The store has been renovated and now has a Starbucks inside. Prices are much more competitive! I come here about once a month now.

What I got…read moreis not only the thin meat as requested but also thin slices of the plastic that covers the meat. Don't you have to unwrap the meat in order to slice it? I don't know but this is what I had to pick out of the ham before I cooked it for quiche. Also, in the past I used to buy the Prochuitto there but at some point they started getting lazy and started cutting it thick! It tastes like a glob of meat which is why I now buy my Prochuitto at the Amish market in west town!!! They cut it so beautifully that it's a treat to eat!!!! I have had compliments on it too when served to guests!!!

I have to still say I kind of don't like coming here unless I am in the area for something else…read more The KOP Wegman's is much more preferable. Something to do with subtleties in the demographics of shoppers here. A segment little uppity, little HENRY. Of note, Vanguard HQ is close by. I personally prefer Fidelity. Those who know will understand. Anyhoo, reason for this update, Wegman's now features Korean Kim Bap ! Options I saw were vegan (what a shame since I personally like egg) and shrimp. The shrimp is there but small and unobstrusive but yet it works. This is the bomb for supermarket sushi, and now the best Wegman's have. To me, Wegman's sushi has always been meh, a reluctant buy for the occasional lunch, for its convenience. But the Kim Bap is different. It is pretty good. Tastes like the real thing imo. Nice bit of sesame oil and sesame seeds. Spinach, korean radish, the proper seaweed. My new go-to. Feels weird it still comes with the little fake wasabi packet and the pickled ginger. Totally unnecessary. Little pricey of course, compared to what you would buy in a Korean supermarket like Hmart or Assi. For this price, you would typically get double the amount. But this is worth it. And the Kim Bap at Korean supermarkets have gone downhill anyway. I suspect they are prepared by Mexicans that are often employed there.

It's much smaller than the newly-opened Hung Vuong for sure, but it also provides a much more efficient shopping experience--you won't feel overwhelmed and get lost in the endless aisles. New Chinese/Asian grocery store alert!…read more Located in the Swedesford Plaza shopping center, it's not big market, but very clean and well lit inside. Nice selections of Asian vegetables, fruits, price is not as low as Chinatown lower than some other suburban Asian markets. According to the owner, the produce comes in daily, which is great to know. Frozen section (dumplings, buns, fishballs, etc) contains some nice brands that I could only find in New York/North Jersey previously. They have meat and Seafood (frozen and live), especially live fish, lobster and crabs (seasonal). Tons of noodles, rice, tofu, dried goods, condiments, sauces, and big selection of snacks. Super nice owners. They kept telling me that they would continue to stock their shelves daily. If you need something specific and can't find, ask them; they get their supplies from Philly and New York and are willing to find items when there's a demand. If they're unable to find it due to supply shortage, they would tell you. I really appreciated their honesty. Real-time updates via WeChat group, but it's mostly in Chinese. I would wait a bit until they are fully stocked, but there's definitely great potential to be my go-to Asian grocery store. Note: their current closing time is 7:30, not 8pm.

Their prices are very reasonable compared to the local big supermarkets. You definitely get a bang for your buck! I love how I can come during my lunch or after work before going home, so convenient. This will be my new store. Remember to bring bags if you've never been here because you do have to bring them or you can buy some. If you're looking for quick checkouts, they do not have self checkouts at this location and their lines can get long. Sometimes you just need to ask them to call someone else up front to help ring up. That is the only downside of Aldis; Their cashiers are also the stock person and the cleaner of the store They really maximize their workers. I hope they are paying them well..
