They have some really great deals if you like Samsung and LG appliances. Washer/dryer sets,…read morerefrigerators and ranges. New with bumps and bruises.

Let me preface this review with the fact that this shop sells scratched/dented and reconditioned…read moreappliances, not new ones. Some of them look a little rough and some look very rough, but they are priced accordingly. My washer gave out two weeks ago and right now, a new washing machine just isn't in the budget, so a coworker recommended Airport Appliance. They had a LOT of appliances, all reconditioned (with anywhere from a 45- to 90-day warranty, but if a used machine is going to fail, it will probably fail in the first month). Long story short, I bought a washing machine. Two days later, two wiry little guys (they are always wiry little guys) delivered my washer and took away my old one (delivery and take-away charge is $45), but the reconditioned one didn't work. You can imagine my thoughts at that point, but I called Airport Appliance right away and they promised a repairman first thing Monday. They not only came through, but the machine now works like a Sherman tank -- it's one of those old ones like everyone's grandmother had -- the kind that last for 20 years. I am pretty confident that it won't fail again (caveat: if it lasts two years, it'll owe me nothing, because one trip to the laundromat cost me $18), but if it does, I'm also confident that their repairman can fix it. This place has better customer service and nicer staff than most of the big box stores I've been to lately. They know more about the stuff they sell, they don't want the hassle of unhappy customers, and they don't try to hard-sell a stupid extended warranty that is all profit for the store. Plus, they do what they say they are going to do, and they take your old stuff away and either give it a new life or recycle it. It's a nice concept in this throw-away world we live in.

Zero stars. This place is shady and HIGHLY unprofessional! I have had numerous issues with the…read morefridge I purchased, it's had three service calls in three months, including this last one where they came to pick it up to work on it at their shop and it was gone a full MONTH! Unacceptable. I found out my fridge sat there for TWO WEEKS before anyone even touched it...this after I was told repeatedly it was in for repair. Not the case at all. I was repeatedly lied to and my phone calls were constantly brushed off. Rarely did they ever call me back or know what the hell was going on whenever I called them. The "Big Frank" that the company is named after is aptly named, however "creepy" might be better suited. He told me if I scratched/massaged his back he would deliver my fridge for free. Are you freaking kidding me?? I like to save a buck but that is disgusting. That should have been a clue right there but, alas, it wasn't. I have since learned they are under new ownership since my original purchase but I have dealt with the new folks during the month they were "working" on my fridge and they may not be creepy like Frank but they without a doubt are incredibly rude and mega unprofessional. The delivery people are some of the worst as well. They did not take my front door off the hinges and proceeded to scratch the fridge after they forced it through the doorway, even though it clearly wasn't fitting properly. They also were lazy and instead of walking 3 extra feet off the front porch, they cut through my front yard and walked through an entire section of plants and flowers. Not only did they completely trample them, the grill guard from the bottom of the fridge got caught on the plants and ripped completely off and they just left it lying in my garden area. What a bunch of disrespectful jerks. I could go on and on about many other instances of wrongdoing but I think you get the idea. This was by far THE WORST retail experience I have ever had! Please heed my warning!! You will thank me later. Note: This company is also called "Discount Appliances" and "Appliance Warehouse". Same company. All located on Halls Ferry in Florissant. They also have a few other locations such as St. Charles and Barnhart, MO.

I should have read all the other negative reviews on this place before I gave them a dime. Every…read moresingle website I go to says the same... Here is my story. I bought a fridge that they lied and claimed that it was an unsused "scratch and dent" model. There were no shelves in it when it was in the store, but when it arrived, there was plenty of moldy crumbs left behind. It was delivered the third appointment that was set, with all sorts of excuses on why they missed it the first two times, and the third time it was three hours late. IT DID NOT WORK! They told me to give it a couple days. Finally they sent a repair person to the house who "fixed"it. They put me off for another week before sending a second repair guy out who said they needed to order parts. A week later, part arrived, and they needed to schedule a time to pick it up to fix it in the shop. A few missed appointments later, they finally picked it up. After a few weeks and many unreturned phone calls, they said it was working and scheduled delivery. As usual, not on time or close to reasonably late. And again, I was delivered a fridge that did not work. They eventually agreed to give me a refund and pick up the crap that they sold me. Now it has been a few months and still no refund. They are now offering store credit. LIKE THERE IS ANYTHING IN THEIR STORE THAT I WOULD WANT IN MY HOUSE NOW!!! Don't buy their crap, and save yourself from their lies and lack of service!
