I attended the RV Show February 11th. Nice space and fun yearly event I enjoy. Ticket sales people are nice and the ticket takers are nice as well. The facility is clean with nice bathrooms.

These are gross!! Fake, fake, fake. These are not your yummy Louisiana or even Texas Beignets. It's like getting the cheapest worst tasting mini donuts. Picture looks amazing on display or their sign. Not so!! So sad, I just waisted my money!! Almost $12. Arrrrrrr ewwwww! These are the four left and about throw away!

Rodeo, Car shows, conferences, sporting events, concerts, carnivals, etc... Reliant Park offers it all. the place is HUGE including the Astrodome, Reliant stadium, the Reliant Arena, and the Reliant Center. There is tons of parking but its availability depends on the event you are going to. I was recently there for the Rodeo and before that a conference at the Reliant Center. I have always found the overall set up to be good. Parking can be rough sometimes, but that's what you get for going there during the Rodeo. I avoid going some places (like the med center) because of their confusion and lack of parking. Reliant Park is always clearly marked and you know where you are going! Just make sure to put your walking shoes on before you set off!

It being my first time going to NRG I want quite sure what to expect. I will say this though that NRG and Google/ Apple maps need to figure out why the orange parking lot is sending people to the wrong location. Outside of that everything else flowed so smoothly! From parking passes to checking in, everything was digital with plenty of kiosk all around. The lines flowed so smoothly you would've never thought that there were over 60k people in attendance. Also thank God the A/C was working because temps were at 100 degrees and I would've passed out for sure. There were plenty of food trucks outside of the stadium, but once inside you were kind of limited to your typical hotdogs, nachos, and the sort. I tried the hotdog which was just ok and the chicken fingers tasted more like fried pieces of batter than actual chicken smh. So likely didn't get much chicken to say the least. Now the fries were exceptional! Thankfully fifa also allowed guests to bring in one water bottle do that cane in clutch along with fill up stations all around the facilities. The game was the highlight of the experience! Watching Canada vs Morocco in action was amazing. The energy inside of NRG was unmatched. Everyone was just so respectful and nice. Even though two of the players did get into a lil argument at one point in the game. Overall, great seats for a once in a lifetime experience! Thank you NRG for being apart of the World Cup tour. Just work on those chicken fingers because that was unacceptable.

In terms of food and drink, I was really impressed with the number of options. They have two full service food counters on either side of the arena. While I personally did not get anything, I saw people passing by with nachos and popcorn. If you want something a little more substantial Antones Poboys and Chick-fil-a were both set up for grab and go. They also had lots of alcoholic beverage options from tall boy beers, liquor for cocktails and even a spiked fresh lemonade stand. The arena has a fan shop onsite, some historical displays and a kid coloring zone. The game itself was well played (they won!) and executed from the announcer to the lights and entertainment. I tend to forget about this venue as it is sandwiched between NRG Stadium and the Astrodome. NRG Arena is definitely old school (it was built in 1974). It actually reminds me of Burger Center in Austin which was also built in the 70s (IYKYK). The capacity is 8K, but it seemed smaller to me. Because it's an older venue, it doesn't have features such as illuminated stairs (like Toyota Center). People were using their cell phone flash lights to go up and down the stairs in the dark. The concourse area is a bit on the small side. The bathrooms weren't great but they weren't a complete disaster. On my last visit, I attended the World AIDS Day concert with Janet Jackson (she was amazing!). The staff was helpful with finding our seats as well as the merch table. We had a row of just 3 chairs which meant we had the entire row to ourselves (my best friend is brilliant lol). The sound quality was better than I was expecting, though at one point the volume of Janet's vocals seemed off. I didn't buy any food or drinks, but I imagine it's overpriced like any other venue. Tip: Check their socials for info on parking, bag policy, etc. Parking for the show was $20 (though it varies by event) and they do take cash and credit. The parking lot is right next to the arena so you don't have to walk terribly far. NRG Arena is okay. It's definitely not my favorite venue in the city, but it's good enough.

Among the NFL's current 32 teams, the Houston Texans are one of the worst. At the time of writing…read morethis review, they rank among the bottom five in terms of both regular season and postseason win percentage. However, the Texans are also the NFL's newest team. They joined the league in 2002. Most of the NFL's teams were established in the 1970s or earlier, though there was a small group that joined in the 90s: the Baltimore Ravens (1996), Jacksonville Jaguars (1995), and Carolina Panthers (1995). If you look at the league's four newest teams - Texans, Ravens, Jaguars, Panthers - only the Ravens have won a Super Bowl. Baltimore has won two, in fact: XXXV in 2001 (2000 season) and XLVII in 2013 (2012 season). The Panthers made it to two Super Bowls, but didn't win either of them: XXXVIII in 2004 (2003 season) and 50 in 2016 (2015 season). Both the Texans and Jaguars have zero Super Bowl appearances. They're two of only four teams to have never reached a Super Bowl. On average, the Texans have performed better than than the Jaguars with more division championships (AFC South) and playoff appearances. The Texans had decent success from the 2011 through 2019 seasons with six playoff appearances in nine seasons (67% appearance rate). This approximately decade-long stretch was primarily led by head coaches Gary Kubiak and Bill O'Brien. Kubiak would go on to win the aforementioned Super Bowl 50 as head coach of the Denver Broncos. I'm a fan of O'Brien because he was the offensive coordinator at Georgia Tech when I was a student at Georgia Tech. O'Brien worked at Georgia Tech from 1995 to 2002. Those were some great years for our football team. O'Brien is currently the OC and quarterbacks coach for Nick Saban at Alabama. JJ Watt, one of the greatest defensive linemen of all time, was drafted by the Texans with the 11th pick in the 2011 draft. Watt played for the Texans through the 2020 season -- 10 years a Texan. He racked up three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards (2012, 2014, 2015) while in Houston. Watt's three DPOY awards tie him with two other defensive greats, Aaron Donald and Lawrence Taylor, for most DPOY awards won. Watt left the Texans last year (2021) and now plays for the Arizona Cardinals. He was no doubt a big loss for the franchise and the Greater Houston community. Since Bill O'Brien, the Texans have had a fast-moving coaching carousel with four different head coaches in just the last three seasons: O'Brien and Romeo Crennel in 2020, David Culley in 2021, and now Lovie Smith in 2022.

I have been to rodeos prior in Fort Worth, but definitely on a much smaller scale. Overall, we had a great experience and I would recommend the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, albeit with some pre-planning as it was a bit difficult to navigate. When we initially arrived via Uber, we were dropped off at the rideshare drop off/pick up area, and it was a little walk to the stadium, where we were able to pretty quickly and seamlessly go through security and make our way into the grounds. Once inside, we did have some trouble navigating where/what we were going to since we are new to the event, but we were able to find our way to the livestock show after some trial and error. Once in the stadium, we immediately decided to grab some drinks before we found our seats. Unfortunately our experience was not the best, and when we ordered drinks we felt disregarded and the staff member helping us was rude and short with us. After we received our drinks, we were making our way to our seats and the $14 Mr Pibbs were completely flat, but we were anxious to go back after our experience with the staff. However, the staff who directed us to our seats were amazing! Not only were they super helpful, but after the concert they took photos for me and my best friend which was so kind and I will cherish forever, since we live states away from each other and rarely get photos together. The livestock show and rodeo was so fun and interactive, and we had the best time watching all of the events and hearing the commentary. The concert was also awesome, and the setup was perfect for all angles to enjoy seeing the act. We saw the Red Clay Strays and it was such an amazing experience. Afterwards, we made our way to the carnival just for some after concert snacks and to see the ambiance, and it was great! We grabbed some esquites and there was plentiful seating to people watch and enjoy the carnival energy. Afterwards however, we weren't able to order our Uber to the same drop off zone for some reason, so we were hesitant but had to order to a sushi restaurant a short walk nearby. It was definitely scary walking as two girls over there, and we did our best to stick around other rodeo-goers, but the shady taxi drivers and men carrying phones flashing their driver options were very insistent and invasive of us, heckling us with constant questions after we politely declined. One driver even circled us blasting music, and it was nerve-wracking since we aren't from Houston and are young women. I would hope that in the future these "drivers" can be deterred from the area or the rideshare zone can be better advertised or organized to prevent instances like these. Otherwise, we did make it out safely and in the future will be better prepared to get in and out of the rodeo!
