. I started calling plumbers. I called five plumbers and no one answered (it was about 3 or 4pm on Sunday). I finally got to Acme. I described the problem and he seemed to know exactly what it was, but he said he wouldn't be able to come until the morning. I resigned myself, but told him if he got finished with his current job early, I'd appreciate him coming by. He ended up knocking on my door a couple hours later and fixed the problem in like 15 minutes. So professional and courteous, and literally a lifesaver.
