Recently we had an appointment for our remaining dog that we had to cancel at the last minute due to a family medical emergency. We rescheduled the appointment but they insisted on charging us $32 for a missed appointment as well. We asked them as a courtesy to remove the charge since we were long time customers with no previous missed appointments. The tech took down some information and then proceeded to leave and say the vet would be in shortly. After waiting about 20 minutes the tech comes in and says "I'm sorry because you were late for your appt, the doctor is going to euthanize a pet and then you will get seen". Although I feel terrible for the people putting down their dog I proceeded to explain I was not late, it was the check in process. We were checked in late because the male employee was helping an elderly couple. I even told her the entire conversation. I also explained it took a while for me to get this appt because I had 2 dogs and my husband had to be home to help me. I told her I wanted to speak to the vet before she went and saw another client. I waited an additional 15 minutes in the room. It is now 5:40 and my appt was for 4:55pm. I was so angry I got up and left.!! I have been a client of there's for close to 20 years.
