I highly recommend Amy and ACME Party and Tent rental company. They came in at the last minute and completely saved our event. I've worked in live event production for over 20 years, including major festivals like Coachella, Stagecoach, and EDC, and it takes a lot to impress me, Amy did. Her level of service is exceptional. She handled our indoor bar, tables rentals seamlessly. When I arrived in Houston and realized the weather was much colder than expected, I called Amy in a bit of a panic. She immediately jumped in, found a solution, and had heaters secured for the event without hesitation. Problem solved, stress gone, everything was delivered on time and exactly as needed. The worst party/tent rental company I have encountered. They don't listen to what the customer requests. I have thrown a number of parties and worked with many vendors and I have never encountered such horrific customer service. The customer service is sub par. I hope you all take the time to read reviews before considering this company. I wish I had. I normally write good reviews and only write negative reviews when I'm truly at wits end and feel I'm now being taken advantage of. We worked with ACMA rental for the joint birthday party for my husband and myself on May 20th at Evelyn's Park. We originally planned to get a tent but decided not to due to cost and the weather was good that evening. We did need an extra table and linens plus glasses for wine and beer. Prices were very reasonable. In the end, Dede had the Park keep up a tent others had used at no cost to us. So very generous. Dede was responsive and reliable. Highly recommend. read more

Every Xmas, I have to use this place for extra seating for our annual Xmas Party. We typically get several chairs and a big table. Typically, the prices are very fair ($1.10 per chair and 8 or 10 bucks for the table) and the pickup and dropoff process are really fast and easy. My only complaint is the bristly old man who typically checks me out..he can be a little abrasive but nothing overtly rude. read more

We were supposed to received white chairs, instead we got yellow faded white chairs with scrap marks on them. I called them mentioning the issue and they mentioned to try tilex to make the chairs white. They were not professional, mentioning I should not be so worried about the faded chairs. From their great customer service to the quality of their products, I have been extremely pleased with this company. Worst customer service ever. Never delivered our order and when we called they said they didn't know what time. We specifically stated 9:00am. It was 10:30 am and our event started at 11:00am. We had no choice but to cancel. They REFUSED to refund the money because we "cancelled". Over $500.00. Adam, the manager told me to dispute with the credit card company. I also tried to call John Loughran, the owner, and left several messages. He never bothered to call back. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. VERY RUDE AND UNWILLINGLY TO SOLVE A VERY EASY ISSUE. read more

We booked with Acme Rental for our WEDDING DAY and had to deal with one problem after another the day before our wedding. The salesperson was aware that our reception was on grass and that our dance floor would need subflooring (which they charged us $600 for the day before the wedding!) but failed to mention this when we booked our tent. She said we would have sides on our tent (which we needed on a very windy day) but the day of delivery they had zero sides with them and when I called to have sides delivered the man we spoke with multiple times that day said they were completely booked and there was nothing they could do about it (AND THERE WAS NO MANAGER I COULD SPEAK TO). Our chair and linen order was also delivered incomplete. We have emailed Acme in regards to our dissatisfaction with their service multiple times and have not, in a month, received a single response. The option wouldn't allow me to choose no stars otherwise I would have chose no stars. This place has horrible customer service. A friend used them for a birthday party. After they did not deliver as promised my friend was told she would have to dispute the charge on her cc rather than them doing the right thing and crediting her back for services they did not provide. After she made a complaint on their Facebook page a woman called from their company harassing her and warned her not to post any more negative comments. read more

This company will rip you off without a care. I rented chairs and tables. I returned all chairs and tables. They said we were missing 2 chairs. Even though the correct number of chairs were in the unloading area, they said 2 of the chairs weren't ours. They said those chairs were already there. However, they admitted that they clear the unloading area between each customer. I asked them to investigate, watch video or whatever get back with me. They just charged me for the chairs and never got back with me. Very unprofessional. They are not a customer friendly business. I will never use them again. I was very displeased with the service (delivery) that I received. When the tables, chairs and tent were delivered, there was no call to inform me that they were on their way (which I requested). Once they started setting up the tent, they were careless with the water barrels and got water all over the area that was under the tent and it became muddy (where my guests would be) and when they came back to pick up the tent, etc they left my gate wide open!! I get home at night to find my gate wide open and I almost had a heart attack thinking someone tried to break in my house. I won't be using ACME again! read more

First of all I would like to start with an advice: STAY AWAY OF THIS COMPANY!!!!! My first impression was awesome. Could not be different after some reasonable discounts considering I was paying in cash. But here goes the truth: They don´t know how to work with people. They don´t know how to handle problems. I was in my weeding day with a lot of things pending to do and they called me with a problem in my credit card telling me if the information was not updated right away the order was going to be cancelled. It was not all... Avoid any unexpected situation, because apparently they don´t know what is "unexpected situation" and they will charge you every single penny of the "supposed" discount they gave you in the beggining. I could not be more disappointed. The delivery is in their time and who cares about having a planning day, right? HORRIBLE service and disgusting people to work with. Quality was just ok.
